The room was clean,easy parking,staff was good.

I have two suggestions. The gravel roads into the motel at night are dark and very hard to find. Also, as soon as they can afford it, they should take up the carpets in the pet rooms and put down luxury vinyl panels or something else easy to clean. My dogs went nuts smelling the carpets all over the room because of the embedded traces of past dogs in the rug.

The room is clean, sheets were clean. Facilities is looking run down, probably the original carpet that was first installed when it was built. The shower in my room didn’t work. I could turn the water on but could not adjust temperature. Luckily it was already on a warm setting. Be warned, they say they’re pet friendly but when you check in they charge you $25 per pet, which they do not clarify on the website.

Was a decent place for a quick overnight. Microwave did not work, but maintenance guy was quick to replace it. Definitely dated property. Parking lot is gravel so beware if you are riding a motorcycle.

It was fairly quiet, but the outside door that went to the rooms was not locked. The rooms smell old & have cheap funky finishes. It is a 70's motel. I stayed at a much nicer motel completely updated and safe for the same price. I won't stay there again. The maid was nice, & the managers were a little too casual & did not seem to know how to use the booking system that well. Finally, the coffee was the worst! The bed was comfy.

The room and bathroom are huge! It's an older property, but clean. The wifi signal is wea, and the railing is falling off the outer stairway. I appreciate being able to stay with my cats!

Stay away from this utterly disgusting hotel! I chose them based on affordability & because they advertised as dog friendly (no mention of an upcharge). They tried to add $30 to my $89 room fee for my 10# shihtzu and when I protested they dropped it to $25. I should have just left. The hotel was filthy. Hallway carpets terribly stained. My room carpet equally stained and had not even been vacuumed - there were huge crumbs everywhere from previous occupants. Beverage rings/dried stains on the bedside & bathroom surfaces. I wiped them down with a wet washcloth. Long black hairs on the bathroom floor. I couldn't get the TV/satellite to work, so the desk clerk came to my room to "fix" it. She asked where the 2nd remote for the satellite was. I told her there was no 2nd remote. She said she would locate one & bring it back. I never saw her again. The "free wi-fi" would not connect. Given the lack of 'customer service' on the TV, I did not contact the front desk. The old mattress was awful. And the room smelled strange. (More than the distinct odor of dog pee.) When I woke at 5 am, I had no running water. Could not flush the toilet or take a shower. No answer at the front desk. The outside doors into the hallways could not be locked. Anyone could walk in anytime, day or night, and the locks on the room door were flimsy. Not a single fire detector in sight anywhere. I left at 5 am. Tried to call management repeatedly all day but got no response to my messages.

Very clean. Comfy bed. My only issue was the outside stair railing wasn't connected to the stairs except by 1 bolt and it was just kinda hanging there. very wobbly and if a kid were to grab the railing or even an adult it would of come down. And the stairs were not against the building. There was a big gap that someone could of fallen thru.

The stay was terrible! The office clerk was not friendly at all. The area smelt like cigarettes smoke. The room was smelly, carpet is very very dirty! You can smell and taste the dust. The face cloth was stained. The towels were thin as paper. They only has one set of towels for two people staying for 2 days. The tub had mold around it. If I wasn’t there for my friends wedding, I would have slept in my car than in that smelling room. I will never book a room there again! Very sad. Thank you!

I have never stayed at a hotel as filthy as Amber Inn. The Check in was good. Once we got in the room, it smelled like a wet dog. We pulled the sheets and discovered semen on the blanket and bed sheets. Notified the Managers and they moved us to another room. This room also smelled terrible but not as bad as the previous. The entrance door was stuck to the carpet and was almost impossible to close. We were stuck at this Hotel since it was too late to find another. What was more disappointing is that the Manager said they had many rooms available but gave us a room that was in terrible shape. They could not find keys to other rooms. They said the keys were mixed up without tags.

Black mold on the ceiling of the bathroom, fan in bathroom also sounds like diesel engine. Sink handles kinda grubby. Bedroom was clean, top mattress seemed good, box spring covered in plastic patched with ductape. Overall kinda run down motel, but staff were very nice and bed was comfortable. Trains run by in the night which was kinda soothing but probably not great if you're a light sleeper.

Extremely dirty!!

I spent a comfortable night here. It’s a simple place, and no one should expect highly updated facilities; that’s not realistic at this price point. But my room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the staff helpful upon check-in. Prospective customers should be aware that the place is a little hard to find after dark. The turnoff to the motel is rather dark and doesn’t feel like a real road. This should not dissuade anyone from staying here. Just be aware that if you arrive in the dark, you might have to circle once or twice before you find your way.

Check in took too long because the person working the front desk wasn’t answering the doorbell or phone. Then the room was pretty bad. The last thing I did before I left was clean our feet because the floors were so dirty. Not just dirty, but very sticky. The smell of the room wasn’t great. The bed sheets were scratchy. If I wasn’t so exhausted and I knew how close the next town was I would have stayed elsewhere. It wasn’t even a great deal for what it was. I would definitely not ever come back. I can’t say that about too many places, and I’ve stayed at some pretty old motels that were at least clean.

It is clean. Provides the basics. Price is amazingly affordable!

