Basic room which was ok. Shower dripped constantly. No food avaliable

This is convenient for East Midlands airport and Donington Park circuit. Having parking available is great too, if it's available. It's a bar and the car park seems to be full a lot, so expect to have to park on the road. The rooms are basic, very basic. Rooms have thin walls and you hear people opening and closing doors as well as drunks who seem to roam. The bathrooms, like the rest, are basic. They're small and the shower is simply a single lever without separate control of flow and temperature. The step out of the shower is a foot off of the ground and unsafe getting out with wet feet. No toiletries except a small round of soap is provided. There's nowhere to hang or place anything either. The bedroom drawers are dirty, and the quilt barely covers the top of the bed, so being covered is a skill. Pillows are from the last decade. Once again facilities you'd expect are absent, such as teaspoons. Access is via an unlit fire escape stairs which can be dangerous in the dark. I've seen reviews giving 10/10, which I have to question the authenticity of, as the only way you could rate this place a 10 is if you were being houses here by the council having been homeless for years beforehand.

The lady who showed me the room was really friendly, great customer service thank you. It was such a shame the room wasn’t clean, the walls were thin & having to leave in the morning via the fire escape because the pub wasn’t open was lethal in my work heels 😂 I’ve stayed in a lot of different rooms over the years but I’m really sorry I wouldn’t recommend this one until the mould around the windows has been removed & the room & bathroom has a deep clean (maybe even a lick of paint), it would make a huge difference.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the parking is handy and the self access in and out is convenient. However, there were some bad points: 1) The ceiling and wall above the shower was mouldy. 2) The customers from the pub below were often right outside the window, and were very loud until around 2315, after the pub had shut and it was time for them to go. 3) The overbed lamp was broken. 4) The carpet and wallpaper were very old, and the wall by the bed was superficially damaged. 5) No shower gel or shampoo provided. A small bar of soap was provided though. 6) There is a kettle, but no microwave or mini fridge. In summary: Cheap and clean. No thrills, no spills. Ideal for a one night stay, however wouldn't recommend for longer.

Comfortable bed, convenient parking

Not much to like about this so called hotel. Linited parking. Shower and how it was operated is something out of the Arc. Tv was on top of the wardrobe and the furthest you could get away from my bed. Toiletries were virtually non exsistent, apart from a small bar of soap. The sink was as big as my hand. Avoid staying there on Saturday, as you will not get much sleep, as it was noisy from an event, either downstairs or next door.

Room was adequate for price, a VAT reciept was unavailable for the room. The shower controls were interesting. Wifi was good. Room was clean. Parking is cramped and i was lucky to get a spot to park.

The room was clean tidy and plenty of space the staff were polite friendly i had everything i needed for the weekend plus nice beer in the pub. No food on site but the local food places are 2 minutes away.

Room was claustrophobic, no food available, no staff available until the bar opens which is a separate business but handles the room allocations,

The room seemed nice to begin with had an ensuite attached. Upon checking in I was told I was unable to have a late check-out as I had to prebook this, I've never come across this before. I went out for the afternoon/evening and got back to the room at about 11pm. There was loud talking in the bar which made sleep impossible until it calmed down at 00:30. When I got back to the room I noticed a smell which hadn't been there earlier and I thought it was the bathroom, the smell got stronger and when I woke in the morning it was overwhelming. The smell in question was vomit. Whoever stayed in my room the night before must have had a great night in the pub. I couldnt see any signs where the smell was coming from but I wish the cleaners had done a better job at cleaning up. The shower was very basic but gave out a perfect temperature which was a welcome relief in morning. The tv had all freeview channels and worked as you'd expect. There was wifi but there was no information on what the password was so I couldn't connect. Overall this is a classic case of you get what you pay for. I won't be staying there again but if you're looking for a cheap stay this could be the place for you.

I stayed at the Coach House to break up a long journey. The single room was nice and clean and just right for what I wanted. It is close to the flight path but I didn't hear any planes after 9.30ish. It is great value for money and the girl who checked me in was nice and friendly. It's also just off the motorway so perfect for a pit stop.

I entered my room to find a pile of cut toe nails next to the bed. The landlady moved me swiftly but the next room wasn’t much cleaner and there was somebody in the house next door screaming and shouting at 4am the next morning. Luckily it was only for 1 night.

Heater didn't work. Very strange smell in the room - it was like a very weird strong musty/sweet smell. Toilet wasn't even bolted to the floor! Mattress felt very lumpy.

