This is a beautifully restored building, clean, comfortable and full of lovely furniture and art. The food,bar and pool were all really nice. The staff were so friendly could not do enough to make our stay delightful. Hated to leave and hope to go back.

Stay here! Trust me. The rooms are amazing, very elegantly decorated and styled. Tall ceilings (helps keep things cool). Turn down service. The breakfasts at the hotel are amazing - authentic Mexican. And included in the room price. There is a nice pool but we never used it. The courtyard area is gorgeous. The location is one block from the main square! All kinds of restaurants. The buzz of the city is great. On top of all that the hospitality from the staff, and especially Sr Raul (the owner and grandson of the original builder) is second to none. Such a warm and personalable guy, great staff. Perfection!

Amazing service 10/10. Staff was so attentive to detail and great value for what you get, valet parking, breakfast, and service. Everything can be done on the WhatsApp chat. Excellent poolside service. I even left my iPad on a table it was turned it in. Owner came by and said hello. Breakfast was amazing - no buffet, you order off the menu. Location is excellent and central. Juan, Gener, the entire reception staff were great. We were celebrating our anniversary and the staff arranged a magnificent welcome in our room plus a surprise gift upon leaving. All the personalized notes made our occasion unforgettable. We will definitely be back and maybe with friends.

The hotel was beautiful And I felt like I was in Staying in an intimate lush family mansion. Very high ceiling, large bedrooms and bath, beautifully furnished, excellent and friendly staff, wonderful swimming pool, delicious food. Going back here annually. Best small intimate hotel in Merida!

This hotel is elegant, historic, and very convenient for walking around Merida. The staff is outstanding. Ivan, who works in reception, is very attentive and helpful. Benjamin, Nelson and Gemer were very attentive for breakfast each morning. This hotel is unlike any other and the rooms are large, comfortable and many amenities are provided. The pool area is very nice and in a private area. The breakfast room is in the courtyard and is surrounded with beautiful plants and lovely fountain is in the center. We have stayed at this hotel at least four times and it never disappoints. Also, staff will park your car in a private secure lot somewhere in the downtown area. It takes about ten minutes to get your car when you are needing it. The restaurant has a very nice menu and service is outstanding. The outside eating area is a great place to relax and watch the people strolling through Parque Hidalgo. If you want to be pampered, the Mansion is a wonderful place to stay.

We visited in mid-August & were greeted by the gracious, helpful owner & staff. We found gorgeous rooms & decor, delicious & substantial breakfast (including a full take-away breakfast when we had to leave pre-service hours for a tour), a convenient location near Merida Central Plaza, a wonderful, clean pool, lovely amenities, & an adjacent restaurant for additional meals & beverages. We'll create an opportunity to return!

Beautiful property, everything was very clean. Service was great. Very friendly people. It's close to everything but the downside is that means lots of traffic. Only thing that was a bit inconvenient was the parking if you have a rental. You can't self park but they have free valet service. You just have to make sure you don't forget anything in your car. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Elegant old world hotel in immaculate condition. Huge rooms with large bathrooms. Perfect location in El Centro convenient to all the local attractions and restaurants. Breakfast is available each morning in the gorgeous courtyard and was delicious. There’s a second courtyard with a beautiful pool. The staff go out if their way to make your stay perfect.

Some of the rooms….108…in particular, needs to be thoroughly cleaned and renovated. The lamp shades are dirty and falling apart and the linens need to be replaced with new ones, as well as the dingy robes. The hotel is lovely generally speaking and the service and food were great. Ann O. Mahan.

Let me tell you, this hotel & everything about it is absolutely wonderful! From the first encounter with the staff we were very impressed. My sister & I arrived in a rental car. Not sure where to go she entered into the restaurant/bar area & the staff was more than happy to help us with our car & our luggage even though that was not their "job". After grabbing our bags, they graciously showed us how to enter & where to check in. The property is so beautiful & the greeting by the desk staff was incredible & welcoming. We felt at home right away. They brought us a refreshing welcome drink: were so kind & fun to meet. Our beautiful room was impeccably clean, stately, & it smelled fantastic. There were fresh arrangements everywhere & beautiful fruit in our room. Beds very comfy too! I cannot begin to tell you that this is one of the most beautiful buildings I have stayed in & the service was one of the best I have ever experienced. I travel a lot all over & this hotel is a true gem. The breakfast which was included was delicious and large.The food in the restaurant is just fantastic. We didn\'t feel the need to go anywhere else as this was one of the best menus I have ever seen. Everything was first class yummy & amazing. The margaritas are also the best. The owner who is so kind & genuine greeted & talked with us each day that we stayed. He truly is interested in his guests. I have found a "home" in Merida for life. I will return here every time I visit. Highly recommend!!!

