Stayed Sunday to Wednesday as a quick family getaway. Room was not ready at 4 but we went down the street to the Andrea for a quick meal and by the time we got back it was ready. Front desk staff was very friendly and lobby was clean and cutely decorated. We had a pool view room on the second floor. No elevator but stairs were not an issue for us. Room was clean and built in closet gave a nice amount of storage space. Bathroom was a decent size and very clean. Everything looked newly remodeled except light switches. Would recommend adding more hanging hooks around room or bathroom for towels etc. hotel is in a great spot if you like it a little quieter, private beach area for guests was great and it was only a short walk to busier part of strip. Pool was clean and heated. Our only complaint is that rooms are not attended at all so garbage was not removed and amenities like toilet paper was not refilled. Had to go to front desk to request more. Also outdoor area outside of room was not maintained daily, would not have been a big issues but the family in the room next to us would leave clothes, food, trash, bottles on the ground making the area look less than appealing. Overall nothing fancy but was perfect for a short getaway for our family of four.

Beautiful Location right on the water. We did not know that many of the rooms Require steps on several levels and being seniors, had to carry our luggage up 4 sets of stairs and no elevator. Other then that, the place was Lovely and the pool delightful.

Ocean view was amazing !! Didn’t like that there wasn’t a bath room in pool area or beach area or outside lounge area. Need more bathroom facilities not just one for such a large facility!!!!!

Everything you need is in one place, don’t have to leave the property, you have the beach, pool and restaurant right there. Can’t wait to return.

We really enjoyed Pleasant View Inn. The facilities were very clean, the ocean front room was amazing. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The only cons and definitely not deal breakers were very low shower pressure and the Inn parking was not monitored and many beach goers were parking there.

Love that the hotel is right on the beach and had beach front rooms. Parking was difficult to find, once we found a place to park we didn’t move our car for fear of not being able to find parking again. Room is a little dated, could have been cleaner and better maintained. No housekeeping services are provided unless you call and request. Could have provided better service and cleaner rooms for the amount they charge for small rooms. You’re paying for beach view and location which we knew when we booked. Maggie’s gift store was great. Owner was very friendly and offered some really cute clothing, jewelry, etc. The hotel charges a resort fee which this hotel in my opinion isn’t a resort and not much different than the other beach hotels in the area which don’t charge the resort fee.

Pleasant surprise! Great location and view was amazing. Room is tiny but clean, updated & comfy bed. Pool is meh, don’t go for that… basically in the parking lot with a chain link fence. It’s very small & of course tons of kids - so perfect if that’s why’s you want. Very overpriced but paying for location. Restaurant was decent too, only had dinner. I do think for 400- $500 / night in the summer they can upgrade their cheap plastic lawn chairs to nicer more comfortable ones and even the table & chairs at the restaurant are cheap plastic. It would make a ton of difference. Maybe some more flowers around the property and water the lawn a bit so it’s not dead looking at those prices. People want to look at pretty things.

The location is unbeatable. Absolutely stunning right alongside Misquamicut beach. The amenities seemed great too -- the pool looked nice, there was a lovely entryway area, and it appeared that there was some breakfast and coffee available. The staff were also super friendly. The only downside was the room itself. It smelled musty and the carpet was stained. If there are better rooms to stay in I'd highly recommend this location with an ocean view. If the other rooms are like ours then I couldn't recommend it unless room cleanliness is a low priority.

Room looked clean but I found a binky when I dropped something near the bed. Rug had quite a few stains very old. Ocean view room comfortable but not enough chaise lounge chairs people left towels on them overnight so they could save them.Glad we had a balcony otherwise no outside seating. Didn’t like that, trash outside not picked up first thing in the am so when you go outside early trash from the night before still there didn’t see any barrels outside. Overall the view made up for it!

We have been coming here for many years. It just seems dirtier and dirtier every year we go. This year may have been the last time. For the money spent you can go to Newport.

carpet in the room is very dirty for the price

Extremely small room that had terrible musty odor. Bed very uncomfortable. Bins for clothing rather than dresser. Only 2 plastic hangars provided. Ran out of pool towels and room towels. Pool was cloudy and not heated like claim. Check in person chewed gum the entire time and had us fill out questionnaire that was filled out ahead of time. Restaurant food was not to our liking. Overpriced for what was offered but did have nice view of water.

The tiny room was not worth the price and additional “destination fee”. It’s in a good location and restaurant and bar area are nice as well as out door area and pool. The room was musty including sheets (stain on the bedspread). The carpet in the room was disgusting and soggy and should be ripped out. Very outdated however, the bathroom has been updated nicely. Too bad there was low water pressure in the shower. For a couple of nights it’s acceptable but too expensive.

The hotel was very dirty! My room smelled of mildew and mold. I did not have hot water and the toilet didn't flush properly. I feel the place was very understaffed.

