On the positive side, we were well received and assisted. Breakfast was very good and there was parking on site. It was a basic room and quite small and old fashioned but had the amenities required in the en suite. There was no air conditioning and the room was stuffy even though the window opened. It is a bit away from the centre of Epernay. At the price point, I guess it’s what you have to expect. Very courteous and helpful host, I must stress.

Very basic, broken window, no effective night blackout, a mistake to stay here. Counted down the hours through the night until I could leave. Friend in adjoining room reported finding a ‘long black hair’ in his bed.
