The Hadley Hotel

Koselig lite hotell og hyggelige ansatte. Enkel standard. Vi fikk et nyoppusset rom som var ok, men rom nummer to var ikke oppdatert. Skittent gulvteppe med rusk fra forrige beboer, flekkete håndkle til å stå på etter dusj. Dusjhode som ikke fungerte så bra, gjeste dusjsåpe som allerede var brukt av og toalettet spylte dårlig. Uheldig med kun en stor dobbeltdyne, når man ikke er vant til det. Bratte trapper opp, uten heis. Men ellers var hotellet sjarmerende med egen pub og to bord i restauranten.

We stayed in the top floor triple room. The room itself was pleasant but it was very warm even with the radiator off and the Aircon on the lowest temp (18C). The shower was also a bit temperamental with temperatures fluctuating during each shower from very hot to cold. Overall our stay was comfortable. Maria couldn't do enough to help make us feel welcome and taken care of. Thank you Maria! :)

This hotel was not quite my cup of tea. On entering there wasn't a fresh smell and the whole property could benefit from opening windows. The first room I was offered on the top floor was not acceptable. There were stains on the ceiling from water ingress and the carpet had dirt stains. The next room was clean and acceptable although it was only just big enough for two single beds. The room next door was the laundry room and one of the machines beeped throughout the night. Breakfast was average, and my spoon was not clean - I used a teaspoon from my coffee instead. I left on the second night, instead of staying for the final night, as my sleep was disrupted.

Great staff, food good value

The room was ready when we got there around 11:30, before the noon check in time (also a great perk since most hotels don't allow check in until 3 or later). Parking is on the road but there was plenty and the road felt very safe/quiet. The staff were very helpful and I don't realise breakfast was included in our stay which was another nice perk. Especially for the total price. You can get into central London in 30 mins on the tube so for the price of the room compared to anything closer in, it's well worth it. The bathroom is a bit tired decor wise but not horrendous or anything, our shower just didn't drain all the well and the showerhead could do with a replacement but other than that it was fine. Comfy enough bed with great pillows. Can't complain at all and will definitely use the hotel again when we need to be in London.
