Great place for a vacation with kids. 2 pools, hot tub with waterfall, water park playground, and a pool for the younger children with water play features and 4 smaller slides, and amazing huge water slides to top it off. On site restaurants, arcade, Friday night glow parties, and within walking distance of many restaurants and shops including the world's largest McDonald's, Chucky Cheese, Pizza Hut, etc. The Disney shuttle stops just outside the gate picking up daily at 9:45, dropping off at 5:45. Overall the food from the onsite restaurants is pretty good, with the exception of the breakfast buffet. I would suggest hiring a Southerner to cook the biscuits, bacon, sausage, gravy, and eggs. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, but clearly not familiar with Southern breakfast fare.

Resort was very well kept and staff was friendly. Some areas of the resort could use some updating but general area is very convenient and shuttle to universal was a nice bonus. Water park was fun for the kids. Universal desk in the lobby very helpful and staff knowledgeable. Guest laundry very convenient and quick! Would stay again.

The water park is great but only one pool is heated and the slide for the heated pool was not working. The hotel is good but it’s like a motel with a water park inside. Good for its price though

It is a great vacation area with things to do in one spot for all ages. Just be prepared to pay resort fee and parking, and breakfast pkg separate from booking price. Otherwise great for the family

The jets in the hot tub did not come on while we were in there. Overall everything was clean but i do think the room towels could have been a higher quality towel. We loved the pools and water park! I also loved the convenience of having Starbucks, dining options, icecream, giftshop, and an arcade on site. The extra events for the kids was a big hit as well. My children loved the tatoos, braided hair, and games. Overall we had a great experience!

Water park slides didn't open until 2 pm on a hot day. Their excuse was because of low occupancy.. We paid for it!.. They closed it also for a few clouds for 2 hours.. No rain even. Shuttle was terrible and poor times... 45 min to universal for.a 5 min ride

The pool/water park area is the thing that sold it for us. Children absolutely loved it. Only stayed 2 nights but could have stayed longer. Location excellent on International Drive- hotel provides free bus tickets for the I trolley which stops practically outside

We were so pleasantly surprised by CoCo Key. We live in Orlando and chose to do an end of summer staycation. I've looked at this place many times over the years, but was always a bit discouraged by the low-star reviews. I am so glad we gave it a shot. Our experience was fabulous! DO NOT judge a book by it's cover! The waterpark is great. No long waits for the slides. Three areas to swim and play, half of them under shade.We went to Aquatica the next weekend and 2 of my kids said they like CoCo Key better because they didn't have to wait in lines.Every employee was so friendly.The people manning the slides were helpful, always smiling, helping little kids into the tubes.We paid extra for the breakfast (which was amazing) and even the employees there were all smiles and so kind. For a place that is constantly dealing with tourists and foreigners I was very impressed. We ate all our meals at the Resort and everything was served in a timely way and the food was tasty. Breakfast we great (paid extra for this).Everything we ate was very tasty. They had tons of options.Coffee was not great--probably instant--but we are also big coffee snobs and I never expect hotel coffee to be good. No complaints about our room. Nothing special, just your standard room, but it comfortably fit our family 5 so that was a win for us. Before we left my husband pulled the manager aside and told him that whatever they are doing with their employees to keep it up. We will for sure be back!

This place is in desperate need of updates and repair. The rooms were dusty and gross. The mattresses were clearly very old because of how uncomfortable they were. When I went to check for bed bugs, as I do in any hotel I stay at, I didn’t find any bugs but I did find that it was disgustingly stained. It looked like someone had been murdered in the bed. That’s how stained it was. The sink in the bathroom was broken and would not drain. The shower would not get hot and my family had to take cold showers. The ice machine one our floor was broken so we had to go up to the next floor for ice. The water park and pool areas were ok but were too small for the amount of guests. I was practically shoulder to shoulder with strangers. The pictures online make it look nice but in reality it’s trashy and just affordable enough to be filled with trashy people who are obnoxiously loud and don’t supervise their children who are doing canon balls into the hot tub. Parking is horrible. The entrance to the building was right next to their dumpster so it smelled like hot trash every time we left or arrived. The food at the restaurants was so expensive I didn’t even consider dining there. Next time I’ll just stay at universal properties and go to Volcano Bay.

Once we had checked in we get to our room there was dehumidifiers in our room and smelled like Mold. I kindly requested a new room. Once we received the new room the bathroom was dirty stains on the toilet seat no hand soap no body wash the bottles were empty. Our towels had blonde hair all over and we do not have blonde hair. The shower was dirty. We requested for the room to be cleaned while we went to enjoy the resort. Once we got back from the pool closing at 10 and getting back to our room at 10:30 we noticed that NOTHING was changed our bedding still sticky bathroom still dirty we had to wait until they came at 11:30 PM after we requested the room to be cleaned again. This is definitely a DAY PASS place not to STAY! I will not stay again I do not trust the cleanliness thank God we brought our own towels from home I had to shower with shoes on in my room.

