It's all about the spa/sauna! I came to the sauna as a guest and then thought I'd try a room at the hotel. It was comfortable and quiet, the staff were nice, and the sauna is even better when you can go relax in your hotel room after. Location very convenient too! Easy to get everywhere, groceries, food, and a nice walk next to the Spree

Der er på hotellet ikke sikret en parkering. Det betyder at parkeringen kan blive på et andet hotel hvor ud og indkørsel er besværlig hvis du under opholdet skal bruge bilen dårligt. Parkeringen i øvrigt markant dyr i forhold til andre steder. Kommer der aldrig igen da service er for dårlig og stemningen i receptionen besværlig

Ein wirklich sehr schönes und modernes Hotel. Sehr gute Lage, vom Hauptbahnhof fußläufig zu erreichen. Das Zimmer war sauber und vor allem ruhig gelegen. Das Personal ist sehr nett und geht auf alle Belange der Gäste ein. Das Frühstück war zwar gut, jedoch hätten wir uns für den Preis etwas mehr Auswahl gewünscht. Der Fitnessbereich ist zwar klein, aber dafür sehr fein. Die Geräte sind modern, sauber und gut in Stand. Die Aussicht beim Trainieren ist wirklich sehr schön. Alles in allem war es ein erholsamer und schöner Aufenthalt im Steigenberger Hotel. Lediglich das Frühstück überzeugte uns nicht vom Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis. Alles andere war TOP.

Åbningstiden til spa var begrænset. De lukkede tidligt på ankomstdagen og åbnede sent på afrejsedagen. Vi nåede kun at få 20 min inden lukketid. Spaområdet var præget af udefrakommende og manglede dampbad. Ift prisen burde der havde været bedre faciliteter. Vi var meget glade for beliggenheden.

Herr Schäfer am Empfang war sehr nett und man merkt, dass er seine Arbeit wirklich mag. Sowohl das Check-In auch das Check- Out waren schnell und unkompliziert. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und ich hatte einen schönen Ausblick. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig. Leider ist das Dampfbad seit Monaten immer noch defekt.

Overall, I really like the hotel, the location next to the train station and the view of the German 'Regierungsbezirk', as well as the rooms, the sauna and the bar. This time I was disappointed about the lack of VIP recognition, problems with parking (the garage of the Steigenberger was full) and an annoying sound in my room that I reported. But the staff was very nice, though they did not manage to get a technician to come until the second day (sound went away for a few hours but came back). The bar was packed because the restaurant is closed and I left after waiting for over 15 minutes to order a drink.

Hotel was very clean and modern looking. Great location right across the street from Berlin’s Central Station. Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. I absolutely loved my room and this hotel. The price was very reasonable and I will most certainly stay here again if I’m in Berlin.

Bei meiner Ankunft war ich etwas darüber verwundert, wie sich die ankommenden Gäste in mehreren Reihen anstellen mußten. Aber das war das kleinste Übel. Noch nie habe ich solch ein dreckiges Hotel erlebt. Flecken in den Teppichen, Flecken in den Sitzelementen der Lounge, usw. Insgesamt wirkt das Hotel sehr schmuddelig und schmierig. Das Frühstücksbüffet war sehr reichhaltig aber qualitativ minderwertig. Die Butter schmeckte ranzig, die Brötchen waren pappig, alt und geschmacksfrei. Die Eier hatten den Stempel -2- was bedeutet daß die Hühner in Bodenhaltung auf engstem Raum leben, mit wenig Bewegung, und niemals draußen sind. Abschließend möchte ich auch erwähnen daß meine Bettwäsche durchlöchert war. Vom Steigenberger habe ich deutlich mehr erwartet.

Im ersten Zimmer war Schimmel im Kühlschrank, danach gab es ein kostenloses Upgrade. Da waren aber dann Silberfische im Bad was erst nachts aufgefallen ist. Werde Trotzdem wieder kommen.

