This resort was absolutely beautiful. The room was very well appointed and super comfortable. Staff extremely attentive. They had a golf cart accessible to you to take you from one place to the other so you dont have to walk it all. We went to the spa to have a massage and that was also great. If I had anything else to say about it is that perhaps they lack a little bit on the restaurant part. Not many options and the food was not great. Other than that, the hotel was great.

Spacious, comfortable, room with a great view. Good service throughout the hotel, bar the restaurant. The desk staff were particularly helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The suggestion that the hotel has a pool is at best disingenuous. There is no pool in the hotel grounds, but there is one a couple of hundred metres away, which can be used by hotel guests - and the public - at a cost of about £20 per day.

We had a great stay at 98 Acres Resort & Spa. The place is beautiful with a stunning view. The staff were very attentive, and we loved the varied and delicious breakfast. However, considering the price, we were a little disappointed with the room, which was very simple and rather small. The pool could also benefit from being heated

Relaxing 2 nights. The views are incredible. Easy access to Little Adams Peak. A short tuktuk to 9 arches bridge or town centre. Breakfast wonderful with lovely fruit and other good choices. Dinner good. The only negative is that the pool is in a sister resort club which requires entry fee.

Excellent resort with beautiful views, staff were very friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was that on a couple of occasions we had to wait for the buggy between 20 - 30 minutes. They do state that the maximum wait time is 20 minutes, I feel this should be no more than 10 minutes maximum, it is quite a walk from the villa to the main part of the hotel.

Overall a wonderful stay and would absolutely come again! Beautiful resort with absolutely stunning views and rooms. Spa is fairly priced and excellent. Location very near little Adam’s peak makes for a convenient sunrise walk. Staff all around very good and made the stay welcoming. Some things to be improved: While restaurant food is good, the prices are extortionate and we ended up eating majority of meals in local Ella for a fraction of the price. Due to the size of the resort, transport via buggy is often required and we found this service to be quite inconsistent (especially during periods of rain where everyone in the resort requires a buggy). While the hotel has umbrellas in the room, it would be nice to also get an umbrella if stuck in another location (such as the restaurant) during a downpour.

What a Beautiful hotel with wonderful views. Staff very friendly and helpful. Fantastic food. But beware Sri Lankan curries can be very hot. Ps the photos on the website do not do the hotel justice. Would highly recommend. Some of the rooms are a long way from the restaurant pool area , but the hotel provide an efficient golf buggy service, so not a problem.

98 Acres is a stunning resort. Incredible views from everywhere. Huge rooms with big terraces overlooking the mountains and tea plantation, lovely pool, great breakfast and very attentive staff. We had massages in the spa which was lovely and very peaceful. It's very easy to get a tuktuk into Ella, which is a really lovely place with loads to do. Definitely recommend the zip line and walk up to Little Adam's Peak. We also visited the Ravana Pool Club for a drink after the zip line which was also lovely.

This resort is an interesting concept. If we had known it was under construction we’d have made alternate statements though. The food at the restaurant was certainly needing improvement. The staff was very kind and courteous. The main pool was closed due to Reno’s and you were required to go next door.

Ressortet var under renovering (som vi ikke var blevet oplyst om ved booking) og der var derfor ikke adgang til hotellets egen restaurant, pool eller fitness. Dertil var der en del larm fra byggeriet, så derfor synes vi at prisen for opholdet var høj ift. ressortets aktuelle stand.

Had a great stay over Christmas eve and Christmas day at the resort. Property was impeccable with amazing views. Very well appointed rooms. Breakfast buffet spread was extensive, with fresh cut fruits sliced up on demand and hot items cooked upon order. Dileep our housekeeper also made sure that our rooms, our kids and us were well taken care of during our stay. The best hotel we stayed at through our 2 weeks in Sri Lanka. Highly recommended and definitely worth the long trip it took to get to Ella just for this stay!

We had booked a Premium Mountain view room for 3 nights as part of our trip around Sri Lanka. The hotel is located about a 5-10 minute drive outside of central Ella near the 9 Arch Bridge and Flying Ravina. Check in was quick and we were taking by golf buggy to our room. Rooms are large with a great view of Little Adams Peak. The rooms don't have air conditioning, but a ceiling fan above the bed which did help to keep the room cool - however we were only given 1 room card which meant each time we left the room the electric turned off and was slow to cool down again. The room was clean and had a very large bed, a very small wardrobe with a safe, a TV and sofa area and a desk area with plug sockets. Bathroom contained a toilet, large shower with a rainfall shower head which desperately needed descaling as was dribbling water and a smaller handheld shower and sink. Each room had a balcony to sit and enjoy the gorgeous view. Tea and instant coffee making facilities and fresh bottled water was provided each day and there is a large fridge/ chargeable minibar in the room. The doors and windows don't 100% fit so be prepared for some mosquitos (there was a net over our bed but it had a number of holes in it!) The hotel has a restaurant and bar on-site which offers a varied buffet breakfast (although some covers are needed as there were a lot of flies on the fruit and pastries) and and extensive dinner menu.

