Quiet, clean and super convenient to everything. The motel is definitely on the outdated but we didn't lack for anything: room was clean, equipped with all the basics and staff was helpful and friendly. Every room gets one parking spot and beach badges. Pool is open from 10 am - 10pm and they serve coffee and bagels 8:30-10:30 am. I'd stay here again and would recommend.

The room was really clean, and the staff was all very nice. The location was amazing. The pool was really convenient and nice to lay at after a day at the beach. We extended our check out until 6pm and it was so easy and convenient and really added so much to our short trip.

We had an ocean front room and the view was definitely good. There are good amounts of seating out front and the free bagels and coffee on the weekends was nice. We were told when we arrived that the pool would be heated on Saturday and Sunday, however when I asked on Sunday, they said it was too cold to heat the pool, which was completely unexpected. It was close to 70 degrees and a little windy but I was not aware that this would be too cold for heating the pool.

Staff was great, clean room, beautiful new railings and steps, and beach right across the street. Coffee was delicious in the lobby, with bagels in the morning. A big let down was they advertised HEATED POOL, it was not, it was freezing. The outdoor shower was not working either. I chose this place for a heated pool because the Ocean is too cold this time of year. And I'm to old for cold 😆.

were does one start. Just an fyi, this is not the first time we have stayed here( multiple times). As a result we fully expected to be happy with our stay. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Having learned of your early check in which would allow us to park, and use the facilities , this is just what we did. 1) facilities- pool, was overflowing, not only out of the pool, but around it, out into the front parking spaces, and then out into the street. 2) having a toddler even walking around the pool was a hazard. 3) people came and got checked, in, and we sat , and sat until 3:58 conveniently came along and the room was ready. 4) room-bed, and day bed. bottom of day bed) holes in cushions) could not be opened as the a/c unit blocked its path. Even if the night table was moved out of the way the bed would have to go katy corner. 5) wall on window side of day bed lined with rust... really!! 6) bed-the sound along of the metal springs was a joke, how old was that mattress 30yrs old? 7) now I may be mistaken but i believe the person you had getting the rooms ready was at the same time trying to care for a very small child at the same time. 8) i understand it was end of season, but that room was a mess, and frankly no one should have been staying there. and when pictures were shown to the girl at counter, the answer for the rust was, well its an outside wall, seriously. Just shook my head. You would think an offer for another room would been made never again.....

I had a great off-season stay, and the staff were amazing. However, the motel was under construction so weekdays were noisy and inhibited the use of balconies and common areas. I wish Expedia had disclosed this as I might have gone elsewhere to relax. Once the construction is done, it's going to be fabulous!

Small but clean pool. Owners raised the heat when other guests complained how cold it was. Free bagels and coffee in the am was great! Beds were not the most comfortable but clean. Loved the location at the end of the boardwalk

The property was located pretty close to the beach. Nothing much to expect from 3star motel, but towels were dirty or had hairs on them and all over the room. Even when i asked to get new towels on reception i got the same dirty towels and being told "these are fresh out of laundry it's just a couple of stains on them"

Check-in was easy and the staff was friendly. The room has an odd smell and wasn't very clean. The beds are not comfortable; you feel springs throughout and it dips in the middle from overuse. We ended up forfeiting our second night to find a nicer place to stay.

The location was the only good thing about this hotel. Beach is right across the street. Boardwalk is a short walk. I waited at the desk for 15 min before being checked in. Rang the “bell”. As instructed. Rang to a phone that was left at the desk. Hotel is very run down. Cement walls. Sink that backed up. Shower head sprayed everywhere. Bed was so uncomfortable. Could feel the springs. No one got very much sleep because of how uncomfortable they were.

The hotel is very convenient for beach and boardwalk access. Can easily walk to restaurants and shops. The room was clean and orderly. The description states it is "quiet" and has "designer toiletries". We stayed in Rm 101 and had no one next to us the first night. The second night, someone was next door and you can hear every word they say and any other noise in the room. The toiletries are nothing to brag about and assume the TP is super thin to protect the sewer system. Towels, washcloths were not designer in any way but were acceptable. Not sure how they have a 8.2 rating other than location, condition and nice staff.