I had a disappointing experience during my stay. Several guests, including myself, were unable to access our rooms even hours after the official check-in time. The pool water was extremely cloudy, which raised concerns about cleanliness and maintenance. If you need additional blankets you will have to reach out multiple times before you get anything. The rooms had a strong musty odor, and it seemed like issues were simply being covered up with fresh paint rather than properly addressed. Bathrooms had no ventilation, so steam built up and absorbed into the drywall, adding to the unpleasant smell. I also overheard other guests complaining that their air conditioning wasn’t working—an essential amenity, especially in hot weather. While most of the staff were friendly and helpful, one front desk attendant stood out for the wrong reason. She repeatedly ignored guests waiting in line and refused to call anyone forward when her station opened, creating unnecessary confusion and frustration almost like she was too good to call on you. Overall, the property appears to be poorly maintained, and basic hospitality standards were not met. It did not live up to the hype and was ultimately underwhelming. I mostly blame administration because they are ultimately the ones who make the decisions to put money back into the resort, but instead they keep for profit.

A roach, and, and spider paid us a visit in our room during our stay. The shower curtain had mold all in bottom. The room smelled like dirty carpet. Carpet was def dirty. My kids feet and socks proved that.

When I arrived after 4 p.m . My room wasn't ready and I had to wait other 1 hours for my room. Then my riom door didnt close completely itself. After returning from a day out. My room has been serviced but the door was open. I reported the concern to the front office. She say maintenence was contacted, but no one every came to fix the door.

I really did appreciate the water resort, which my little one enjoyed. It just isn't a fancy nice hotel. If you want something nice and fancy, this isn't it. I booked my reservation through Expedia thinking we have access to the pools and water park. NOPE, you have to pay another amount aside from what you pay to reserve to able to access the pool and resort. One of the nights, I came back after a long hot day, wanting to shower and there was barely any water coming from the shower, seems like all the water running in all the other rooms made me wait for the water flow to come back stronger. I really did appreciate the water resort, which my little one enjoyed. It just isn't a fancy nice hotel. If you want something nice and fancy, this isn't it. I booked my reservation through Expedia thinking we have access to the pools and water park. NOPE, you have to pay another amount aside from what you pay to reserve to able to access the pool and resort. One of the nights, I came back after a long hot day, wanting to shower and there was barely any water coming from the shower, seems like all the water running in all the other rooms made me wait for the water flow to come back stronger. Love the property so many amenities and things to do with the kids that you don't even need to leave but if you wanted to leave there's so many things to do very close by. I would rate this five stars all the way if the windows had blackout curtains light shines through the windows all night long lighting up the room like daylight and the other thing is the beds are extremely uncomfortable. We ended up canceling the last two nights and booking another hotel for four times the amount just because we needed some sleep and our backs hurt terribly bad. But if you don't care about sleep Arrangements this place is incredible and the drinks are amazing.

I loved the amenities on the property. I also loved the area. There were a lot of stores, restaurants, etc in the area. About 5 minutes walking from Icon Park. All the Universal and Disney parks were 15 mins or less. I did not like the rooms. The hotel is very outdated. It’s more like an upscale motel. The showers, the mirrors, the dressers. Everything was outdated. The shower continued to leak through out the night. Some outlets weren’t working. I would advise them to renovate the actual hotel.

The multiple pool areas was great. Breakfast options were a huge plus. Only problem was the 1st guest attendant was very rude & unprofessional. Check in was at 4, I got checked in until almost 7 pm. I got here around 515 & he charged me resort fees and said room needed to be inspected by supervisor, wouldn’t be more than 10-15 minutes. 25-30 minutes later I see him talking to other staff and checking in guests so I go ask another attendant if my room is ready, he took all my info & said it was. The whole time I was waiting in lobby since my kids really wanted to get into the pool& he came up to me and said he’s been calling me but I “didn’t answer so he moved on”. The 2nd attendant helped me get checked in & got our luggage & everything was great. I asked the first attendant if I needed anything else for the breakfast since it was part of my plan and he said nope, the wristbands are all I needed. We head to breakfast the following day & apparently I needed vouchers for my entire stay. I had to go back to front desk and get those myself as well. I won’t be staying here again.

AC went out, which isn’t a bad thing but they kept unplugging it and plugging it and say that would fix. It would last for a little and then hot air would blow out again. The customer service during this was terrible, they didn’t offer to switch rooms. Then the inconsiderate manager decides wake-up calls at 7am is appropriate after the issues took place through 1am. They service in the breakfast is excellent, but majority of items like hasbrowns and sausages were over cooked. Bar staff again very nice, but the prices were not worth the value. I would not recommend.

We booked 2 family suite from Sunday to Thursday - horrible customer service, one of the rooms was not available until after 6 pm and we did not get the rooms we booked. I had a disappointing experience during my stay. Several guests, including myself, were unable to access our rooms even hours after the official check-in time. The pool water was extremely cloudy, which raised concerns about cleanliness and maintenance. If you need additional blankets you will have to reach out multiple times before you get anything. Our stay at Coco Key was nice. This is an older property that has been renovated new. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Check in was quick. The shuttle to Universal was nice. Only wish it ran later as the last one back to the hotel was at 7:20p. We had no complaints and would recommend this place. Just realize, as I said before, it is an older property that has been renovated. For the price you can’t go wrong.