I just stay for one night as they didn't have availability for other nights that wanted. The mansion is beautiful, the suite was amazing but I was disappointed that the towels were ripped off and old, the rate it's high to have a ripped old towels.

This hotel is supposed to be remodeled, but still give you the feel of the age of these buildings. Unfortunately, we had been given a room that had hardly been clean. The status of the bathroom was absolutely disgusting and no one had even cleaned out the minibar in six months things were expired since October and we stayed in feb. The only positive thing about this hotel was the breakfast which you can stay in any other nice hotel and then come here for the breakfast. An absolute embarrassment that they are charging US$400 per night. With leftover pubic hair in the bathroom. I’ve stayed all over the world in extremely nice hotels, and this is definitely the worst value of my money.

The Courtyard restaurant truly captures the essence of Mexican cuisine. The food is a true explosion of flavors, made with fresh ingredients, the atmosphere is vibrant elegant, with live music in the morning for breakfast and at night, the service is warm, knowledgeable and friendly. We recommend everyone to stay at Mansion Merida, conveniently located in Downtown Merida, walking distance to the main attractions.

Mansion Merida isn’t only a beautiful and quiet hotel, but also a unique and different place to vacation. It is located in a convenient area near to restaurants, small businesses, parks and churches. A beautiful old building with lovely historic furniture and ornaments. The front courtyard where breakfast is served is very special. Most of the guest rooms are facing on the road, which is one of the busier streets in the centre of Merida.

This stunning boutique hotel in the heart of the historic center of Merida was formerly a private mansion. The 14 guest rooms are centered around an open courtyard with a fountain and restaurant. The guest rooms are spacious luxurious. The staff are very friendly and the owner is on the premises daily. The location is ideal being within minutes walking distance to historic sights, restaurants and markets. We would definitely recommend, our stay was incredible!

The place is unique , well kept property ,a historic place . In the heart of the city, what lacks in modern features , it complements with the beauty of the place . The owner calls everyone by their name , takes the time to ask if all is well . Being so close to historic downtown , has its plus and minus, walkable distance to most places , might a bit noisy at night , Still , I Highly recommend this gem

This has to be one the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in, and I travel all over the world! The room was so large and beautiful with a large restroom and a big rain shower and all the amenities. The breakfast was excellent with so many choices! And the service impeccable!!! I'd stay here over and over again! If you are ever in Mérida stay at the Mansion Mérida! You too will be writing a great review! So grateful to all the staff for their excellent service! They even surprised with a picture of us in the hotel with a gracious hand written note!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mansion Merida, the hotel is beautiful, and the customer is outstanding. Our room was very spacious with a comfortable bed and an AC that worked great! The bathroom had good quality toiletries as well as a mosquito repellent spray. We were greeted with drinks and a fruit basket in our room. The owner came to say hi one day while we were having breakfast which it was a nice personal touch.

This is a lovely historical mansion to stay at. We had Suite no 107 with a back door leading out to the pool which we used frequently late afternoons. A beautiful respite from the heat and a very beautiful and private part of the mansion. Our suite was beautifully furnished, with a large bathroom and large rainfall shower head. It could use a reno though as it is looking tired. The courtyard area with the beautiful fountain is where we had a high quality, fresh made to order breakfasts every morning and you can have it till 12:00 so no lunch needed! Delicious! Disappointed with our our only meal we had on our first night- ordered octopus and it was rubbery and tasteless. The prices are exorbitant for seafood etc on this menu; however, the apps were within reason. Service was very good on the whole. Would we go back? Probably not at $580.00 a night incl taxes Canadian. We were a bit shocked at the 100$ a night for taxes etc. It is a gem of a place though- traditional Mecican meets French design and we are glad we spent time there!

Elegant old world hotel in immaculate condition. Huge rooms with large bathrooms. Perfect location in El Centro convenient to all the local attractions and restaurants. Breakfast is available each morning in the gorgeous courtyard and was delicious. There’s a second courtyard with a beautiful pool. The staff go out if their way to make your stay perfect.