The staff at the hotel are nice. The view from our room was pretty. The hotel itself needs an update or at least some maintenance. The balcony was wood and needed to be repaired and painted. The privacy curtains did not close . I told the front desk and they said they would send someone but ,I have no idea if they ever did. No one followed up with me and the curtains were suck the 3 days we were there. The sheets and beds were clean but not very comfortable.The room itself had dust in every corner and the air conditioning wall unit was dirty and you could see there was no insulation around the unit. There are no phones in the rooms and the front desk never offered a number to call if you needed to get I touch with them. Unfortunately this was supposed to be a relaxing getaway and it really wasn’t.

When I checked in I wasn’t told I needed to request housekeeping so the next afternoon when I got back to my room and nothing was done I inquired about housekeeping and that’s when I was told—front desk not helpful and that included the manager Coffee one day was full of grinds and next day was as light as tea The carpet on stairs and other floors was in need of being replaced extremely dirty and stained The corridors to the rooms didn’t appear to be swept or vacuumed at all. Same sand pebbles small wrappers etc there the days we were there Parking was a challenge-what does someone do if no spots available? I’m not saying I wouldn’t stay again just that some improvements should be considered

We were in room 201 which is above the kitchen and there was loud banging all night until around 11:30 it was impossible to sleep as the floor would literally shake

Room was down graded from Expedia booking. First floor is very noisy at 6 am with kids running the halls. Staff said to book the 2nd floor next time. Excellent location! For proximity to the beach the hotel was excellent.

Location wise the you can’t get any better or any closer to the beach. You can feel the ocean on your face when standing on the balcony. BUT…. The room was VERY small. Pretty much the size of a big walk in closet. The balcony was VERY small as well. Me and my wife had to climb over each other and the 2 chairs on the balcony because there was no room to even move them. The carpet was very old and in need of upgrade probably 5 years ago. Sand all over the hallways because there is no place to rinse off your feet after the beach. Staff was very nice. Restaurant and bar were cool. The hotel was definitely overprice for what your getting.

Let me start with the good: the location is excellent! Our ocean view room was everything we wanted: just a few feet from the beach, almost unobstructed view in all directions and sounds of waves strong and close. This is the main reason for my four star rating. Without it, it would probably be 2.5. In out three night stay we did not see a single member of the housekeeping staff. We were told by the front desk upon check in that the room will not be cleaned unless we request it. That’s fine. But apparently, common areas are not being cleaned either: there is sand and dust everywhere and it was undisturbed during our stay. One of the stairs was missing its protective rubber thread - we saw it leaned in the corner of the stairway. It stayed there the entire stay. The stairs themselves are pretty short so rubber thread seems like a basic necessity not to accidentally slip. The staff at the front desk never acknowledged any guests unless addressed to directly. No Hellos or How Are you? Or Great day, today. I appreciate to be left alone but come on - for the amount of money they charge, basic customer service should be included in the price. As far as a room, it was a basic tiny room with deformed metal hangers from the dry cleaner to hang your clothes. Can they not afford some plastic hangers from literally any discount store? They cost pennies. Also, free advice - turn the bed along a longer wall, and both people will have the room to walk around the bed and see the ocean!

We had an ocean front room with a balcony. We could hear the waves crashing from our beds. It was amazing. A big beautiful room with a pretty good size mini fridge & they delivered a microwave. My only complaint was no coffee maker in the room & we were kinda far from the main lobby, BUT we were really close to the water!

We had a King beachfront room. The view was superb. But the room was so small. I mean you couldn't comfortably move through it. It did not match the photos on line. When we asked about a room change we were told there were no other king ocean rooms available during our five night stay. The bathroom was also very small, with just a pedastal sink. No shelving or table or area around the sink to put your toothbrushes or toiletries. It was so cramped. There was not a coffee maker in the room, which was very unexpected. I can't remember the last time we didn’t have in room coffee service! Instead you had to trudge down to the lobby to get your coffee in the morning. The patio fit two chairs and a table, but you had to move the chairs and table around to get onto the patio and into a chair. What wasn't disappointing was the fantastic beach. It wasn't exclusive to the hotel, but it was awesome! No beach chairs or umbrellas are provided or available for rent, but we brought our own. The hotel has a decent sized pool at the front of the facility. We ate at the restaurant on site twice. The food was good and the service was excellent. Overall, it was very disappointing for $450 a night.

Balcony was very small and when you sit in the chairs, all you see is a bar. At least put bistro type chairs so we can the ocean... The whole point to an oceanfront room, is to be able to see it! Room was also very small, shower barely large enough for one small person. Hotel was nice aside from the maze of hallways to get anywhere, but not worth the price and there is no area for smokers to go to. We will not go back.

The inn is in a great location. Front desk was not very helpful or friendly but got the job done. Oceanview king bed room was small but clean and had everything you needed. So close to the ocean, you feel like you can open your balcony and step into it! A little pricey but would stay again!

Rooms and hotel, in general, can use some upgrading. Not a quiet place. A lot of room noise from both downstairs and neighbors. Not worth the price I paid.

Check In was so frustrating and was a half an hour behind the "guaranteed" time.

The front desk staff was excellent as was the gentleman in charge of parking, Glen. Looking forward to doing it again next year.

