Aqua Natura Madeira

This is the most amazing property with views from everywhere, even the jacuzzi. The staff was very friendly and provided a welcome drink, coupons for the natural pools, and information as needed. The bedrooms were good enough with a very large comfortable bed. Laundry came back a little damp with a strong detergent smell and I expect it's because they hang dry everything in Europe. There was construction going on and the closet didn't allow for a long dress to hang. None of this mattered because the views were so good. The weather was a bit cold and even that didn't matter. I would love to stay here again. I highly recommend it.

Unbelievable location, nearly in the sea! Large comfortable room. Nice food in two restaurants. Unfortunately no gym, very small sauna and jacuzzi.

Beautiful view from our hotel room. Excellent customer service. Easy access to the tidal pools. Very walkable. Parking is a bit confusing because it is just down the street. They have construction in front of the hotel but that was fine. Delicious breakfast.

accueil, gentillesse, vue exceptionnelle, jacuzzi accessible à toute heure, même très tard ...c'est top ! peignoir, chaussons et serviettes piscines ... rien ne manque ! On cherche encore un point négatif mais c'est dur à trouver : chambre un peu humide mais clim et déshumidificateur dans la chambre. Petit-déjeuner exceptionnel ! jus d'orange frais et pressé dans un buffet ... c'est un point parmi tant d'autres qui permettent un bon début de journée Parking et accès aux piscines naturelles : facile grâce aux accès offerts par l'hôtel !

The hotel is perfectly positioned about the natural pools and we had a lovely 6 night stay here, using it as a base to explore the island. Our room looked out over the ocean with fantastic views from the balcony. Housekeeping was very efficient and our room very clean and comfortable. We booked our stay on a HB basis and as an anniversary treat. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choice. Dinner could be taken at the rooftop restaurant or at the seaview restaurant. We preferred Seaview. However, we arrived to discover extensive renovations right next door to the hotel ..we assumed it was another Business until we called by reception to advise our bookings at Seaview could not be honoured as it was closing to allow kitchen equipment to be transported and installed ' next door' at the hotels new premises!! For the next few days breakfast was served at the rooftop restaurant, which had no means to keep hot food hot and only approx 10/12 tables were undercover and protected from the elements I understand that work needed to happen but I am very disappointed that the hotel were not upfront with the fact that facilities would be out of commission as a result of building work, especially for our anniversary itself. Most of the staff were fantastic and a real credit to the hotel.

Nicely situated on the sea front with rooms looking out onto the bathing pools below. The hotel has extra parking a few minutes walk away accessible with the room card. The staff were all friendly and helpful and breakfast was very nice with a good selection but seemed to be lacking a toaster. The room was comfortable and well maintained but smaller than we thought and was rather musty on arrival which cleared quickly once the windows were opened. We spent just a few nights here and I’m not sure if there was enough to do beyond that even though we had a car, very limited eating options in the resort but the restaurant at the hotel was very good. The resort lacked any nice little bars to stroll out to in the evening. Overall a nice short stay.

A wonderful hotel with fabulous views of the sea. Huge rooms with big, comfy beds and large balconies overlooking the sea. The rooftop infinity pool, hot tub and sauna is wonderful also; there is free access to the clifftop natural pools too. The food is exceptional of fine dining quality and the half board option is excellent value, not too be missed! All of the staff are friendly, kind and helpful, they really care and want to ensure you have a great stay.  Highly recommended!

Enjoyable stay. Free access to the natural public rock pools. The hotel spa is very small but nice to have this facility anyway and the outdoor lounge terrace overlooking the ocean (smail as well) makes for a relaxing experience.

