El Coronado Resort

The place was great, very clean and loved the separate bedroom for the teenagers. Only thing I didn't like was that the pool did not have umbrellas with the "free" chairs. In order to be covered, you had to rent a chair with cover for $35 a day or the covered family seciton for $75 a day, which I thought was weak after having spent over $2000.00 for a 4 night stay.

This was our first visit to this property. Overall, very pleased with our visit. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and we had a nice view of the ocean. Pool area very nice but lots of loud children so this is not a place to go if you want quiet pool time. Location was perfect. The restaurant on site was wonderful for lunch. Elevators very slow and busy but that is expected for the amount of people using them. Wildwood Crest is a wonderful place to visit and I would stay here again.

Is just the parking is not easy. The space to park is very narrow for suv, trucks, any big cars. Store closed early afternoon. There are not many stores to shop. The hotel is more for relaxing have a break from the city. Elevators take longer in order to go up. People worker from cleaning are very nice. Smiling welcome face..

This is an amazing place! My only complaint is that if you want to sit in the shade at the pool, you have to rent the area.

Broken elevators, noisy broken refrigerator, toilet mslfunctioned. Cafe staff completely incompetent, rug in room soggy, other guests very loud. Hot tub did not work.

Great Hotel as it offers a lot for the money. Some minor negatives not worth commenting about. The parking, however, needs bigger spaces! If the parking improves then I would rate this Hotel a 5! Very cramped parking but still accommodates larger vehicles in different spots. Plan on returning!

Great place to stay with the family! Kid friendly and a quick walk to the beach. The parking is extremely tight but that seems to be the case for most of the hotels.

Things were advertised but not available, like food service in cabana, restaurant closed most of time. Parking difficult at times. Noise around pool at night. Refund for services not provided not given. Clean room. Clean pools. No shade. No pool towel.

Got a good deal on the price on Expedia.com but it was last minute and I didn't check the hours of the pool. That is crazy to only be open until 9 pm. They have a hot tub and even adults can't go in last 9pm. There are a few areas where the wood meets the concrete coming out of the hot tub going towards the pool that are a complete and unsafe tripping hazard it needs to be leveled off! Other than that it was great . Just some info for the staff ! Right on the beach it's an amazing view also ! I'd stay again !!

This place was wonderful. Great entertainment at the pool. Perfect for beach and pool time.

Unfortunately the bathroom floor was covered in black curly hair upon our arrival. No blankets on the bed, just a sheet. Not a good experience.

Clean rooms, furniture, bathrooms, and shower. Will definitely be coming back here.

We found prior guests open food in the kitchen cabinets

The room we had the shower door was broken. The vents were filthy. My dad wears a cpap machine and could not breathe well. This is our second year staying there. It was very expensive and the rooms were not great. Disappointed

Found someone else’s hair on the pillow and towels. Box spring had dark stains on it. Shower floor was also stained.

The room was filthy dirty. Housekeeping was horrible. Room is run down and should not be rented to anyone. Manager wouldn’t even come out to speak with me. Other guests have similar experience.

The room we stayed in was outdated. The carpet in the room is probably 20 years old. Same is the furniture. There is a musty smell in the halls and a terrible smell of some cheap air freshener in the common areas. The best area of the hotel is the pool, it looks nice. Upon arrival I was surprised by the absence of the comforter on the bed. Called the front desk to ask where was the comforter? Was advised that the hotel doesn’t provide any and there is a blanket in the closet. The blanket looked extremely unappetizing, but the front desk insisted that it was clean. I asked if I can have a second one, was told that they don’t have any at the front desk and they will contact the laundry room. We never got the second blanket and ended up going to the nearest department store to buy one because I couldn’t imagine covering myself with the one provided by the hotel. On the positive side this is a beachfront hotel and the parking is included in the price of the stay. The beach is beautiful, unfortunately for the most of our stay it was flooded and the weather didn’t cooperate much. I still don’t understand why Jersey Shore is so overpriced? Any 2 star hotel in South Carolina would look like a palace compared to this place. With all due respect I would never recommend this place to anyone I know.

A nice ocean view from the private balcony. The room is comfortable and spacious. The pool area is excellent with plenty of chairs.

The beds were very uncomfortable and so were the pillows , horrible old blankets . The elevators didn’t function well . Parking was difficult in the lots , very tight and not much availability . No hair dryers in the rooms , had to go to the desk and ask for one (the prices they charge , being cheap about a junky hairdryer , charge you 30 dollars if you leave a dirty fork in the sink . Hallways and elevator no air conditioning.

Hotel very old. Really needs to be updated. Rooms smell musty. The balcony looks unsafe. Don’t think I would stay there again or recommend. The location is perfect though.

The beds were uncomfortable. They were wonky. Kept rolling to middle of bed. Hotel allows people to put their towels on lounge chairs to secure them for later in the day. This leaves no room or chairs available except for the ones you need to pay for. They had a bunch of lounge chairs locked up but did not put them out for use. The rental fee for chairs is a little high for the price you pay to stay there they should be less. Light on balcony did not work. Couch is very uncomfortable as well. I love the location and the pool is nice. Entertainment at pool is fun.

Only major issue is the terrible wifi. Couldnt use any streaming services.