I have ALWAYS loved this place AND I will continue to come here. This "not perfect stay" is an anomaly. Pool was "closed" the only the only morning I was there (chemical imbalance?. Staff person yelled at me "Pool's Closed" like I knew......THEN put the sign in place. There was a set of dirty towels in the same little sofa near games for 24hrs...surely someone would have seen it? I do realize it is the height of summer and I usually go Off Season. I DO LOVE PLEASANT VIEW INN and WILL continue to come here and be a cheerful customer. Please try to have a kitchen breakfast....maybe a trial (or maybe you tried it and failed)....or some kind of continental breakfast?. I am sorry this was not my best visit. kind regards. RUDE check in.

They should be ashamed of themselves charging what they do! Location….beautiful! Hotel rooms are old and falling apart. Some staff are lovely, but some front desk ladies need a lesson in customer service. Everyone we spoke with at the restaurant bar, recommended staying at one of the other hotels/motels on beach. Loved the area so will do just that. ADA standards not even remotely met. I will be reporting that to state officials

the person guarding the parking lot wouldn’t let me back in after we came back from breakfast, he said my name was not in the list? How is that possible if we checked in Friday and our check out day was Sunday,

Staff were rude, very thin walls you can hear everything in the rooms next to you and above you. Prime location with great views/ beach access. Very overpriced rooms for what poor condition the hotel is in. Restaurant staff kicked me out of the outdoor patio/dining right outside of my balcony because I was not ordering anything and told me the tables are reserved for guests. When I told him I am a guest and provided my room number, he told me I still cannot sit there because I was not ordering anything and said the tables need to be saved for paying customers, despite the entire patio/outdoor tables being completely empty and despite me paying $1300 to stay here for the weekend that I was in town. Staff also do not monitor who parks in the guest parking lot so it’s impossible to find close parking since all beach goers take up the hotel parking spots- very inconvenient when you have suitcases and luggage to haul around.

Krysta at the front desk was so helpful, our room was kinda sub par and she upgraded our room for us. Made our visit special. We booked in the off season so the restaurant, bar and front desk had limited hours. Easy check out and we were gone for the day.

The hotel is directly on the beach. Nice views of the ocean.

Renovated older property right on the beach. Indoor/Outdoor casual dining and indoor ocean view bar. Located on quieter end of Atlantic Ave in Westerly but still convenient to shopping, beach bars and additional dining outside of hotel. Perfect for what we were looking for!

Great motel right on the beach. Its an annual treat for some me time on the shore!

Although expensive, you are steps from the beach with many a variety of places to eat and shop. It is a quaint area with plenty of places to walk or drive to. Interior rooms with no views have a very damp smell to them. However rooms with sliding glass doors to the outside our very pleasant.

We had a concern about the hit water in the shower, and a staff came and addressed it in less than 5 minutes. The restaurant inthe hotel was lovely, and the food and drinks were delicious. The only negative is that there is no elevator, so luggage needs to be carried up and down stairs. This also poses an issue for anyone with mobility needs (wheelchair or walker). Overall, it was a wonderful stay. Highly recommend.

Room and balcony with view very attractive, clean, and comfortable. Very good a/c; unlimited ice available But .received no housekeeping for whole 4 days, but were not told this in advance. (Dirty dishes, messy trash not removed.) Restaurant food mediocre. Would definitely stay there again.

I spent my childhood going to Misquamicut for a week every summer with my family. We always stayed in a cottage and as an adult I have stayed at some of the smaller (and less expensive) motels. For this week, I decided to "splurge" and stay at the Pleasant View as I always have loved the look of the property and the beach there. I booked a Monday - Friday and was very happy with everything. You definitely pay a premium for the beachfront location, as the hotel itself is not super fancy. I had a pool facing room (away from the ocean) which was small, but clean and had great A/C. The bathroom was tiny, but did the trick. I only used the pool once, but the water was clean and temperate. It was closed one day for some reason, which was a bummer. Probably due to Covid, there is no housekeeping unless you ask for it, so be prepared to hang up your towels and make your own bed. The bed was very comfortable. Parking is across the street unless you can get one in the back of the property, which was challenging. There is no place to drop your luggage, so be ready to haul it from your car. The private beach was perfect and the attendants and lifeguards were great. Food was good and fairly priced. Good wine and beer offerings too! Overall, a great stay and I will definitely be back!

The hilight of our stay was dinner at the restaurant. Gianna our waitress was lovely. The food was soooo good!! I would never stay at the hotel again. But I will be telling family and friends about our dinner !

I have returned to this property many years now. It is right on the ocean, and you can be on the beach, or you can choose the lovely pool. The restaurant and bar have an excellent ocean view and you can enjoy outdoor dining by the ocean. The food is very good. I’m always very happy with my stay here.

The location is excellent and our room had great ocean views. However, we had guests above us who were so noisy and inconsiderate that people were trying to sleep below them. Perhaps a sign at the front desk would help. They also need a real cook for their restaurant. The food was HORRIBLE.