Too short a trip. Wonderful hotel that greets and sees you off with a blessing. Spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean room with fabulous views over little Adam's peak, which is easily accessed from here. Staff are wonderful. Short car or tuk tuk ride, or 20 min walk, to see the 9 arch bridge and arrival of the train. Ella town below is a buzzing young person's town, good places to eat or meet friends.

I loved the Nature around the property. My room had everything Ineeded. The bathroom was spacious and beautiful, my bed was amazingly comfortable. My balcony looking at the mountains, and nature very relaxing. Their breakfast buffet was A Their smoothies, and Cold ginger tea were the best. Their Dinner menu were very well detailed, and the food was delicious. I will go back, and stay at this location.

98 Acres Resort & Spa is an amazing place, with its beautiful location, fantastic staff taking care of you 24/7, and delicious food. The hotel and rooms were big and very clean, and the pool area is amazing with its view of the mountains. My family and I had a really great time, and we were able to relax and get in zen mode. I can highly recommend this place for everything it has!

A strange property - fantastic views and really nice rooms, but no air conditioning was a poor omission, meaning it was too hot in the rooms. 98 Acres is a confused resort ie half of the recreation area is an Ibiza style pool and bar area with a DJ and booming music, but its right next to the "Vip" club which we were allowed into, but there were no seats available so we ended up not using it. This made it a very expensive resort. There is a zipline and swing on the resort so you are sharing everything with the public. Views - are amazing. Ella is beautiful and 98 acres makes the most of it Spa - didnt use but walked past it - it looked so uninviting but may be better when the building work has finished . Food - menu was mixed but very good food overall. Breakfast was very nice with a good choice. Staff are amazing as they are Sri Lankan people who must be the nicest in the world We would\'nt return but we were pleased that we saw Ella

98 Acres is a stunning resort. Incredible views from everywhere. Huge rooms with big terraces overlooking the mountains and tea plantation, lovely pool, great breakfast and very attentive staff. We had massages in the spa which was lovely and very peaceful. It's very easy to get a tuktuk into Ella, which is a really lovely place with loads to do. Definitely recommend the zip line and walk up to Little Adam's Peak. We also visited the Ravana Pool Club for a drink after the zip line which was also lovely.

Too short a trip. Wonderful hotel that greets and sees you off with a blessing. Spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean room with fabulous views over little Adam's peak, which is easily accessed from here. Staff are wonderful. Short car or tuk tuk ride, or 20 min walk, to see the 9 arch bridge and arrival of the train. Ella town below is a buzzing young person's town, good places to eat or meet friends.

The view from the villas are breath taking. The room is basic with no air conditioning nor fresh air ventilation into the room at nights. The windows cannot be opened due to mosquitos. It is a steep to climb up to the restaurant and to the hikes and the 9 arches. Unsure if wheel chair accebility.

We had an incredible stay at 98 Acres Resort & Spa during our trip to Sri Lanka. The resort is surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery, offering stunning views of the lush green hills and tea plantations. The location is perfect for relaxation, yet close to popular attractions like Little Adam’s Peak and the Nine Arches Bridge. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed with natural materials, and had a private balcony where we could enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Waking up to the sunrise over the hills was truly unforgettable. The staff was exceptionally kind and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. The food at the restaurant was delicious, with a great selection of local and international dishes. If you’re looking for a luxurious yet nature-immersed experience in Ella, I highly recommend 98 Acres Resort & Spa. We would love to stay here again on our next visit to Sri Lanka!

This resort was absolutely beautiful. The room was very well appointed and super comfortable. Staff extremely attentive. They had a golf cart accessible to you to take you from one place to the other so you dont have to walk it all. We went to the spa to have a massage and that was also great. If I had anything else to say about it is that perhaps they lack a little bit on the restaurant part. Not many options and the food was not great. Other than that, the hotel was great.

Had a great stay over Christmas eve and Christmas day at the resort. Property was impeccable with amazing views. Very well appointed rooms. Breakfast buffet spread was extensive, with fresh cut fruits sliced up on demand and hot items cooked upon order. Dileep our housekeeper also made sure that our rooms, our kids and us were well taken care of during our stay. The best hotel we stayed at through our 2 weeks in Sri Lanka. Highly recommended and definitely worth the long trip it took to get to Ella just for this stay!

We had amazing stay here. Amazing staff. Indika (server) & Dewan (hiking guide) stood out for us, top notch service. Food is okay at the restaurant but they have good selection of the breakfast in the morning. I highly recommend this place. This resort is literally inside tea plantation and you have little Adam Rock view right from the hotel.

Excellent resort with beautiful views, staff were very friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was that on a couple of occasions we had to wait for the buggy between 20 - 30 minutes. They do state that the maximum wait time is 20 minutes, I feel this should be no more than 10 minutes maximum, it is quite a walk from the villa to the main part of the hotel.