We were so pleasantly surprised by CoCo Key. We live in Orlando and chose to do an end of summer staycation. I've looked at this place many times over the years, but was always a bit discouraged by the low-star reviews. I am so glad we gave it a shot. Our experience was fabulous! DO NOT judge a book by it's cover! The waterpark is great. No long waits for the slides. Three areas to swim and play, half of them under shade.We went to Aquatica the next weekend and 2 of my kids said they like CoCo Key better because they didn't have to wait in lines.Every employee was so friendly.The people manning the slides were helpful, always smiling, helping little kids into the tubes.We paid extra for the breakfast (which was amazing) and even the employees there were all smiles and so kind. For a place that is constantly dealing with tourists and foreigners I was very impressed. We ate all our meals at the Resort and everything was served in a timely way and the food was tasty. Breakfast we great (paid extra for this).Everything we ate was very tasty. They had tons of options.Coffee was not great--probably instant--but we are also big coffee snobs and I never expect hotel coffee to be good. No complaints about our room. Nothing special, just your standard room, but it comfortably fit our family 5 so that was a win for us. Before we left my husband pulled the manager aside and told him that whatever they are doing with their employees to keep it up. We will for sure be back!

Staff was very friendly and accommodating I asked to be moved into a quieter building and they moved us no problem. The food was very good. The location was perfect every thing we needed was a short walk or uber away. I would prefer coco key over a value disney resort any day. All lifeguards were on point and I didn’t have to worry about my kids roaming safely and freely. Complimentary water located throughout the lobby and water park was refreshing! We enjoyed coco key very much and will be visiting more often!

The location of the property was nice as it was only a few mins away from Universal studios and about 20 mins from the Disney parks. There were also plenty of restaurants walking distance from the hotel. The toilet did not flush very well. Other than that I have no complaints about the hotel.

The pool/water park area is the thing that sold it for us. Children absolutely loved it. Only stayed 2 nights but could have stayed longer. Location excellent on International Drive- hotel provides free bus tickets for the I trolley which stops practically outside

I came to Orlando with my three kids (13, 9, 7) for the first time. The kids really enjoyed the water park, and the arcade. It was a nice break from the Disney Parks. We will be coming back to Orlando and we will be staying here.

Good fun for families. Food of course made to feed the masses so kinda bland but nothing salt & pepper couldnt fix. All staff were nice & helpful! Give them 5 stars! Would we return again? Probably not as my child felt just a little too old to be there. Although there are some fun slides adults can ride. I'd say perfect for kids 14 and under!

Our Grandchildren had a ball. Staff was wonderful. Everything ran on time. Everything was neat and clean. The only down side was the breakfast. It was pretty awful. Biscuits were to hard to eat, sausage patties appeared to have been reheated or something (but they were inedible), and the gravy was awful. Pretty much ate cereal, so when paying over $70 for 3 adults, it was definately not worth it. But otherwise everything was terrific and we will go back, just bringing our own box of cereal. Thank you.

The stay was great, was perfect choice for my granddaughters 10th birthday. Staff friendly, everything was very clean. My only drawback was the prices on food/beverage they were really ridiculous. $6.50 for a bottled water, $5 for bag of chips, $12 for kids Mac & cheese, $5 for fries, $4 for microwave popcorn. I know it’s a resort but the markup is extreme. My recommendation is to stay there but bring own snacks & drinks to keep in room, and don’t eat meals there.

The water slides and pools are great for kids. The hotel room was very old and outdated; the pillow cases and sheets on the beds were dirty and stained. We didn’t get any room service for three nights/ four days we were there. We brought cleaning products and Lysol and cleaned our hotel room. The food was pricey and didn’t taste good. Clara the front desk staff was very kind, sweet and attentive. The beach chairs had ants and dead leaves all over them. I wouldn’t go back. The Tiki bar and arcade was cute and cool.

The kids loved the water park and proximity to the hotel room. I was diasppointed that many of the pictures online had a rose colored filter. The hotel room was a little outdated. The restraunt was more cafeteria style then a restruant and a bit pricey. The food was good but dining area was a bit lacking. Breakfast buffet was good, but also a bit meh. Good enough but the meats were just ok. Juice/milk seemed watered down. Service at breakfast was great but the dinish area needs an update as well. The water park was a blast for the kids. More shaded areas would be nice, many of the chairs and umbrellas were damaged and not being anle to bring ANY outside food or drink made our trip shorter before heading back to the room for snacks. With young kids actively playing they barely stop to suncreen let alone sit for a meal from the restraunts.

The hotel was nice It could use some renovations in some areas like the breakfast buffet area and room furniture. The food was good and the employees were very friendly, polite and attentive. The food was pretty good, the best chicken wings I’ve had in a long time.
