Desmond Tutu Conference Centre

Given it 3 stars as there was lots of noise during the night. Drills, hammering and very noisy carts. It was very strange to be in a hotel that was being systematically dismantled ready for major renovations. Some staff were excellent some staff more worried about moving things out than looking after the residence. I’m sure it will be better when renovations are complete but would give a wide berth for a while.

Sono arrivata alla struttura ed era piena. Non c’erano stanze disponibili e non avevano ricevuto nessuna prenotazione da Expedia. Ho dovuto trovare un’altra soluzione in poco tempo. Non capisco come vengano gestite le prenotazioni da questa piattaforma…

The place is safe

I paid for my stay through the Hotels.com booking, but the hotel refused to recognize this, and made me pay again, and told me to get a refund from Hotels.com Additionally, the facility is very dated, in pretty poor condition.

Not delighted. Overpriced, austere, and some amenities missing. The listing included heating, cooling, and a fridge, none of which existed. The room was very small, and with little acoustic separation from common hallway; sound transfers in both directions, taking away privacy. There was also some motor noises in my room. Internet is unreliable, water pools in bathroom. On the plus side, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the buildings are nice and well arranged.
