We chose Canyon Motel for it's proximity to the Wellsboro main street and affordability of amenities, and we were not disappointed. We were able to relax in the Jacuzzi in our room after a long day of hiking and walking, or take in some heat in the sauna which was located in the pool area. The pool was heated, but not too warm and not overly chlorinated, which we have found to be a problem in most hotels/motels. Speaking of problems in other hotels, there were a few small details that made a huge difference to us. There were plenty of towels for our 3 day stay, including pool towels. Also, it's always bothered us how small the trash cans in other hotels can be; the trash cans in our room were bigger than most other places we've stayed and had liners in them. Do you know how refreshing it is to not have to worry about overflowing the trash bin during a 3 night stay? The only small complaint we had was the Do Not Disturb card to hang on the door was very light and easily turned to Room Service Requested by accident. Our last morning there was interrupted by room service because of that. It wasn't a big deal, just something to think about. All in all, we will be recommending Canyon Motel to friends and family.

It is a hidden gem! I look forward to returning. The room was big and smelled like cedar. Generous amenities, kind staff, perfect location, warm pool. Just a head’s up- no hot tub, but there’s a sauna to warm up.

For being a straight-off-the-road motel in a small town I wasn’t expecting much but I was certainly surprised! It was well kept, orderly and pretty modern. The swimming pool and sauna were great as well.

We had a very nice stay at The Canyon motel. The room was clean, off the street so it was quiet and the pool was a very much enjoyable experience. The sauna bath was a plus! I recommend this motel to anyone who spends time in Wellsboro! My second time to Wellsboro and what a fine small town. I will return and definitely stay at the canyon motel.

This is the perfect spot! Walking to downtown - Wellsboro diner was a not-greasy, delicious breakfast. Dunkin, Starbucks and local cafe all nearby. The room was super clean and the hall impeccable - no weird smells. While the parking lot may intimidate some with the tight space, it’s beautifully maintained (snow/ice melt) and there is actually plenty of room. We booked the jacuzzi tub suite and there was all their room we needed, and everything was in working order. We found the hotel to be quiet and comfortable to enjoy beyond just sleeping for the night. We used the pool and sauna - also both clean and well managed. Stay here.

Clean and comfortable room. Good value for price. Sheets felt worn, and in-wall heater was a bit loud, but all other details seemed fine. Pool lights off, even during 'open' hours -- thought it seemed closed (didn't ask front desk).

Everything about this overnight stay was great: check-in, parking, room cleanliness & location. Little things like the makeup towel & abundance of pillows was a nice touch. The location was great & everything was in a walkable distance. The ONLY gripe we had was that the walls were a little thin so it was easy to hear any loud people next door. We are planning a trip in the spring and plan to stay here again.

Honeymoon suite was mediocre. Carpet was torn, room smelled like a cat had been there. The bed was about as comfortable as sleeping on the floor. The shower head couldn’t be adjusted so being under 5’6” I got hit straight in the face. Jetted tub was nice. Overall bathroom was clean. Room wasn’t quiet, could clearly hear others in hall way, at ice machine and some in their rooms.

We keep coming back because we absolutely love it everytime. Its close enough to everything we like to be around, its clean, and the staff is so sweet and accommodating. Eleanor was beyond winderful helping us get settled in and was super sweet to my very talkative 3 yearold which is always appreciated.

We loved the Canyon Motel! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We could walk to everywhere we wanted to go in town and were a short drive from the Grand Canyon. Our room was very clean and cozy. It was unusually cold when we were there and were a little bit chilly the first night, but asked for another blanket the next day and were fine. Would highly recommend!