Die Restaurants bekommen von mir 5 Sterne. Allgemein ist das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir hatten Halbpension und konnten uns aus einer Menükarte etwas aussuchen. Das Essen schmeckt super. Die Bademöglichkeit in den Naturschwimmbecken, ist super, wenn es nicht stürmt. ;-) Leider hat uns die tägliche Reinigung der Zimmer nicht gefallen. Erst nach Aufforderung, wurde nach dem großen Brand auf Madeira, der Balkon gereinigt und das mit keinem großen Erfolg überall lagen Haare. Die Nachtschränke, der Schreibtisch wurden nicht einmal abgewischt. Auch wurde innerhalb der zwei Wochen Urlaub, nicht einmal das Bett neu bezogen. Das kenne ich aus anderen Hotels anders. Das müsste das Personal verbessern.

Our room smelt soo badly of mold . Bathroom had mold everywhere that was just painted over. Curtains in the bedroom were also moldy. The hotel is under Renovations The staff was very friendly - unfortunately they were fully booked and had to move us to their other hotel. With some pushing we got our dinners covered. Other hotel room was clean. Food was great. We hope they fix the issues with the Reno’s

Vi havde er meget skuffende ophold på hotellet. Udsigten fra værelset fra god og det samme var morgenmaden, men alt andet skuffede ift. beskrivelse og billeder. Hotellet er bygget i 1980’erne og der er intet blevet gjort siden, for at renovere det. Det var gammelt og trist indrettet og der var også beskidt i de fleste kroge. Wifi var dårligt og vi henvendte os flere gange til personalet for at få det lavet, men det hjalp ikke. Generelt tog personalet ikke vores henvendelser alvorligt, selv om vi flere gange måtte kontakte dem, med ting der ikke var tilfredsstillende. Hotellet havde en rooftop restaurant/bar med en smuk udsigt, men også den oplevelse blev ødelagt med dårligt mad, tinge service og beskidt og gammelt interiør. Vi rejser meget og oplevelser mange hoteller og er næsten altid meget tilfredse med vores valg af hotel. Dette var dog ikke tilfældet denne gang, som var en kæmpe skuffelse og ikke pengene værd.

This hotel is right beside the natural lava pools in which you can swim. The staff were uniquely helpful and friendly - service excellent without being intrusive. Food was very high quality. Hotel was immaculately clean throughout.

Rent værelse, sødt personale, god beliggenhed

Really splendid staff who did everything to make our stay pleasant. Room was unusually clean and well decorated but not large. Watching the waves break from our balcony was amazing. We had half board, breakfast was excellent and dinner from the half board menu was pretty ok. The food was very nicely cooked and presented for me they could do with keeping it simpler with less decoration and fewer flavours on a single plate. Overall our stay was a great experience.

Das Hotel hat uns im Großen und Ganzen recht gut gefallen. Jedes Zimmer mit Meerblick und direkt an den Lava Pools. Wir vermissten jedoch eine Klimaanlage, da man bei offener Balkontür schon einen sehr gesunden Schlaf haben muß, um von der Meeresbrandung nicht gestört zu werden. Man sollte sich im Management auch über die recht begrenzten Parkmöglichkeiten Gedanken machen.Es ist sehr ärgerlich, wenn man als Hotelgast gut 30 Minuten warten muss, um endlich einen Parkplatz zu ergattern. Trotz allem ein empfehlenswertes Hotel

Everything about the stay was faultless - the room, the welcome drinks, the views, the food and staff. The view from the bedroom was fantastic we were directly over the pool, which allowed us to see and hear the crashing waves while still sitting in bed.

Die Angestellten waren zu jeder Zeit überaus freundlich und bemüht, alle wünsche zu erfüllen. Unser Zimmer war für zwei Personen arg klein, sodass wir unsere koffer aufeinander Stapeln mussten, um Platz zu haben. Betten waren aber sehr bequem und wenn man sich an das Meeresrauschen gewöhnt hat, konnte man gut damit einschlafen. Die Zimmer haben keine Lüftung, weshalb man bei offenem Fenster schlafen musste. Für uns Frischluftfanatiker aber kein Problem. Der Zimmerservice macht aber sehr gute Arbeit und wir hatten jeden tag wieder ein top hergerichtetes Zimmer!

