Lack of communication in regards to pool and hot tub not being working- booked rooms with a pool. Would have changed reservations if this was known. Was asked to cancel reservations upon check in after traveling 7.5 hours!!!! Not happy

The person who checked us in was very nice and helpful! Loved the sitting area with chairs etc. right outside the front door. The lobby was beautiful. The room needed some updating but was comfortable! I wish the breakfast had been open a little bit later than 9 o’clock. My only disappointment was that the hot tub was not working- routine maintenance. When I checked other reviews it looks like it had been down for 9 months.

The rooms are large suites. There was a lot of room. The things in the room worked including the thermostat and A/C. The bed was comfortable, shower and tub worked well. I didn't use the pool since kids were playing in it and I didn't want to disturb them. The dinner options were adequate. The bar/diner staff were great and service was great. The coffee was good. The elevator stopped working, so I had to carry luggage up a couple flights of stairs.

Staff friendly and efficient, room was clean. Rotted window frame, water damaged wallpaper, nasty looking shower head and old worn toilet seat. The hot tub was closed with no water in it and the pool was all chipped up and looked dirty and the exercise room is weird,broken machines and stinky. I would definitely not stay here again now would I recommend it to anyone.

I thought that the setup on the inside of the property was beautiful and was very nice outside too. The breakfast had good options and having dining services available there was nice also, even though we didn't use the dining services we did eat the breakfast for our weekend there. The downside of the property, we didn't feel safe our last night there because we quickly realized that when one door opened and was closed hard from other rooms our door would pop open. The side door of the property that is supposed to be used only for guests with a card was broken. The housekeepers had taken stuff out of my bag that didn't belong to them and my shampoo bottle had been opened. My sister and I have traveled a lot growing up and we were taught by our parents how to watch for certain things. If it wasn't the U.P. I would have told my sister lets go find another place. Honestly the owner just really needs to fix some things and it would be a great and wonderful place to stay. With this economy and the way people are now though, who knows that maybe the issue to solving the issues we had.

It’s was OK for just a night. It seemed like we were interrupting two employees working on something when we came to the counter to check in. And then they had to log back into their system and it seemed a little odd. We ran an errand and came back to the room to relax before dinner and we had an employee use a key card and open our door on us. It was very confusing and a little alarming as we were not expecting that. He did apologize and we called down to the lobby to just confirm they had an employee who was doing that on our floor (they said the person was doing checks on the cleanliness of the rooms). But that took us by surprise and sort of gave us an uneasy feeling. The bathroom faucets and drains were corroded and rusty. And the bathroom ceiling had black mold. We did not feel it was very sanitary.

When I first checked in the front desk woman acted annoyed that she had to help me. She didn’t smile or even say hello. When she asked for my card for incidentals, she told me my credit card had been declined even though there was an issue with the 3rd party site I booked through, not my card itself. When I got to my room I walked in and noticed that there were dirty towels on the floor and an unmade bed. The room was still dirty from the day before (and I didn’t check in until 730/8pm). When I went to the desk to tell her, she again acted annoyed that she had to get me another room. When I got to second room, it smelled horribly of smoke and air freshener in an attempt to mask the smell, even though it was seemed a “non-smoking” room. The hallways were dingy and dirty, and the rooms and halls smelled of mildew. Even the coffee was Luke warm and weak. You couldn’t pay me to stay here again.

The first room we were checked into, the bathroom ceiling was literally covered in black mold! The TV also didn’t work, but it didn’t matter because I immediately requested a new room. The gentleman at the front desk was very kind and helpful and switched us right away. The next room was fine, although the TV didn’t work in that one either! We were exhausted from traveling all day though and didn’t feel like switching again so just dealt with it. My son loved the pool, although it was extremely cloudy. Breakfast was great, large selection. Overall just an okay stay.

Our room was very unclean, with hair and dirt on the floor and stains/spills on the walls. Our room was near an exterior door that did not have a closer on it, so it was constantly being slammed open and shut keeping us up all night. I would not recommend this hotel.

The room was comfortable and breakfast was great. The only problem that we experienced was the room key cards were not working most of the time. I work in a hotel and I sympathized with the front desk associate however we were told that if we couldn’t get back into the room without the keycard there wasn’t anything they could do until the morning, that they had no options to help us if the key cards did not work. We finally got in the room after about half an hour on the first night and four trips downstairs from the third floor. Then the second and third night we had the same issue. I did not feel confident leaving our room at all without one of us staying inside at all times for fear we would never be able to re-enter. Every time we saw someone in the elevator or downstairs they were also complaining of the same issue.

Great room. Updated furnishings. Awful heating, cooling system . Even at the lowest setting, the windiw unit dan was unbearably loud, which required a loud TV and kept us awake. Turning it off made the room stuffy. Quality Inn should replace their thread bare bath towels, unplug the bath tub drain, and fix the bath heat and air celing lamp.

Have stayed here several times, and this will likely be the last. We had to request a room change as the first room we got did not have a working TV. The microwave wasn’t even plugged in… same for the fridge so it was actually warm inside. Went to call the front desk and the room telephone didn’t even have a cord..WTH! Got assigned to a new room, but everything, the furniture and the overall decor appears to be original and somewhat beat-up. The room couch just seemed kind of gross, such that we could not even bring ourselves to sit on it.