Leider lagen 3 Fußnägel auf dem Teppichboden bei unserer Ankunft, daher mittlere Sternebewertung. Das Frühstück , in der Regel für 33 Euro, ist m.E. noch ausbaufähig. Mehr regionale Produkte, gebeitzter Lachs hätte mir gefallen. Überschaubare Aufschnittauswahl, bei 4 Tagen immer gleich…. Lage für Berlin super! Eine Nespressomaschine war auch da ☕️☕️☕️🙏Cocktails sehr gut, wenn auch etwas höherpreisig, aber sehr gut🍹

My room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. The location was very convenient - just a few yards away from the hauptbahnhof. The breakfast was excellent with exceptional choice and omlettes cooked to order. My only disappointment is I found the dinner menu quite limited. However there is a large traditional German restaurant - Zollpackhof - a short walk away.

Wir waren das zweite Mal in diesem Hotel, weil wir damals sehr begeistert waren. Dieses Mal waren wir jedoch enttäuscht - insbesondere bzgl des Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnisses. Eventuell waren unsere Erwartungen nach dem 1 Besuch auch einfach zu hoch. Aber in einem 5 Sterne Hotel in Deutschland erwarte ich Sauberkeit, bei der es durchgehend glänzt. Eines der beiden Nachttische hatte eine dicke Staub-/Schmutzschicht, die Fensterscheiben von innen einige Handabdrücke (sah nach Kinderhändchen aus) und das schlimmste: die Fugen in der Dusche schimmelig (selbst die oberen). Auch wenn man am Anreisetag sehr spät abends ankommt und gegen 22/23 Uhr feststellt, dass im DZ nur Handtücher für 1 Person da sind & man einfach duschen & ins Bett möchte & an der Rezeption anruft bzgl der Handtücher würde ich im 5 Sterne Hotel erwarten, dass der Service diese vorbeibringt. Stattdessen soll man diese dann noch selber unten holen…das sind Kleinigkeiten & eventuell erwarten wir einfach zu viel, aber das sind wir von anderen Hotels der Preisklasse gewohnt. Genug des Jammerns: die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet, die Betten bequem, die Aussicht fantastisch, die Nähe zum Hbf mit allen ÖPNV klasse.

This is a really lovely hotel in an amazing location. The lobby and rooms are both beautiful and large. The rooms are clean and beds are cozy. The one drawback from the rooms is the bathroom offers zero privacy. There's a clear window that looks right into it. So families with older brothers/sisters may not love that part about it. It's perfect, otherwise. We requested a rollaway and it was in our room upon our arrival. The breakfast buffet is honestly the best in town. It's huge and offers just about anything a person could want for breakfast. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is steps away from the main train station, which has a direct line to the airport and everything else in Berlin. It's across the street from a park, Lime bike and scooter rentals, 10 minute walk to Brandenburg Gate. 20-minute walk to Checkpoint Charlie. There's no reason to get a rental car in this town, especially if you're staying at the Steigenberger Hotel.

Limpio y muy bien ubicado. Sólo que el cuarto tiene algunas incomodidades: regadera muy dificil de entrar porque es tina, es MUY resbalosa y peligrosa. Tiene puerta transparente y nada de privacidad en el baño y sale toda la luz cuando alguien entra. No hay sabanas, solo cobijas y o te da frio o te sa calor

The room was very large, top notch. High ceiling. Coffee machine was Nespresso, excellent. Huge bed. Many comfy pillows, important for us as we arrived transatlantic and had to catch up on sleep. Bathroom was large and superb. Shower had rain head and hose spritzer - great. Shower large enough for two ;) Separate lighted mirror for makeup/shaving. Large TV, with multiple language stations. Strange but comfy lounge chair. Location next to main train station ideal for an early getaway. Yummy cucumber water in lobby. Staff very pleasant.

Hotel was very clean and modern looking. Great location right across the street from Berlin’s Central Station. Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. I absolutely loved my room and this hotel. The price was very reasonable and I will most certainly stay here again if I’m in Berlin.

