Realy enjoyed being able to spread all our stuff out and have a base for a few days. Casas del Toro is a large place with beautiful views over MonteVerde. A nice bonus is the laundry room with washer and dryer. Close proximity to town. I saw some monkeys walking to town. Only draw back is the wifi was slow, not the best for video calls. Also, getting in and out of the shower/tub was tough as the tub is high. A stool might help. Otherwise, great stay, with nice parking spot. I would return.

The villa we stayed at was amazing and had everything! We were able to cook, do laundry and it was a short walk to restaurants & the downtown area. It was also close to Monteverde Cloud Forest and easy to get there with a transfer. Right outside our villa was also the perfect place to watch the sunset. Communication was easy and the place was easy to find! We definitely recommend people visiting the area to stay here!

Loved that there qas a washer and drier to use. Too bad they were out of laundry soap. They siad they would get some there right away. That ended yo the next afternoon. We were there three nights and the drier really helped, no no real worry.

Wow what a great place to stay for a night or a month or longer. The place has all you will need to have a fantastic stay. Small kitchen to prepare your own meals if you so choose, dining table to have coffee at and eat. Comfy bed. Was all we needed and more than we expected for the price we paid. Will definitely stay here again if we are ever near Monteverde again. This place I’d perfecto.

Gorgeous grounds and view. Comfortable beds. Great have a kitchen. The water in the shower was terrible! Suddenly it would be ice cold then suddenly blistering hot. We both hated that, but otherwise the apartment was perfect. The housekeeper was awesome!

We stayed at the Spanish school. Beautiful buildings and amazing gardens. Great restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. They organised a taxi to take us and pick us up from the night tour we’d booked at Monteverde. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Hotel very clean. Kitchenette very nice to have for breakfast. The staff was fantastic scheduling tours and transportation. The gardens were nice with lots of birds in the evening. Close to to a few restaurants for walking and about 3k into the main part of town but grocery nearby if needed.

Casas del Toro Monteverde was an amazing reprieve and respite during my journey around Costa Rica. Traveling solo, the communication on where to go and how to get the keys, as well as showing around the property upon arrival and security of parking were immense pleasures. The place itself is gorgeous and has amazing views, along with amenities needed during a short or long stay. The bed was also amazingly comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Close to all in Montverde. Beautiful gardens. We had a car so everything was easily accessible. Abit dated but clean and well maintained. I loved the kitchen. A great homebase for Montverde,'s attractions.

We recently stayed at this property and they upgraded our unit for no charge. The unit was very clean and neatly maintained. There were instructions on how to use appliances. This property has amazing Sunset view just outside the property. The property felt like staying in Italian villa in Tuscany. Nico and Joel are fantastic hosts and I highly recommend this property.

We enjoyed staying at this property. The only drawback was the inconsistency of hot water in the shower. We had two rooms and on both the first and second floors, we experienced hot water shower issues. The water would get hot and then after a minute it would turn completely cold. If we let it run for several minutes more, the hot water would return, only to turn cold again after a minute.

Lovely view nice clean condo. The chairs were very uncomfortable and salt and pepper and dishwasher detergent would be nice. The roads getting there were horrific. I wouldnt go back unless i was staying longer.

Seul point à améliorer : la cuisine n’était pas en très bon état et l’absence de Climatisation est assez pénalisante, le ventilateur de plafond ne prenant réellement le relais que vers 21h. Mais pour le prix, c’est convenable. Dernier sujet: la personne à l’accueil a voulu me faire payer la chambre, jusqu’à ce que je lui démontre que j’avais déjà payé….

Located on the campus of CIS, this spacious home has plenty of room to spread out. Layout is strange, lots of uneven stairs not so great for anyone with mobility issues. Stunning, peaceful grounds. Good location. Great value.

The gardens and view from this property were gorgeous. We didn't need air conditioning because of the lovely breezes in the evenings. The beds were comfortable and the staff on-site very accommodating. It helps to speak Spanish!

Need to remember the check in and check out are at the immersion Spanish school. The place was fabulous. Superb view, very cosy apartment, nice bedding, had all the amenities we needed. Certainly recommend the place and we will come again. We checked in late and staff was very generous to be there late.

The Hotel was lovely. I loved the garden area. The rooms were great. We were met by Nacho who was so wonderful. He helped in making sure we were set up, helped us with arranging activities and really made us feel welcome. I would stay there again. Thank you.

Didn’t even get to stay there. No communication that they had a leak until we arrived. Know it wasn’t their fault about the leak but better/sooner communication would have been better.