The hotel was easy to access with dining possibilities and shopping near by. I can't remember a whole lot but that only means our stay was problem free. The were accommodating in allowing us to book the room for an additional night and staff were friendly.

They gave my room away, gave me another room- that room had someone in it. Went back to get another room- only had one king bed, and I requested two queen. Told me that was all they had left, but then changed and found us a room with two queen beds. Hallway smelled of smoke— my husband is allergic and has asthma. Staff was very kind, but experience was not very good.

I prepaid/prebooked a stay. I called the hotel to ensure that my late check in would be ok. They assured me, everything was fine. I arrived on site, and was given a trashed room. Garbage everywhere, blankets on the floor. I went to the front desk thinking they will make this right and I was told I can't get a king room that I paid for, but I could get a regular room but I would have to pay the same price. That was irritating. I went to the new room and that was also trashed. Garbage piled in the corner, bed tore apart. I went to the front desk again and she told me that's all I have. Reluctantly, I stared looking for a new place to sleep. She then repeateded that she didn't have another room like she was shooing me out of the lobby. She never apologized or offered a refund. So when I was pushed out the door that was just unbelievable. Will not stay here again

I did not feel confident leaving our room at all without one of us staying inside at all times for fear we would never be able to re-enter. Every time we saw someone in the elevator or downstairs they were also complaining of the same issue.

Stayed for only 1 night but check in was quick and easy. Upon waking up the next morning at 9am housekeeping knocked once and entered into the room and I was undressed, and they knocked again shortly after that again, check out is at 11am. Just because of that probably wouldn’t stay here again.

When I first checked in the front desk woman acted annoyed that she had to help me. She didn’t smile or even say hello. When she asked for my card for incidentals, she told me my credit card had been declined even though there was an issue with the 3rd party site I booked through, not my card itself. When I got to my room I walked in and noticed that there were dirty towels on the floor and an unmade bed. The room was still dirty from the day before (and I didn’t check in until 730/8pm). When I went to the desk to tell her, she again acted annoyed that she had to get me another room. When I got to second room, it smelled horribly of smoke and air freshener in an attempt to mask the smell, even though it was seemed a “non-smoking” room. The hallways were dingy and dirty, and the rooms and halls smelled of mildew. Even the coffee was Luke warm and weak. You couldn’t pay me to stay here again.

The front desk staff need to be trained properly. Check in staff was rude in her tone and attitude that I had used Expedia. Additionally, when I checked out I was yelled at by the front desk staff about not calling to check out - which I did as I left early at 8a and wanted her to know that our room was empty for their housekeeping staff. Upon leaving, she stopped me in the hallway to tell me I was not checking out properly. Then, she told me I didn’t pay. I said I booked and paid on Expedia. Then, she said. Oh it’s paid. We stayed in room 305. Location was great. Right on main road. Clean room, bit outdated, but comfortable. Parts of the wallpaper was coming undone at the seams and was definitely old and dated. Everything worked in our room except for the heating lamp in the bathroom. Breakfast was fine for what it was. My partner enjoyed it the day after we had arrived. I had half a bagel with peanut butter. The pool area was nice and spacious. Nice large pool area and wonderful hot tub. We enjoyed the hot tub very much and stated that it was one of the best ones we've ever used...until I had mold floating near me. We looked and realized that underneath the edges of hot tub was not scrubbed/cleaned and debris was literally coming off from the tub and into the water. We spent maybe 15 mins in the jetted hot tub, saw the floating mold, got out and spent another 15-20 mins in the pool and shortly hopped out since we didn't want to get sick. We never went back the pool area after that. My partner was disappointed since he had really wanted a good soak in the hot tub. It was extremely disappointing since we had chosen the hotel for it's fair price and pool area. Hoping not to have this experience the next time we return with our children.

This property has a wonderful bar and restaurant, but it was not open on a Friday or Saturday night. ????? I have stayed at this property numerous times over the past decade and it had been wonderful. I was shocked to see that the maintenance and housekeeping had taken a severe decline over the past three years! I hope management reads this review and cleans up this place to be the best hotel in town again!

Over all it was a clean room to stay the night. Heat lamp in shower didn't work. Breakfast was ok...hot food wasn't hot. No milk available for cereal. Associate wasn't available to ask for milk.

It was okay, definitely dated but what do you expect in the UP. Breakfast wasn’t very good. Room was clean. I am pretty sure I heard a rodent in the bathroom wall. Tub diverter needs replaced only got half of the water to come out of the shower head. There is definitely long term occupants, but they were quiet and respectful. It was winter so it wasn’t busy at all.

The room was very clean and nice. The only thing that wasn’t 5 star was breakfast… the eggs were cold and gross and the sausage didn’t taste right. Waffles were good so we pitched the eggs and ate waffles!

Room was somewhat clean. On our second evening the toilet clogged, we were told no one here to fix that till morning. Had to ask for second room. Breakfast was terrible, I know they never ate it. Bacon burnt, premade omelette were cold, and what they call gravy is like eating pepper paste. Won’t go back!