Clean tidy modern room , Fancy modern shower but could not regulate it too hot then frozen

Fairly decent for the price of rooms. Showering can be tricky as the hot/cold stream is via a single handle - its very much trial and error. Top floor is private residency and could benefit from new or thicker carpets. You hear all footfalls, stomping around and conversations. Still ideal for short work related trips.

Small pub,decent car park, lots of rooms, mine was single ,basic compact, bit noisy from people above, but suitable for 1 night stop over. Village has 2 chinese take away and 2 indian restaurants...

These rooms are relatively cheap but otherwise dire. Good parking & close to the airport. Otherwise awful, very cold room and rubbish bathroom. Bed was comfortable and easy access for getting in and leaving. We wouldn’t book it again.

The staff is lovely and accommodating. The property, however, not great, but I guess you get what you pay for. I wasn’t looking for anything fancy as I only needed to stay there for a few hours before my flight so I wanted something cheap. I didn’t have high expectations considering the price, but it wasn’t great. Everything is so old and has a funny smell; you can hear what’s happening in other rooms like the toilet flush or the TV, not great when you’re trying to get some sleep. It is in big need of a refurbishment. On the other side, the property has a car park - Lee (property owner) was very nice and allowed me to leave my car there for the day, my return flight being on the same day. The lady at the bar/reception was very nice and polite.

Basic small room at the back of the pub, bed was comfy, though the duvet felt a little damp. reasonable for the £42 price in my eyes. none of the photos was the room I stayed in. Its on the take off route for the airport, but that didnt stop me sleeping.

What I think the most important thing is to note, this is a coach house, a guest house, not a chain hotel so expectations must be a bit different. Not only do you pay a lot less, but as a result you are going to get a lot less, so you must expect a lot less. That said the room itself was lovely, it looked newly refurbished and very very well presented. Personally as a slightly more heavier set gentleman, I found the mattress a little bit too thin and the chairs quite uncomfortable after a while sitting at the small dresser to do some work, but that was probably a personal preference. I enjoyed the appearance of the room as I said, but the temperature was a little bit of a problem, the room didn’t stay warm for long and the heating device in the room seemed to switch off at random intervals and not want to turn back on very soon after. With a very small bathroom, and the room overall really only suited for short term occupancy I would say it did the job for an overnight stay as the journey continued, as a coach room would do. However, I couldn’t recommend it for a longer stay. But for a quick overnight halt, good value for money and place to put your head. Just bring a hot water bottle!

Perfect stop for a Uni Open Day at Sutton Bonington! Very comfortable room, and beds. Very friendly and helpful staff (who found me a hairdryer which I had forgotten) It's not a modern Travelodge type of room, but was absolutely perfect for us. Numerous takeaways available around the corner. We would def stay here again!

Massive thank you to the owner for allowing me a late check out so I could get ready in the room for a 1pm a wedding nearby!

Fantastic Staff with a Warm Welcome. Clean, Tidy & the bed was Very Comfortable. With Just a Short walk to Local Bus Stops with Bus Connections to Derby, Loughborough, Leicester & East Midlands Airport. Highly recommended & Definitely would Recommend.

We booked a room here as we had an early flight from East Midlands. The room itself was ok, clean and comfortable, cheap and cheerful. We wanted an early night but the noise from the bar downstairs kept us awake until quite late. Just as I fell asleep there was loud banging on the floor of the room above which woke me up. As all the guest rooms are on one floor I can only assume this was the owner or live in staff. This happened two or three times, maybe I was snoring and this upset them? Then at 2.00am we were awoken by an almighty argument going on in the corridor outside our room. It sounded as if another guest had had difficulty getting into their room. We were shocked and upset by the foul language and threats being shouted by the owner, telling the guest that "they had better not still be here when they get up". We were unable to get back to sleep after this and were glad to leave a few hours later. I've never encountered such unprofessional behaviour before and would never use this place again.

It is very convenient for the M1 and easy to find and park. The hotel staff were great but I was ignored by a member of the bar staff once. Great for a one night stay and low cost.

I am returning guest. Easy access and connection makes is the perfect place for my annual visit. I look forward visiting again.

Comfortable basic room in a very friendly pub ideal for a night stop before going to the airport. Too was en- suit with kettle, and tv. Perfect for how much it cost.

Stayed here to attend a party at Kegworth Village Hall - which was close. It’s not expensive and quite basic. No breakfast and nothing on the village on a Sunday. So bring your own.

Very accommodating - was able to check in an hour early and Lee was very helpful. A little noisy at night due to the pub but overall would recommended
