Depending on the source, the Eden Ocean View Da Nang is listed as either a 4-star or a 5-star hotel. It is definitely not. Service was the worse I've ever experienced in a hotel. When we arrived, there were 3 "doormen" or "bellhops" standing at the entrance and none of them offered to help bring my carry on suitcase up the stairs. The entire 6 day stay, no one ever opened a door for us even when they were standing in front of it. I came back one night to find that housekeeping had swept the floor out in the hallway but left the pile of dirt in the middle of the floor. Food at the buffet is lukewarm or cold except for the hard boiled eggs or the noodle station. The egg station only fries eggs and are not made to order. They just fry them and stack on a plate for you to grab from. Note I didn't try a lot of the food because it didn't look very good so other dishes may have been hot but I doubt it from the texture of them. A lot of the bread was hard so it wasn't fresh. Staff were very slow to take away plates and clear tables. Maybe it's just me but I found it odd that they don't provide hand soap so you have to use the shower gel to wash your hands. All in all, it's not a horrible hotel but don't expect a 5-star experience.