Staying at the Mansion Merida was wonderful in all respects. It was like staying in a warm cocoon in Merida. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. Everyone knew our name on day one and treated us like family, not merely guests. Our room was also very lovely.

Amazing service 10/10. Staff was so attentive to detail and great value for what you get, valet parking, breakfast, and service. Everything can be done on the WhatsApp chat. Excellent poolside service. I even left my iPad on a table it was turned it in. Owner came by and said hello. Breakfast was amazing - no buffet, you order off the menu. Location is excellent and central. Juan, Gener, the entire reception staff were great. We were celebrating our anniversary and the staff arranged a magnificent welcome in our room plus a surprise gift upon leaving. All the personalized notes made our occasion unforgettable. We will definitely be back and maybe with friends.

In our 4 day stay at the property the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. From the greeting received on arrival by “Hector” to the fabulous services provided by Alberto, Juan, Cindy (food and beverage) & all other staff interactions with Ivan , Enrique and many more the professionalism and attention to detail was very much appreciated. The food and beverages were first class and kudos to the chef & kitchen staff 👏. Your food preparation and presentation were excellent. It was a pleasure to meet the boutique hotel owner Raul Caseras who checked with us daily to ensure our stay was of an excellent standard. After having travelled extensively in North America and Europe it was a true pleasure to experience the 1st class service that we received. The owner, Raul, takes the hospitality shown to each guest very personally, and both he and his staff made us feel less like guests and more like family. I don't believe we've had a better experience at any property. I give this 5 stars because six is not available.

Really great experience here! The little details like personal notes, a framed photo, and a visit from the owner during breakfast were really nice. They also accommodated me when I wanted to set up a note and champagne for my girlfriend. Only thing was that our room said it had a hot tub but did not. But we got over that really quick. Beautiful place!

I celebrated my 45th birthday w/ a group of 10 girlfriends & the staff at the hotel were always attentive & provided excellent customer service! The owner Raul was so welcoming and ensured we were enjoying our stay. I definitely plan to go back & look forward to staying again at Mansion Merida...our stay was wonderful! If you’re looking for a very unique stay in Mérida stay here. It is an old mansion turned into a hotel with only 16 rooms. The property is still owned by the original family. Every employee we ran into was so nice and attentive. Ivan checked us in and we felt like royalty. Raul is the owner and is very present and visits with all the guest to make sure their stay is going great. The location is amazing and walking distance to everything you would need or want. The beds were super comfortable and we slept great every night. Thank you guys for a great experience!

Stay here! Trust me. The rooms are amazing, very elegantly decorated and styled. Tall ceilings (helps keep things cool). Turn down service. The breakfasts at the hotel are amazing - authentic Mexican. And included in the room price. There is a nice pool but we never used it. The courtyard area is gorgeous. The location is one block from the main square! All kinds of restaurants. The buzz of the city is great. On top of all that the hospitality from the staff, and especially Sr Raul (the owner and grandson of the original builder) is second to none. Such a warm and personalable guy, great staff. La localizacion de este hotel es inmejorable. A media cuadra de la catedral y plaza principal. Sales del hotel y a unos pasos estas en la calle mas visitada de la cuidad,llena de vida, plazas, iglesias hermosas y restaurantes. A 10 minutos caminando de Paseo de los monteros y del corredor gastronomico. La ubicacion del hotel realmente hizo de nuestra experiencia algo especial en Merida. El dueño del Hotel, el Sr Raul, esta siempre atento del servicio, y de todo lo que hace que el hotel sea excelente. Fue un anfitrion de primera y nos hizo sentir como en casa. El desayuno estaba incluido en nuestro paquete, y es delicioso y tan basto que es como un “ lunch” o almuerzo. Notamos que hay gente que va a desayunar ahi sin ser huespedes, por lo decioso que es. Las mermeladas unicas y deliciosas. Nuestra habitacion muy linda,y muy espaciosa, el aire acondicionado funcionaba muy bien!! Mansion Merida is like stepping into a slice of historic Mexico. The home is perfectly situated in the Centro, within walking distance to many restaurants and attractions. The owner, Raul, whose grandfather built the historic home, was very welcoming and kind. The dining, housekeeping, and reception staff were all very helpful and professional. We will definitely look to stay here again on a future visit.