The air conditioner was VERY loud. It was like listening to a jet engine. We had to choose between the noise and the heat otherwise the room would have been comfortable.

The owner is trying hard to make this motel work, but the TV did not work (they tried to fix it, but couldn’t) and the Wi Fi is weak at best and is lost repeatedly. No morning coffee. Considering these things and the generally old and worn condition of the entire motel, it’s not worth the relatively low price.

Great basic hotel to sleep and be on your way. AC worked but wasnt super cold. No cable.

Very basic motel. One night stay if you come late and leave early. Internet didn’t work. Went to take a shower in the morning and the tub water did not work. Only a two star and 2 for the friendly woman who checked us in.

Very no frills and a very noisy AC

This motel is just off the freeway, so it's convenient for travelers. There are also gas stations across the street, and a couple of food options. My room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The room was pretty spacious. The bed was comfortable. While the furniture is a bit old, it's in good condition, and I am very satisfied with my stay, and would definitely consider staying again, should I be in the area.

I hate to do this, but I didn't have a very good night there. The room wasn't particularly clean, HVAC was all noise and no effectiveness, property was relatively noisy being close to I-84. Replace the HVAC units, get some double-paned windows to block noise more effectively, and replace the carpets! I realize that's a big investment, but it really is time for that. I wouldn't stay there again as it is. Staff were very nice, though, and online booking was fast and easy. The rooms are pretty big, actually, which I always appreciate.

Manager was MOST accomodating

I arrived at 1am after driving all day and Courtney checked me in and was incredible. She went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, and she was fantastic. I do this drive a fair amount so I’ll absolutely be staying here again. It’s obviously an older building and not really updated, but the ac worked, the sheets and top blanket were pristine, and the coffee in the hallway in the morning was a legit good cup of coffee. I don’t care if a place is has that vintage feel tho, the service and cleanliness are what matters, so to me, this place is a diamond in the rough. Thanks Courtney!

Booked the room the day before our arrival and received a confirmation, however when we arrived there was no one inside to register with. Waited approximately 45 mins. and tried calling the office contact phone number several times but was never able to reach anyone. Finally called Expedia and they canceled the reservation and made sure we weren’t charged.

Nobody at front desk, had to use a buzzer that produced someone from a guest room down hallway. Room had heat turned completely up when I entered room… STIFLING!!! Took a good 2 hours to get room to a comfortable temp. ZERO coffee in the morning, NOBODY at from again for checkout/receipt/coffee.

There hospitality was excellent, the ac didn't work and remote for tv. And i ask the receptionist and she got right on it. Maintenance man was up there and fixed the problems. Thank you guys

Tried calling the day of check in with questions and they didn’t answer the phone. Tried calling on the day of check out multiple times and they NEVER answered The man at the hotel desk for check out was very rude! Too expensive for a run down cheap looking motel with bad customer service

The staff was friendly and checked me in right away. Easy on and off right by the highway.

No one would come to let us into a room. I tried several times and no such luck. We drove 40 minutes out of our way to stay and then had to drive the 40 minutes back to town to find another place to stay. It was 9:00 pm when we arrived. I was never given any information that we needed to arrive by a certain time. We were looking forward to a break being out of the car and ended getting back in and backtracking. It was very disappointing.

Signage cinfusing. A sign near freeway exit, but the approach roadway was unclear. Gravel/unpaved entrances. Poorly lit.

It is a very old hotel and NOT updated. You call someone to the desk with a ring doorbell. The “lobby” smelled of some weird fragrance incense and the up stairs level had a very strong burnt fish smell that didn’t go away. The walls are VERY thin. The bed was uncomfortable. You hear people and pets in every direction at all hours. The tv had to be reprogrammed 4 times. We really didn’t think the tv worked when we couldn’t get the sound to even come out. We had to unplug and replug the tv in to reprogram everything. The AC/heater cadet couldn’t hold the temperature so it kicked on and off loudly every 20-30 min. There was dust on the headboard and on the lamps and tv. There were goat-head thistles in the carpet. Oh, and I can’t remember the last hotel I stayed in that had an actual metal key for room entry. The hotel is in a convenient area, it just needs very updated and maintained.

Was very basic in furnishings but certainly more comfortable than sleeping in our van anothed night. The local eats were yummy and it definitely has that small town vibe. Glad we stayed.

The room was very affordable, large and had a fridge and microwave. It was dated as expected for a motel in this price range but it was clean and the lady working the front desk was very nice. There was coffee in the morning which is a real treat. McDonald's and gas station ⛽️ 1 minute away which is very convenient. It's right off the highway but it's not very load from the road and you really can't even hear the road when the ac is on lol

Very old hotel, needs updates to several areas the outlets wouldn't hold my charger, they gave us a outlet extension that worked. No coffee maker in room but they had it ready for me at 5:30am.. also no tissues for my nose. Overall I think the management is trying to keep it going without a lot of overhead costs.

Didn't find the coffee makers until we were leaving this morning, and no way in room to even make tea. Late to get checked in (they were late - must have had a busy night / full house, because at check-in time still many rooms undone. Otherwise decent enough to stay. No brekkie available...