La chambre avait une vue magnifique sur les piscines naturelles et l’océan avec un balcon. En revanche elle était assez petite et spartiate au niveau décoration et mériterait d’être rénovée. En revanche, le personnel est attentionné. Mon anniversaire tombant pendant le séjour, un gâteau d’anniversaire a été apporté et des pétales de fleurs déposées sur le lit.

A unique gem of a hotel. The views & sounds of being so close to the sea is incredible. Rooms are clean & modern, dining options, particularly the rooftop restaurant are superb. You definitely will need a hire car if you want to explore the local area, as porto moniz is quite small with just a handful of places to go.

Breakfast had just about everything to satisfy everyone. Walkable to other stores and along the waterfront. Super quiet at night.

Quarto enorme, cama enorme e confortável e uma vista deslumbrante da varanda. Não tem nada de frescura no quarto, o destaque fica mesmo é para a qualidade da cama, lençóis e espaço. O café da manhã é super farto e com ótimas opções. A varanda fica de frente para o mar e para as piscinas naturais. É lindo demais! Para quem quer conhecer o norte da Madeira e fazer trilhas é uma opção maravilhosa.

The staffs were amazing, gave us a little gift on our checkout. They were very attentive, kind, and amazing. It was the best hospitality in Madeira (funchal hotels were horrible in comparison). The room was nice and clean, with amazing (at night a little bit scary) view of the ocean and waves. I highly recommend!

Vista incrível sobre o mar da costa norte da ilha da Madeira e das piscinas naturais do Porto Moniz. Amenities no quarto fantásticas, só tenham cuidado com o interior da chaleira, no meu caso tinha muito sujo colado no fundo da mesma, aspecto de bolor. Foi trocada por uma limpa após solicitar a receção. Alimentação: pequeno-almoço bom; cuidado com o jantar!!! O meu esposo ficou com uma intoxicação alimentar, passou a noite doente, hotel recusou responsabilidade e lavou as mãos dizendo que os alimentos estão dentro do prazo de validade , obviamente não é só a data que determina a qualidade do alimento. Embora tenha solicitado um termômetro na receção às 7am (já agora, não tinham) e informado sobre a noite caótica que tivemos devido ao jantar, ninguém do hotel nos contactou para saber estado de saúde do meu esposo, fizemos check-out e mais uma vez, ninguém quis saber de nada. Sugestão: evitem refeições neste hotel, se alguma coisa vos acontecer, ninguém quer saber! Aniversário de casamento e escapadinha de "relax" estragada da pior maneira.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, so much so that we miss them! The breakfasts were wonderful and varied and the meals in the seaview restaurant were top class. The young staff on reception were also very efficient and helpful.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were gracious and welcoming. Check-in was seamless. The room was clean, spacious and the view was just amazing. Both of the on-site restaurants were top notch with excellent food, beautiful presentation and friendly service. The breakfast buffet was fresh, varied and delicious. The hotel is about an hour from Funchal and public transportation is limited so you will need a car. But well worth it!

en plus de mes remarques , declenchement incendie a 3 heures du matin . pas une personne de l'hotel n'etait presente , un client a appelé la police qui est venue et a inspecter les lieux et a apres45 minutes , la police est allé cherché un menbre du personne de l'hotel et qui a ensuite neutralisé l'alarme . Nous sommes restes une heure dehors .c'est en dessous de tout . a mon domicle , lorsqu'il y a un declenchement , dans la mintie on est appelé et j'ai 4 personnes qui peuvent etre contactés

Fantastic experience and perfect base to explore the island if your interests run more towards hiking and exploring than shopping and beaches. Parking was plentiful and nearby, and loads of amenities out the door in Porto Moniz. Breakfast was varied and high quality. Free use of the natural pools just outside the hotel was a welcome plus. Highly recommend.

The staff was friendly and the views were beautiful. Unfortunately, the location is far from airports and the main island areas for restaurants and shops.

