Fabulous motel. Literally the cleanest room I\'ve ever stayed in. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding and pillows were comfy, clean, unique, and cozy. They even gave me a "pet blanket" to put down so my dog didn\'t make a mess. Great location for walking the dog as well. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again if I\'m back in Missoula.

Bubbly and helpful Desk Person. Comfortable bed. Provided a blanket for my dog's comfort. No tissues. Unusual that TP unrolls down the wall. Parking availability limited. Heater/AC very loud so that TV is drowned out.

Really nice place to stay for one night, is walking distance from so many places. We went to 3 bars were so much fun. Front desk was super nice with us because we got there so late from our flight and they have it a nice room with a front parking . Thank you !!

I have traveled to Missoula every summer since 2102. I have seen this hotel undergo renovations and have noticed the improved landscaping, etc. When we needed an overnight hotel this trip, I was very excited about staying here. The rooms are just right -- small, but modern and very clean. No complaints there. They even provided a blanket for our little Corgi to sleep on. However, they do not have enough parking places for each room, and when we returned at about 9:00 p.m., we had to park on the street. The city of Missoula has strict parking policies, including that a vehicle cannot block the sidewark. A very large Penske van was blocking the sidewalk and taking up more than one space. When I pointed that out, the clerk said they could not be asked to move. She also told us a place we had parked on Washington was not allowed, because it was private property. Not true. Very frustrating -- too frustrating for us to return.

Happy I was on second floor but watch out for large stairs no elevator. Check for toilet paper when you arrive I got stuck at 2 am with no TP.

Like most motels, this room was compact, but had a couple of nice chairs and a small table along with the comfy bed. Super clean and no strong fragrance which I appreciated. The lighting is great in the bathroom and the shower was large and really nicely updated...no bathtub. Hot water on demand an extra bonus. The hospitality was top notch and the location perfect, close to downtown, the University, hiking and free transit.

Keisha was very friendly! Got there in dk and didnt feel comfortable walking our dog on city streets but saw a nearby field the next day. Would have preferred not to have to walk stairs with dog and I have a bad knee. Still place was comfy and clean once we got in rm.

The room was very dirty. We spilled a little water on the floor and used a towel to wipe it up. The towel turned black…as you can see from the picture. I kindly mentioned it to the front desk clerk on checking out. He didn’t seem to care. Breakfast was typical. Not as much as you see at other Super 8’s.

Great motel! Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very clean with comfy bed and pillows. The basic queen room was spacious with microwave, fridge, water kettle, and desk. I appreciated the organic coffee and quality hand soap and bath items. Several restaurants are a short walk away and Albertson's grocery store is a 9 minute walk away. Highly recommend a stay here.

From the outside it looks like a 1950s roadside motel but the room was completely remodeled with a walk in shower. Good quiet AC and a small refrigerator and water heating pot. I'd stay here again

Clean, updated room. Excellent stay but for the heater. Heat was fine, but there was no way to put on the fan full time so was sort of annoying as the heat and fan coming on and off all night made it difficult to fall asleep. Would have been great if the fan ran even at low speed all the time.

The City Motel is an older motel updated. It is very clean but compact. Air conditioner loud and runs all the time. Bars and eateries are in walking distance, a couple blocks away. Bed very comfortable.

Clean and the staff were nice but this is NOT a good spot for light sleepers. There was a train that went by every 10 minutes late into the night. The curtains do not black out. The doors need a good slam to shut properly so other guests would distrupt us returning to their rooms late.

Room (29) was great. But we left our phone charger so we called since note on door said to. Man on other end was rude and nasty . Said No your weren’t in 29 !!! Cause that’s permanent residence. Well sir not true . He then yelled and hung up on us. Housekeeper can verify it was in the room (29)….

The property managers were SO kind and helpful. When they saw we were staying for four nights, they upgraded us to a King room. Later we needed to add a night, and we just called the front desk -- in literally 10 seconds they made the adjustment and all was well. A great property run by really cool people in the heart of Missoula. Highly recommend.

In the center of Missoula, right up against U.Montana, easy walk to the riverfront, shopping and dining. Our room was a little smaller than you get in the motel chains, but it was clean, quiet and comfortable. Just what we needed for a one-night visit.

Minor problem...couldn't get cold water to turn off after my shower(unit 29). Bigger problem...coffee. Instant only and no real hot water for it IN ROOM. ...They did have nice K-cup etc. in lobby/desk but it opened pretty late for morning coffee.

even though i was upstairs facing broadway -- busy during the day but things quiet down at night-- walking distance to campus over the river... walking to near by restaurants- had hot water kettle / microwave and refrig... beds clean and comfortable would stay again... breakfast is not included....

Don't judge a book by its cover. The exterior and immediate area surrounding is a little dingy but the staff was great and the room was updated and very clean. Beds were comfy and the bathroom was also clean and nice. Close to UM and lots of dining options nearby.

Older motel that has been updated nicely. Well-situated for downtown walking and for river walks. Some reviewers have mentioned train noise. I did not hear any, but yes, it's not far to the railroad tracks. You can make instant coffee in the room or use pods in the lobby, where there are cereal bars. I'll stay here again. Good place, good price.
