First Western Inn - Fairmont City

Old hotel. Probably OK when 1st built but has sunk to current level. It does have free parking and easy access to the freeway. My room smelled of old smoke covered by some sort of cleaning scent. It did get better by the second day. No In room coffee but the filling station next door had excellent coffee

It was as expected for the price. Don’t stay during the races or you’ll have a heck of a time getting to your room!

After I finally checked in I went to the room and set my stuff on a table that seemed to be the only clean furniture in the room. The room layout was nice. It did have a refrigerator that was very clean but on the inside only. The bedding had stains and burn holes. One stain did indeed look exactly like a blood stain. There was a chair and a love seat that appeared to be packed with dirt and was obviously covered in overlapping stains. The bathtub was held together with white duct tape. The iron had some kind of substance on the under side of it that ruined my good hat. The floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned and there were cigarette ashes on the floor. There was a party in the parking lot and a party in each room on both sides of room 7(I stayed in room 7). The door to the room had one lock (deadbolt) unoperational. There were two other ways to keep the door shut. I got there just in time to go prepare for my day at the track so I just went and upon my return I wanted a refund for my room. I explained all of this to the man who claimed to be the manager. I was refunded for one day. Not acceptable staff was very angry and disrespectful about asking for a refund.

They did not have our reservation. Thank God they didnt because the place was a mess. Looked like low rent housing and a large fight was going on in the parking lot. We move on.

Spiders in the bathtub, ceiling fan didn't work, bloodstained mattress, hadn't been dusted in a while. Called the desk and was told i couldn't get a refund

The room is out of date and dingy the staff is extremely rude and the next morning I found a used condom on the floor against the bed but it was the location that I needed

Desk reception pretented to barely speak English so he charge me 10 dollars more than my reservation with Expedia said would be.... And room smelled gross. And that's coming from someone who's spend over 2 weeks riding around country on a harley.... Avoid this place

It was a good trip check in was fast and room are very clean

Our room had multiple dead bugs on the table, sink counter, and in bathroom. We had a non-smoking room but it shared a door with a smoking room which defeated the purpose. The beds were very broken down and caved in the middle. The motel is in desperate need of an upgrade.

As our initial accommodation booking cancelled last minute, we were glad to get this booking. Basic room: clean, antique furniture, comfy beds, good storage space, powerful warm shower, Working microwave, refrigerator, television, WiFi temperamental

Analog tv programming didn’t provide good picture quality. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Convenient to WWT Raceway.

Very accommodating and friendly staff. Room was a little outdated, but clean, and beds were super comfy. Pillows were super squishy and 1 per person did not do the job. Not our favorite place but was our best option and we slept great.

What I didn’t like is that the tv didn’t have all the channels that was on the paper in the room & I think the dirty channel should be locked & if you want to watch it then you have to pay for the channel to be unlocked because, I don’t know if they ever has kids come with their parents.

The ceiling fan did not work nor the telephone. The remote on the TV would not fully work. We told the people at the hotel about these things and they said “oh we know”.

This place needs some serious help. The bed was actually very comfy...otherwise it would be 1 star. There was only one roll of TP for a 4 day stay. They begrudgingly gave another roll when asked. The people running the place have pretty much zero customer service skills. All in all the hotel needs to be refurbished...it is VERY run down. Nice bed and close to St Louis but those are the only positives unfortunately. 😐

I get it it’s just ten dollars but this place keeps my deposit every time after saying I would get it back after my stay I filed a dispute first time and my bank fixed it but after going back to this place a couple times again i noticed that they are doing this still

Check in was a bit complicated. I’m assuming he wasn’t used to finding bookings from here. However he was super friendly. The room was a bit dated, but was very clean and comfortable.

key to room didn't work half time,they charged me for room again after I payed online,so payed $235 dollers second time.Never go back again.

Welcomed by the staff .very nice guy helpful and patient..room very clean and towels has a microwave and fridge a plus and quiet .there's also a gas station near property
