My husband had to be in Charleston for a meeting, so we decided to make a trip of it and come to Kiawah as it has been a destination we’ve wanted to visit for a while. It was important for us that the hotel was dog friendly as we had to travel with our Boston Terrier. The location of the hotel is ideal and the hotel itself is beautiful. The price was expensive at over $500 per night, but we splurged because it was dog friendly. However, we were disappointed to learn that although they’ve advertised themselves as dog friendly, only the hotel room is dog friendly. We were not allowed to bring our dog anywhere else on the property, so we missed out on getting to experience the hotel amenities, which was why we booked this hotel. We were told that dogs weren’t allowed on the beach shuttle, nor in the pool area, the lobby or patio.

First off, the front desk staff were awesome!! Allowed an early check-in and late checkout. The bar staff were so nice and great job all around! The place is beautiful. Pictures do not do it justice! The pool area was very nice and well maintained. So convenient to everything in area. We look forward to retiring for another staycation!!

The Ancell Inn is superb! Beautiful property with a great location and fabulous amenities. The staff are amazing as well. The breakfast is delicious and the jazz band on Thursday nights is extra special. Will definitely return again!!

Great artsy vibe in lobby and guest rooms were roomy and felt new/well maintained. Also had excellent breakfast with fresh cut fruit every morning, and they serve mimosas as well. Waking distance to grocery store and stove with pots and pans and dishwasher were a plus, hotel also had daily cleaning/new towels We’ve stayed here many times and will come again soon

Unbelievably courteous staff from the front desk to the housekeeping team. This place is a hidden gem. It is less than 2 miles from one of the most beautiful beaches in the USA. I travel globally for business and the Andell Inn easily falls into the top 10 places i have stayed at.