The hotel was nice but unfortunately not the best experience. Our room key stopped working in the middle of our stay and it took the hotel 2 hours to resolve the issue, so we missed out on 2 hours of our trip. The worst thing however was they double charged my credit card, when they guaranteed us that we would not be charged twice since we gave our credit card at the beginning and at the end of our stay. I am still in the process of trying to obtain a refund from the hotel, but given the headache this has caused for a fairly avoidable issue, I wouldn’t recommend staying here again.

This review comes from a hotel.com gold rewards member. As long as its available i do expect perks to be offered upon checkin, and i generally target hotels which participatein gold rewards. However when checking into this hotel i asked for an upgrade and i was offered availible rooms but with a price, when i pointed out hotels.com booking the room upgrades suddenly became 'unavailable'. My booking also came with free late checkout if available, when i asked i was told this only got me 1 extra hour... i had to pay €60 for an extra 4 hours. This is poor service. Never again!! Very bad service. I had to call the reception 4 times and talked to them face to face as well to get iron I asked for it and waited 7 hours to get it. 7 hours to send an iron!!!!! I have received the iron around midnight!!!!

Overall, I really like the hotel, the location next to the train station and the view of the German 'Regierungsbezirk', as well as the rooms, the sauna and the bar. This time I was disappointed about the lack of VIP recognition, problems with parking (the garage of the Steigenberger was full) and an annoying sound in my room that I reported. But the staff was very nice, though they did not manage to get a technician to come until the second day (sound went away for a few hours but came back). The bar was packed because the restaurant is closed and I left after waiting for over 15 minutes to order a drink.

Hotel is extremely convenient for anyone travelling by train. Right across the square from Berlin Central Station, you couldn’t get any closer to the station. That being said, the hotel is very quiet. Hotel staff are all wonderful and very helpful. The Food Factory across the street has loads of options for eating and drinking, from morning coffee to an evening pint. All of the city sight seeing buses have a stop right in front of the hotel too. The hotel is also close to a lot of the major tourist sites as well. A perfect place to stay on a pit stop in Berlin.

It also is just within a few blocks of all the tourist spots we wanted to see, would highly recommend. This excellent hotel is located right beside the Berlin HBF central train station. It’s modern, clean and comfortable. It’s easy walking distance to most of the historical sites in Berlin and being right beside the station means it’s very convenient to take day trips away by train and return. Perfectly located near the train station. The Hop On Hop Off Bus also has a stop right outside the Hotel, which we used a lot, to get around town. The Hotel was very clean and comfortable. The Steigenberger is as good a hotel as you can hope to stay in. The staff is attentive and friendly, the robot butler Jeeves is a nice little novelty, the location is a stone's throw from Berlin Hbf (although there's little else of interest in the immediate vicinity), and the breakfast is the best I've ever had at a hotel.

The one drawback from the rooms is the bathroom offers zero privacy. There's a clear window that looks right into it. So families with older brothers/sisters may not love that part about it. It's perfect, otherwise. We requested a rollaway and it was in our room upon our arrival. The breakfast buffet is honestly the best in town. It's huge and offers just about anything a person could want for breakfast. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is steps away from the main train station, which has a direct line to the airport and everything else in Berlin. It's across the street from a park, Lime bike and scooter rentals, 10 minute walk to Brandenburg Gate. 20-minute walk to Checkpoint Charlie. There's no reason to get a rental car in this town, especially if you're staying at the Steigenberger Hotel.

My room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. The location was very convenient - just a few yards away from the hauptbahnhof. The breakfast was excellent with exceptional choice and omlettes cooked to order. My only disappointment is I found the dinner menu quite limited. However there is a large traditional German restaurant - Zollpackhof - a short walk away.

Out of six hotels that we stayed at in Germany this is our favorite. It had the biggest room the nicest bathroom the best bed. The staff was friendly and helpful. it’s conveniently located next to the main train station in Berlin so you can access all areas of the city easily.
Out of six hotels that we stayed at in Germany this is our favorite. It had the biggest room the nicest bathroom the best bed. The staff was friendly and helpful. it’s conveniently located next to the main train station in Berlin so you can access all areas of the city easily.
