Clean room with a beautiful view on the lake. Room has all comforts, clean bed and linens. Temperature control. Microwave, Coffee kettel and all requirements are provided. Room and washroom have good power outlets. It was a very comfortable stay. The restaurant was closed, as it was Thanksgiving weekend. The service and check-in was good. We were provided information regarding restaurant and food joints which were open and they were not too far from the Inn. Sorry, this app does not allow to alter the star, hence put average as I did not want to be rude. But, the menu is great and I am sure the food it delicious. He owner/ manager even mentioned the food items, and wished the restaurant was open. We checked out early and ate at a near by Sunset Beach & family restaurant. We were so greatful for this information. The breakfast was awesome, delicious with great service. Reverting back to Motel, this location is beautiful, with a small beach. This hotel is an old building, but the bed was comfortable and everything worked in it. It was clean & comfy. It is just off the hwy a bit. Easy to get to. Restaurant on sight with great food. The very best part was the view!!! The motel is on a bay and the sunset was gorgeous!! The motel windows face the water! Nothing beats it!

Had everything we really needed. Very nice view from the room and a place to sit along the water. Restaurant had an interesting selection and not the best service but not the worst. Check in was very quick

Pros: -View was very nice. Cons: -Road was blocked by construction -Check-in at restaurant smelled like a rotting corpse -No Wifi -Very thin walls -Room stunk of strong mold, old man funk, & feet -A/C was black inside with mold -Windows were ancient and wont stay open -Whole room was so filthy and cheap -Bathroom was disgusting -Coffee pot was dirty and old -Coffee pouches looked very old/expired -Toiletries offered looked second hand mismatched -Towels were dirty, old, and tattered -Sheets and pillows had stains and.. dirt? -Literally nowhere to go with road blocked so if you want to go outside to escape the filth and stench, you only get hot asphalt stink and loud drunk people everywhere, also complaining about the rooms. We stayed at this "resort" just one night, and will not be retirning every again.

This is clearly an older property but my room was clean, everything worked, checkin was easy & efficient. I love parking right outside my door, and I felt completely safe. Mostly, I enjoyed walking around the lakefront and watching a gorgeous sunset—perfect after a long day of driving.

The standard room was dirty. The shower tiles were full of mold. The bathroom tap leaked badly. There were stains on the carpet and many spiders in room. The food in the dining room was good.

Thoroughly enjoyed my one night stay. The hotel room was clean. Beds were comfy and the view was beautiful. Also ate dinner at the restaurant and the food was awesome.!

The motel has a lovely view of the lake and that is the only nice thing about the spot. The rooms are very outdated. Stayed 2 nights at $160 a night. For that cost I would expect one of the renovated rooms. Needed help with the lock and door upon arrival as the door was stuck. Could hear the neighbour guy snoring next door, anyone next to you walks around the floor vibrates. The walls shake whenever someone slams their door. Bright car lights shine into the rooms at 5-6am when all the construction workers are leaving. Carpet is disgusting, bring slippers!!! Beds are old and hard. The shower was yellow and rusty and stained. Dead bugs in the bathroom ceiling and around the light. I will never return to this motel and I would not recommend it to others, which is unfortunate as the lake view is lovely. For $160 a night, there is no reason the rooms should not all be updated by now. It was built in 1964 and has had very little updating since.

This review is difficult because of the extreme difference between the view and the hotel. The hotel is dated, no electrical outlets next to the bed, no blackout curtains, old carpet. But the location and view are spectacular and the price is low. If they renovated this hotel it could be a goldmine.

Stayed overnight in Thessalon on a road trip across Canada. The view from the hotel was beautiful of Lake Huron. Dining options were extremely limited, the room was very small, beds were uncomfortable, the room was not very clean and we were uncomfortable leaving anything in our car due to the clientele. Would pass this by.

The room was clean and smelled nice, basic renovation were done to the walls but mudding of the dry wall was very visible and not sanded down or painted over. Back window and bathroom window looks like original wooden windows from many years ago. Bath tub and back splash is very dated. Highway is noticeably noisy, specifically when transports go by. Beach needs to be raked and cleaned of natural debris especially since an extra $20 is charged for beach use and cleaning. Heater very dated in the bathroom and heater in main room noisy with creaking and cracking noise when heater is running.

Motel is convenient , the rooms are clean but the AC doesn't work and the room smells damp as well as the carpets when you're walking on them. Great for 1 night stop after driving a long day.