Not the worse hotel I’ve ever stayed in but for what I paid, over $500 per night, I would never stay here again nor would I recommend this hotel No WiFi in our room, hardly any TV channels, very limited, horrible towels, the worse I’ve ever used, like sandpaper, parking spots very tight People working there were nice, room was quiet for the most part, the restaurant was good

I’ve been coming to wildwood since I’m 10 years old and always stayed in the crest with my family . This was our first time there from Memorial Day weekend and decided to stay in the crest at El Coronado checking in was a total nightmare. There was four people behind the counter only two operating computers unfortunately one young lady seem like she was on the job training was having a very difficult time which slowed the process down. Would’ve thought they would’ve taken care of training before the start of the busy season.Secondly, there is nobody monitoring the pool. It was a free for all- walking around with glass bottles & wine glasses disregarding the rules of the pool,no glass on the deck. There were maintenance guys walking by, but nobody said a thing -people were jumping off , the bridge that goes over the pool couple times almost hitting other swimmers in the pool that were underneath. there were a lot of young kids there seemed like it might’ve been an end of school year or even a prom after party that were very loud and disruptive throughout the night running through the hallways, screaming and yelling at all hours. I don’t have a problem with kids coming down to enjoy themselves, but if you’re gonna rent a room to someone who’s under 21 I would sure hope that they were security in the building To help address these situations that arise. The restaurant was very good. Prices were excellent and the food was just as good that was -nice hotel just needs supervision

It was a last minute decision to remain overnight on a day trip to Wildwood Crest/Cape May NJ. We needed a two bedroom accommodation and a search led me to El Coronado which happened to have what I needed available. I was comfortable with the choice as I had stayed here once before and liked the place. It was clean, and the woman at the desk, Diana (this was a late check-in) couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. I would not hesitate to stay here again on a longer stay.

The manager didn't allow me to change my room to a higher floor even though there are vacancy. The reason she gave was that my reservation was from Expedia and hence it wasn't so flexible to change!

I want to say the staff was really wonderful. They were really engaged, welcoming, and all really personable. Not robotic at all. Not annoyed because they are at work. I’m a seasoned lifelong traveler for business and pleasure and I haven’t seen this is a minute. Everyone from the desk, to the restaurant, maintenance. Kudos to you! Otherwise Impressed with the upkeep of the place. I was there 3 years ago and it needed some love and it has gotten it. It’s really great to see these older Wildwood resorts being maintained for families to enjoy. We will look forward to seeing you again. Our best to everyone.

Located on beachfront so we didnt have to drag our stuff far. The room i booked thru expedia wasnt the room i got. They basically told me to bad. They also lied and said they were fully booked and they were not.

I love this hotel. It’s like right on the beach perfect for my family and I we had an amazing time. The service was great. I felt happy and secure. Service was great. Staff was great. The room was awesome. Best part of my room is having own room with privacy door as we were traveling with our children so it made a huge difference I love this place and would recommend it to everyone

I had stayed at the property in June of this year and it was great. This time not at all. When checking in the staff member processing the check in was not very nice. I had asked if she can please check that the room was not a corner room just the balconies are very tiny and we were a family of 5. Before I even finished my sentence she said there was nothing she can do because my reservation was made through Expedia. I was already committed to my reservation so I said fine, no worries. The room was dirty, zero towels in the room. Broken glasses in the cabinet. The pull out couch bed was broken to the point that we had to put 2 chairs at the end of bed/matress to hold it up. Very disappointed. I have pics of the couch.

Everything and everyone was very good. The afternoon maintenance man (Randy) went out of his way to help with the luggage cart up to our room.

El Coronado is definitely a family oriented resort close to the beach.

The hotel is just a short walk away to the beach! The beach view rooms are great :-) very spacious with kitchen area and separate room. The pool area is fun! Although we didnt use this service, there are barbecues available for patrons to use.

I liked the location. Quiet and away from the Boardwalk noise.

Nice hotel. Very family friendly. Centrally located to wildwood boardwalk and Cape May. Pool was clean and plenty of deck chairs. Walking distance to the beach was a plus! Balcony was a nice touch.

Oceans for breakfast, lunch, and dinner w/ such reasonable pricing was perfect!

This is a great spot! Far enough from the boardwalk to be quiet and relaxing. Easy transportation to and from the hot spots with the local bus. The pool was great for my son and I, offering free lunch on Sundays for guests. The restaurant is super cute too for a quick bite. We'll be back!

The property was well-maintained and the pool and pool area was immaculate. We enjoyed an early breakfast at the hotel restaurant which was very nice with great service!

Beautiful views, wonderful staff, the pool was wonderful and the room was clean and wonderful. The restaurant was perfect and the staff was amazing!

The decor was blah. All browns. Maybe that is the most practical tho. Gift shop was very lacking. There were no price tags on most of the merch, and it was a pain taking each item to the register to be scanned. Also no assortment of tums, aspirin, etc. The hours were iffy, closing annywhere from noon to two, and the employee was obviously not trained at all. Cafe hours were iffy as well, closing between 2 and 4 depending if there was ample staff, and the restaurant was not open at all. Cafe food was very good. We spent a lot of time at the pool; it was clean and comfortable. Also, the pool is large. The cleaning staff is good. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

No coffee in the room , can't use the towels at the pool and gift shop was closed so we couldn't by towel, drinks for the night we arrived. We ended up going to the Hotel across the street to use a vending machine because yours were shut off. Nice thing was we could walk out the door to the beach. Oh yeah we arrived around 5pm, thinking there was a restaurant so we could have dinner and relax. Nope only open for breakfast. Any way we did have a place sleep.