Overall a wonderful stay and would absolutely come again! Beautiful resort with absolutely stunning views and rooms. Spa is fairly priced and excellent. Location very near little Adam’s peak makes for a convenient sunrise walk. Staff all around very good and made the stay welcoming. Some things to be improved: While restaurant food is good, the prices are extortionate and we ended up eating majority of meals in local Ella for a fraction of the price. Due to the size of the resort, transport via buggy is often required and we found this service to be quite inconsistent (especially during periods of rain where everyone in the resort requires a buggy). While the hotel has umbrellas in the room, it would be nice to also get an umbrella if stuck in another location (such as the restaurant) during a downpour.

Relaxing 2 nights. The views are incredible. Easy access to Little Adams Peak. A short tuktuk to 9 arches bridge or town centre. Breakfast wonderful with lovely fruit and other good choices. Dinner good. The only negative is that the pool is in a sister resort club which requires entry fee.

Magical location, on a hilly tea estate staring out at the view of the Gap, Little Adam's Peak, etc. It's impossible to capture the view in words/photos really but is quite stunning and hit us both in the evening (while lounging in the great pool) and then the next morning as we headed to breakfast. Also had a great dawn hike up Adam's Peak and an excellent yoga session (on the hotel's helipad!) that are worth doing if they are the sort of things that appeal to you!

Spacious, comfortable, room with a great view. Good service throughout the hotel, bar the restaurant. The desk staff were particularly helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The suggestion that the hotel has a pool is at best disingenuous. There is no pool in the hotel grounds, but there is one a couple of hundred metres away, which can be used by hotel guests - and the public - at a cost of about £20 per day.

We stayed a night on our ‘honeymoon tour’ of Sri Lanka and it was really amazing! The hotel is beautiful and the view incredible! The food was delicious and the staff were so kind and attentive. It was just the taste of luxury we were hoping for! We did a couples spa treatment - think it’ll be hard to ever beat that experience, a stunning view and beautiful bird song / nature sounds whilst having a heavenly massage! We’ll always have such lovely memories of our stay.

Definitely recommend the zip line and walk up to Little Adam's Peak. We also visited the Ravana Pool Club for a drink after the zip line which was also lovely.

The most amazing view to wake up to, i could sit on the balcony and stare at it for days. That’s really what you’re paying for, the service and food is good but the view is everything. We were a little surprised by our dinner bill for two nights at checking out, but then it is a luxury hotel.

Simply breathtaking hotel with rooms/views to die for. One of the best hotels in Sri Lanka. So pleased we managed to get rooms here. The staff and the food are also absolutely top notch. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Amazing place. Can’t fault a single thing. We stayed in a two bedroom suite and it was amazing. Staffs are very polite and helpful. Always ready to help with a buggy. Spa was amazing in a very scenic set up. Secluded yet just a few mins drive to main city centre. Pool area is nice but the pool is rather small. Breakfast is very good, made to order. Complimentary guided trek to little Adams peak just behind the resort. They gave discount vouchers for Ravana pool club and zip lining but we didn’t have time to try. Overall fully recommend.

It’s a real shame to feel a need to leave a negative review as this. I can honestly say that this is the first negative review we have ever left for a hotel so it is not something that we find joy in doing. We travel to similar calibre hotels every month and I can honestly say this was the worst we have ever been to and we wouldn’t recommend spending your money going here. The rooms are not sound proof at all, the shower water was cold for 2 days. We had a room on the second floor and the neighbours in the room next to us were screaming for hours (including their baby). The parents were arguing and the children were very loud too. We could also hear their tv. While we completely appreciate that babies cry, we wouldn’t expect to hear them as if they were in our room. We called reception to kindly ask if they could speak to next door. They said they did and that they would call us back shortly. They never called back. We contacted them again and they said they would investigate, again, we heard nothing back when they said they would return our call. We then went to dinner and spoke to somebody at the reception and they said to us that the neighbours balcony door was open and they asked them to close it. The next morning at 5am, it all started again. We gave it some time but then had to call reception as it was so loud. They apologised and said they would ask the manager to come and see us. The manager never came. for 1000USD a night the food is not up to standard.

This hotel is just amazing, the views from the rooms is second to none. The service is so good from the minute you arrive, they welcome you and make you feel at home. The beds are super comfortable & the amenities are great. Location is perfect as it’s right by little Adam peak and not far from the Ella town. One of our highlights was going up Adam peak & Ella rock with the in house naturalist - Gaya. He was absolutely brilliant and helpful in not only guiding us, but also showing us all the natural wildlife in the area along the way. He was so helpful and kind, and we would recommend anyone going for one of the excursions with him!

This was our second time staying at 98 Acres. The Resort and its facilities are wonderful but the staff at 98 Acres are absolutely amazing. They are always cheerful, welcoming, helpful and full of knowledge and pride both in their work and to guests. Thanks heaps. We hope to visit 98 Acres again!
