Hotel Careyes Puerto Escondido

The hotel was ok, small but well maintained. They charged me almost double for second night as they said reserving on line only pairs for one night and had to pay second night at check in+19% taxes. So 2 night for 2 rooms each at $59 then $107 for each room for second night !!!??. So be ware of reserving online that they charge you for the complete stay as they bump up the price to double and you’re stock or have to spend time looking for another place to stay. The staff was helpful and hotel was ok, the beds were either too firm or too soft but glad we had 2 beds so we could switch otherwise we wouldn’t be able to rest well. Be aware when reserving on line that they offer you a good rate then when checking in tell you that you was charged for one night then bump the price to almost double. I felt it was a reap off and the same thing happened in Oaxaca. Very disappointing to experience this when trying to enjoy a long awaited vacation.

Great location-closebto Centro, Carrizalillo, rinconada and the bahía principal. You can walk everywhere. Lots of restaurants nearby and tacos pass by the hotel. There is a pool, amazing air conditioning, and very clean.