Room was WAY smaller than pictures not even a chair to sit on. Tv was so small couldn't hardly see from bed place is old and in need of repairs. Outlet on wall falling off. Not enough outlets for plugging in iPhones and iPads. No place to put luggage except on floor. No couterspace in bathroom. Sink faucet had hot n cold water on opposite sides.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The proximity to the beach and boardwalk are fantastic. Directly across the Street. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful and the rooms were clean. Towels and bathroom could use an update, but not terrible. The rooms are very close together so there is no privacy. You can hear everything and everyone talking as if they are in your room. However, everyone was very considerate. Overall, not a bad hotel for the money.

The positive is the great location. Very convenient to the beach and boardwalk yet quiet. The negatives are the difficult parking on premise, the poor WiFi and inability to access the Direct TV. The room was small but clean with exception of the window coverings that were in very poor condition.

This is an older motel that has some renovations. The room was small and the bed a little hard but the location is great. It is an easy walk across the street to the dunes and boardwalk. The staff is great and accommodating and the pool is well done. The hotel is located in a relatively quiet area.

Basic room is what I paid for and a basic room is what I got. Pros - the beach is across the street and property is close to the boardwalk. I really like the location of the property. I liked the water pressure in the shower. Cons - I didn't care to be placed right next to supply closet for the cleaning staff. I was awoken early by their conversations each morning. The walls seem to be thin for one doesn't have to be loud to be overheard by others. Just sharing so others can make informed decisions when booking a stay.

The staff were wonderful. We arrived early and Stella was able to let us preview our room to settle any worries when comparing the other places to stay in the area. The Charltroy is safe, clean, and has helpful staff as well as conveniences such as morning refreshments, local info guides, and a community library.

Stayed at the Charlroy Motel for two nights and it was a nice quiet area, the rooms were very clean. The motel is located across the street from the boardwalk. Upon arrival we were greeted with smiles and a lot of great food suggestions that was walking distance from the beach. They also supplied us with free coffee and bagels every morning.

This place was great. The staff was so friendly. The areas were clean. My room was spotless and the decor was nice too. The pool was nice and the convenience of the being able to cross the street to the beach was awesome. Highly recommend!

We spent one night here. First the motel is in desperate need of renovations. This seems to be the case with most motels in Seaside, but at their rates, an update is needed. The morning of checkout we were gathering our things to go. It was 1105am (check out was 11am) & despite having a "do not disturb" sign on the door the maid entered the room without a knock or any alert of any kind. That in itself is unacceptable. We let her know that we'd be out shortly. At that point we obviously were rushing. We hurried out at 11:10-11:15am & checked out. The front desk girls were very nice both upon check in and check out. Unfortunately, in my haste, I left behind a brush & a very expensive hairdryer in the bathroom. I didn't find this out until the next morning (Weds). I called first thing in the AM & told them I had left behind a hairdryer & asked if they could put it aside & I'd be down to get it the next day. The girl who answered (who was seemingly being coached by someone in the background) said "they haven't seen anything yet, but that the maid probably just didn't have time to get it to them yet because she's very busy & there's only 2 of them." Mind you, it was a Tues just after 11am that she was cleaning our room. I called all week & continued getting the same response that no one saw it & someone would call me back. It's disturbing that it was never turned in & I never heard back. Id never stay there again simply because of the dishonesty if nothing else.

I was greeted by a nice and friendly staff, Stella. She made me feel at home after a long and late night trip. For the lady that I spoke to for my late check out, thank you for accommodating me over the phone. I left early to drive back to the airport and totally forgot to check out. For the two gentlemen (pictures on the wall)) thank you for your service! Great customer service!

They weren't very coopertive to put me on a lower lever because i had a broken foot. The beds were so hard. Very loud guests at night and the street sweepers were cleaning the beach parking lot at 7am. So we really got no sleep. The receptionist was amazing. Definitely wont stay her again.

I enjoyed the beach view. You could watch the sunrise from your room and deck. It is located on one end of the boardwalk, which made for beautiful walks. The staff were very friendly. The boardwalk had many food restaurant options. A quiet, safe part of town. We even saw Wales.

Tthe place is directly across the beach and Boardwalk! It was very clean!! Stella was excellent at front desk. They post info on everything that is happening in area. Pool. And daily bagels and coffee. The place rocks.

As always, great location and easy access to beach, boardwalk, and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. It's an older property, but room was very clean with updated flooring and bathroom. Bagels and coffee are exceptional-- and a great bonus to our stay!
