There was an opened milk in the drawer and no milk in the room for us. There was no remote control for the air con so we spent a hot and uncomfortable night. Very disappointed.

Soap dispenser didn't work and there was nowhere (shelf etc.) to put soap, shampoo, conditioner in the shower except the floor. An information booklet for the area would be nice in the room. The outside stairs and balcony could do with a good scrub.

The hotel staff and service in the pub was good. Food was terrible, and the rooms , stairwell and surrounds were filthy. Complimentary tea and coffee, but no cups. Such a shame.

We stayed one night at this property and if it had of been longer I would have checked out and went elsewhere. The sheets on the bed were stained , there was dirt/grit all through the sheets and the bottom sheet had what looked like a blood stain. By the time we got back to our room the hotel/motel was closed and no staff around. The room had dirt in the window tracks and spider webs in the corner of the ceilings. The next morning we went to have a shower had no hot water. As we were leaving before the main hotel/motel opened, again we couldn’t speak to any staff. I have since sent 2 messages and called the establishment and have heard nothing back. Considering how much we paid for this room, we should be offered a full refund but as my messages have been ignored I highly doubt this will happen.

the room was not like the add photo showed. the blanket in the cupboard had mold on it or dust. The shelf above the microwave has a huge amount of thick dust on it. The toaster in the draw i would throw away not good.

The staff are wonderful, clearly trying to make the best of what they have to work with. The bed was clean. The rest was not great. The common access areas to the rooms need a good pressure clean. They are filthy. Having said that, inside the pub part was clean and tidy. The menu isn’t extensive, but what food we had was okay. Half a lettuce leaf and maybe a wedge of tomato (?????) might have complimented the fish and chips - it needed all the help it could get…. We stayed there a few years ago and it was great. Clearly who ever owns it now has no idea what they’re doing. Such a shame. I can’t paise the staff enough though. They were terrific.

Walked in to staff member on his phone, took 5 minutes to register I was there. Couldn't work out how to assign our room key. Requested payment even though already paid. Room was ok but poorly cleaned - found a frozen meal in the fridge & an extra card from the previous occupants

The first room we were booked into, had blinds that did not close at all. They put us into another room that was dirty and the toilet did not flush at all. The third room they moved us too, already had another person in it. We ended up asking for our money back and there was no apologies or anything from the Manager.

Got there late and it was dead quiet but the people behind the bar checked me in and they were really lovely and helpful. The room was great!! Very comfy and clean bed!! It's driving distance to a few places like Maccas and KFC, which was all that was open. Usually over the road the Bowlo has a great meal but was closed. Anyhow the room was great and had a terrific sleep. Would stay there again.

I was very surprised at how nice and comfy it was! It was clean with all you need for a couple of nights stay. My only issue was that nobody told guests that the reception at the pub was closed on Monday being a public holiday! Nowhere to leave my card and didn’t get my $10 deposit fee back. Did find a lady belonging to the pub at 10:15 who took mine and another guests cards. So other than that it was a great stay!

I paid for a room that was not available, the was offered a room in Cessnock. Piss poor to be honest, ruined my night and plans. Now I have to wait 3 days to be reimbursed for someone else’s poor management. The only reason I havnt gone to social media with this matter is that I don’t have my money back. I will not use your company or the station accommodation in any shape or form in future. Mind you I was ready to book in at the time I was contacted by your sub contractor.

It's driving distance to a few places like Maccas and KFC, which was all that was open. Usually over the road the Bowlo has a great meal but was closed. Anyhow the room was great and had a terrific sleep. Would stay there again.

Our original accommodation in Newcastle was cancelled and we needed accommodation ASAP!! We managed to get 2 rooms at the Station Hotel and now we are so glad we stayed. Rooms were modern and very clean. Beds were comfortable. Station Hotel bistro meals are large and delicious and it is also located an easy stroll from the Kurri Kurri Bowling Club.

This motel is set at four starts, which is completely inaccurate. I would give this motel a 2.5 stars at the highest. It is very misleading that the motel sells itself as four stars. The cleanliness and service were poor. The television screen had technical issues and the microwave and air conditioner were very old. The bathroom was also not clean. The motel is in a very remote and inconvenient location.