This property is unique. If you are looking for a cookie cutter experience, look elsewhere. It is impossible to describe -- you feel like you are living in someone's home. The owner greets you at breakfast, the staff bends over backwards to take care of you. It is a very gracious, charming experience and the property is beautiful. Mansion Merida is a beautiful hotel in the central part of Merida. I can't say enough good things about the staff. Everyone was so kind and helpful, especially Ivan. It is a step back in time with a beautiful inner courtyard--a calm, cool oasis in the center of a vibrant city. Easy to walk to the cathedral and Paseo de Montejo, also easy to use as a base to explore Ixmal, cenotes, Progresso's beaches. Perfect!

This hotel is elegant, historic, and very convenient for walking around Merida. The staff is outstanding. Ivan, who works in reception, is very attentive and helpful. Benjamin, Nelson and Gemer were very attentive for breakfast each morning. This hotel is unlike any other and the rooms are large, comfortable and many amenities are provided. The pool area is very nice and in a private area. The breakfast room is in the courtyard and is surrounded with beautiful plants and lovely fountain is in the center. We have stayed at this hotel at least four times and it never disappoints. Also, staff will park your car in a private secure lot somewhere in the downtown area. It takes about ten minutes to get your car when you are needing it. The restaurant has a very nice menu and service is outstanding. The outside eating area is a great place to relax and watch the people strolling through Parque Hidalgo. If you want to be pampered, the Mansion is a wonderful place to stay.

We have stayed at this hotel at least four times and it never disappoints. Also, staff will park your car in a private secure lot somewhere in the downtown area. It takes about ten minutes to get your car when you are needing it. The restaurant has a very nice menu and service is outstanding. The outside eating area is a great place to relax and watch the people strolling through Parque Hidalgo. If you want to be pampered, the Mansion is a wonderful place to stay.

My wife and i stayed here for three nights, and it was like a dream. The hotel itself is gorgeous and located just a block from Merida's main plaza on its own little picturesque square. Service was excellent; everyone made us feel at home. I must also mention breakfast in the courtyard - one of the best dining experiences we had in a city that takes great (and well-deserved) pride in its cuisine. The huevos mansión may be the best variation of eggs benedict I've ever had.

We found gorgeous rooms & decor, delicious & substantial breakfast (including a full take-away breakfast when we had to leave pre-service hours for a tour), a convenient location near Merida Central Plaza, a wonderful, clean pool, lovely amenities, & an adjacent restaurant for additional meals & beverages. This lovely old hotel has both a gracious staff and classical Mexican accommodations. The furnishings highlight old world charm and exquisite taste. There is wonderful artwork throughout the property, and the rooms are large, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are beautifully appointed, and the staff took excellent care of us. Breakfast was so delicious and filling that we couldn’t eat again until dinner. One of the nicest hotels we’ve ever stayed in.

This is a lovely historical mansion to stay at. We had Suite no 107 with a back door leading out to the pool which we used frequently late afternoons. A beautiful respite from the heat and a very beautiful and private part of the mansion. Our suite was beautifully furnished, with a large bathroom and large rainfall shower head. It could use a reno though as it is looking tired. The courtyard area with the beautiful fountain is where we had a high quality, fresh made to order breakfasts every morning and you can have it till 12:00 so no lunch needed! Delicious! Disappointed with our our only meal we had on our first night- ordered octopus and it was rubbery and tasteless. The prices are exorbitant for seafood etc on this menu; however, the apps were within reason. Service was very good on the whole. Would we go back? Probably not at $580.00 a night incl taxes Canadian. We were a bit shocked at the 100$ a night for taxes etc. It is a gem of a place though- traditional Mecican meets French design and we are glad we spent time there!

The hotel was beautiful and the service the best I’ve ever had . The owner made sure we were taken care. Breakfast was included and it was delicious . Even on our tour day and airport day they packed us a lunch box because kitchen opens at 8’am .

What a beautiful property. We were on our honeymoon and enjoyed this hotel very much. The food is pricey, but absolutely delicious. The only small comment I have is that it would be nice if there were little coffee, pots or espresso machines in the guestrooms for those that arrives early before breakfast service is available.

Over the last 40 years my wife and I have stayed in many hotels around the world. It would not be overstating it to say that our stay at the Mansion Merida Boutique Hotel was among the best we have stayed in. We were met on arrival by the owner, Raoul, who told us that the property, laid out around two courtyards, one containing a most welcome pool, used to be his grandfathers house. The rooms and the service were exceptional. A visit to Merida would not be complete without a night or two here.