Our hosts were gracious in our check in, meals and inquiring about our needs during our stay. We are pretty self sufficient so didn't need a lot of extras when travelling but everything for a stay is covered. Cable TV not Roku TV so Playoffs can be watched was a plus. The beds were super comfy. Small fridge but served our needs (no ice box). Ice can be collected at the main building during open hours. The views are wonderful with amazing sunsets and watching a bear across the shore lumber along. As for the food - probably the best Butter Chicken we have had. Service is delightful and we discovered a new Youtube channel for some fun Middle Age Dad - Garage Bands. Its old school moteling but that is exactly how we like it.

Stayed here for work when passing through. The staff were extremely nice and welcoming, the restaurant had a good selection and the burger I had was top notch. Very well kept property, beautiful view of the lake. The room it self was very clean and quiet, but it was quite dated. Wifi was a bit too slow to be useful for me. Bottom line, this is a clean quiet place to stay with good food, amazing view and very affordable rates, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Very well kept property, beautiful view of the lake. The room it self was very clean and quiet, but it was quite dated. Wifi was a bit too slow to be useful for me. Bottom line, this is a clean quiet place to stay with good food, amazing view and very affordable rates, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Upon check in the man at office charged me $20 for my wifes fully registered and papered service dog, i told him it was illegal to charge for a certified service dog and he said he didn't care, the lady chwcking behind me also spoke up and told the reception man it was not legal to charge for service animals, he again said he didn't care. We were tired from driving all day so i paid him and got our room. Besides that, the wifi didn't work, the room was dirty, the shower backed up with dirty water. We will never stay there again. Disgusting. Steve

Clean room with a beautiful view on the lake. Room has all comforts, clean bed and linens. Temperature control. Microwave, Coffee kettel and all requirements are provided. Room and washroom have good power outlets. It was a very comfortable stay. The restaurant was closed, as it was Thanksgiving weekend. The service and check-in was good. We were provided information regarding restaurant and food joints which were open and they were not too far from the Inn. Sorry, this app does not allow to alter the star, hence put average as I did not want to be rude. But, the menu is great and I am sure the food it delicious. He owner/ manager even mentioned the food items, and wished the restaurant was open. We checked out early and ate at a near by Sunset Beach & family restaurant. We were so greatful for this information. The breakfast was awesome, delicious with great service. Reverting back to Motel, this location is beautiful, with a small beach. Picnic tables and chairs to enjoy the spectacular view of Lake Huron and the little islands. We were there to enjoy Fall, and were blessed with nature's full glory. A huge disappointment. We've come multiple times over the last 25 years. The reception was rude and impatient. On arrival to our room the lights were not functional. Carpet stained, bathroom fixtures ummaintained, tub stained, tiles falling off. Tiny flies everywhere. If we hadn't driven 13 hrs that day we would have left.

This is clearly an older property but my room was clean, everything worked, checkin was easy & efficient. I love parking right outside my door, and I felt completely safe. Mostly, I enjoyed walking around the lakefront and watching a gorgeous sunset—perfect after a long day of driving.

As a property along the North of Superior route, this was really pretty good! The view made it much nicer than other places we have stayed and I would pick this location again. The nightly fee seemed kind of high, but maybe it was just because if the season. There was a restaurant on site that looked decent and well patronized.

This hotel is an old building, but the bed was comfortable and everything worked in it. It was clean & comfy. It is just off the hwy a bit. Easy to get to. Restaurant on sight with great food. The very best part was the view!!! The motel is on a bay and the sunset was gorgeous!! The motel windows face the water! Nothing beats it!

It was an older but adequate facility. The bathroom still had sink/fixtures from the 1970's but the shower was good. Being right on the beach was excellent; hearing loons right out your window is always a plus! Add to that, you can have a swim after a long day's drive - I would definitely stay there again. The dinner meal was poor; we ordered Indian food and it was sub-standard. No real flavor and virtually no spices. No selection of wine - choose red or white. Restaurant prices were high for the quality of food and service received.

Can't beat the view over the lake at sunset. Room was clean and comfortable although I noticed an odd slightly chemical smell upon entry, but I'm pretty sensitive to smells and it wasn't noticeable after a short while, maybe just cleaning products.

Our room was renovated, so that was nice. A very lovely view of the water! And a nice area to take the dog. A few minor things like broken screens (so we couldn't open the windows), loud bathroom fan, and broken picnic table in the yard made it look a bit rough. The person at the desk when we checked in kept yelling at the staff. He seemed unhappy.
