Great location, close to everything. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable beds, very clean rooms. Lovely breakfast. And a live singer while I was there which was very enjoyable. Second time I’ve stayed in this hotel and will definitely be back.

Wonderful stay at Ibis Styles St. Andrews. Very helpful and friendly staff, delicious and plentiful breakfast included and cosy, comfortable rooms. Great restaurants in the area and a short walk to the Royal Mile. The only thing I would have liked was an in room safe - if there was one, I couldn’t find it.

Can’t beat the location! Property was clean, breakfast was great. Room was small but not unusual in Europe. Construction going on on facade of building and loud banging around 8 am. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay in Edinburgh.

We had an amazing stay- the bed is so comfy, the room is functional and theshower was 10/10 ( hot & with very good pressure). There are lots of plug sockets, conveniently placed around the room, a kettle in the room and a decent hairdryer, which truly makes the difference! Breakfast was good for a complimentary breakfast, though nothing out of this world. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Live music is performed on Fridays in the bar which was a nice touch, but we couldn't hear the music from our hotel room which was even better! The room itself was stylish and the bathroom was clean and very pretty. We were so pleased with the hotel and would absolutely stay here again.

Our room and especially the bathroom had an odor (sewer like?) and unpleasant. Room service did not replace items like coffee, tea and snacks. The floor was never swept or vacuumed. The front desk employees were excellent and the location is good but the rooms are tiny. Buffett breakfast good.

Some of the night staff was a bit unbothered/rude and not helpful after getting stuck in the elevator. I would have expected them to ask if I was okay as it can be uncomfortable. the cleaning staff did not change the bedding either even though it was visibly stained of ketchup (my daughter managed to eat in bed) besides that the stay was lovely :) clean and nice hotel. many of the managers were service oriented though. Would return again!

Great hotel. Lobby was very welcoming and staff were lovely and couldn't do enough. Breakfast was perfect and nice to have that included. Only complaint is the bathroom looked really tired. Tile grouting was quite dirty and could do with a refresh.

The location is great for walkable access to everything. The staff seem indifferent to their guests and in fact our family party was asked to move from the “lounge area” while we here waiting for our rooms to check in. The rooms themselves have no storage for personal items and were somewhat uncomfortable but very clean.

We had a top floor apartment which had a corner balcony. This provided amazing views over Edinburgh and would highly recommend. The hotel is very clean and tidy with service being excellent. It is perfectly situated with access to shops and restaurants all within a couple of minutes walking. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Went for a birthday weekend. The reception staff were polite and friendly, had a reply to every question. The room was lovely, meet all our requirements. Great night sleep. I can't describe how helpful the reception staff was with helping us make the best of our stay. At one point we were about to miss your Ghost Bus Tour and the staff made it happen by ordering us a taxi. The ability to store our luggage after checking out made the rest of the day in Edinburgh worry free. Thank you Ibis and staff, yours Dom.

We return every year to the Ibis as the location is perfect for exploring Edinburgh. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel has recently been renovated to a high standard and continental breakfast is great with plenty of choice highly recommend this hotel

On arrival we were ignored by staff as both of them were already in a dispute with a customer who believed they had paid on booking but hadn't. not a good sign. When I was acknowledged the staff member just tapped away on the computer, she asked me if id changed dates. I had no idea what she meant. This went on for sometime. It got to the point where i asked if there was a problem. A 2nd member of staff just conceded there admin query was irrelevant and gave us a room key on the ground floor. She then states theres live music until 2300hrs on Thursday. We soon changed room after lunch as due to the music comment and the appalling street level view of an alleyway covered in graffiti. 5th floor was fine. rooms are a bit pokey but fine for sleeping for 3 nights. Ibis styles defo wont be my on list next time.

Me and my husband stayed 5 nights here and it was wonderful. The staff is truely what made the Ibis shine, they were all very warm and friendly. They seem to genuinely care that you have a nice stay. Reece was great and gave us many recommendations on places to visit in the area as well.

Made a day of reservation and checked in within the hour. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Nicely renovated, modern lobby and rooms. Room was quiet and has a/c. In a not so busy part of town, but still easily walkable to restaurants and shopping. Great breakfast that's included. Overall great stay! Would definitely stay again and recommend!

Great little hotel. Close to loads of shops on Princes Street and not too far from the train station and all the tourist sites. Was surprised how decent the included breakfast was, and the rooms are nicely decorated. All in all, surpassed my expectations and will definitely stay again.

Hotel has a modern vibe. The lobby and bar area overlook St Andrew’s Square, a quiet and peaceful park with tram stop to airport. Shops and restaurants abound on side streets. It’s a 20 minute walk to the castle and Royal Mile and we walked to river walk and ruins too.

We stayed here in 2019 and loved it so much that we rebooked for this trip. The staff are professional, polite and friendly. The breakfast is wonderful with lots of choice and many healthy options. Rooms are spotless.

Great location central to most tourist attractions in Edinburgh and close to public transportation for trips further out. Staff was friendly and helpful and they had the best continental breakfast I’ve ever had. I hope I can stay here again someday!

Perhaps the sort of place to stay if you’re 25-35, have tattoos, and say “like” and “literally” in every sentence. Not the place for a 70 year old fart. My choice, my fault. Breakfast (if you could call it that) was awful - the smoked salmon (shredded into tiny pieces) tasted off and the scrambled eggs had the consistency of foam rubber. Inane artwork everywhere. Bed was comfortable and the shower excellent. Must be something about hotels in St Andrews Sq - tried the Malmaison a while ago- an explosion of black paint! SG

Great location in Edinburgh city centre-ideal for a weekend or city break. Room was comfortable and clean but we had no outlook. We weren’t in the room much so it wasn’t a deal breaker. Buffet style breakfast was super-great choice and help yourself style layout. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Fantastic location, lovely rooms, and very convenient check-in and check-out times. The breakfast was delicious, and everything about our stay was excellent. Overall, a really, really lovely hotel that I would happily recommend.

Frokosten var europeisk, kanskje litt enkel, men god. Jeg bodde i 5.etg, der utsikten var kjempefin. Hotellet ligger i rolig strøk,med kort avstand til alle deler av byen.

Very friendly and helpful staff at the reception. Hotel is nice and clean. Rooms are small but nicely decorated. For the amount I paid for the room it was not living up to what I normally get living in hotels around Europe for that price. Guess Edinburgh is just that expensive. However the restaurant staff, I was either very invisible or there was too little to do that staff ignored me. I sat at a table, stood at the bar. I ended up going somewhere else to eat. Breakfast was nice, I was not missing anything. Hotel nicely located and easy to get to from the airport with the tram, only a very short walk from tram station. Calm area and you can walk every. Downside was an elevator was out of service so you had to wait more than you like to.

Clean and comfortable in an excellent location one block from airport tram and bus station. Nice breakfast that included chopped smoked salmon. The efficient and helpful young man who checked us in gave us excellent restaurant recommendations—really appreciated it. Hip, fun, chic style is a plus.