This hotel is very far from Punchal airport, but it was listed on Expedia as a choice foyer for Funchal. The roads to get there are very dangerous, especially at night. Don’t book this hotel if you are landing at Funchal ($80 euro cab ride). It is a very isolated town, far from the main attraction areas.

perfekte Lage, wenn einen die Anreise einmal quer über die Insel nicht stört, perfekter Service, tolles Essen, herrlicher Blick aus dem Zimmer auf das Meer, wir waren vollkommen zufrieden dort Mietwagen ist aber hilfreich zum Erkunden der Insel, am Besten mit ausreichend PS wegen der vielen Berge

I didnt realize this was on the other side of the island. I am happy we stayed here. Very quiet at night and everything you need right there. Be sure to rent a car if staying here. It cost 90 Euros from the airport to the hotel by taxi.

This hotel is situated in a very nice location facing the lava pools.The beds were comfortable, the balcony was spacious with a beautiful view of the ocean and the buffet breakfast was good. It is within walking distance to all sights in Porto Moniz . There is lots of parking available. Staff were friendly and efficient. We appreciated the thoughtful welcome and departure gifts.

After a big day hiking and sightseeing, we relaxed in the hotel and took in the spectacular view. We had half board so dinner was at the Beer House and it was really good with a great selection on the menu

We stayed for a week in this perfect hotel. The location is amazing. Staying with our teenage/early 20's children, we took 3 rooms - 105, 106 and 112. Each room has its own balcony with table and chairs to enjoy the view along with a little pull out drying rack. 105 being the smallest of the 3 rooms has a shower room with the best view of the ocean! 112 has a different view onto the ocean with a beautiful Mountain View combined. All rooms have a minibar. Rooms are clean and bright and it's lovely to fall asleep to the sound of the sea! We stayed half board which is something we don't normally do. Breakfast is varied, well stocked with something for everyone. Evening meal has the same menu every night and whilst there are a range of choices it does get repetitive. Food though is fresh and there are 3 courses. We actually arrived too late on our first night and staff offered us a lunch in the rooftop restaurant which was amazing. The staff are all very accommodating and speak a few languages. Towels are provided for the pool areas just remember to obtain a complimentary entrance ticket from reception before you go as the natural pools are actually run by a different company. We hired a car which we feel is a must in Madeira as this beautiful country has much to see and do. We were glad that we choose to stay in Porto Moniz as it is the quieter side of the island which suited us. The hotel itself was busy but also quiet at night making it the ideal place to stay.

Razoável. Está mais para um 3 estrelas. O quarto é pequeno; o box é minúsculo e no banho, alaga o banheiro. Travesseiros não são bons. O restaurante é bem médio. A massa veio totalmente mole, passada do ponto. O hotel vale pela vista para as piscinas naturais e pela localização.

Ubicación espectacular con vistas preciosas al mar y la concina. Habitación bonito con cama enorme y cómoda. El desayuna y cena de muy buena calidad aunque si estas mucho tiempo a lo mejor al fina te haría un poco monótono porque la carta de la cena no cambia aunque es bastante amplia, hay que decir que nos ha costado muy poco extra (en total 75 euros para las dos para 7 noches, osea unos 5 euros por persona por cena, una verdaderamente ganga porque puedes elegir 1 entrante, 1 principal y 1 postre) la opción de media pensión en vez de alojamiento con desayuno mientras este menú normalmente cuesta allí 35 euros por persona si no estas alojado. Algunas camareras muy simpáticas. Detalles muy bonito por nuestro aniversario de boda en nuestro dormitorio y en el restaurante. En general en recepción el trato era correcto pero alguna vez no había nadie y en mi opinión en un hotel de este tamaño de 4 estrellas siempre tiene que haber alguien en recepción. A veces cuesta encontrar un parking gratis a lado del hotel aunque hay parking gratis a unos 250 metros.
