Family with two teenage boys, we stayed in two bedrooms villa with private pool. The villa was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good variety and fresh, good coffee. We got access to the club lounge, which it was cosy and relaxing and good finger foods.

Always an excellent stay at the Grand Mercure. An oasis in the heart of Patong. Endless food and entertainment only steps away. Outstanding dinner buffets almost every other night, a must-try. Staff absolutely too-notch, helpful and kind. Excellent pool, and swim-up rooms available. Lots of on-site activities, family friendly, shops and a little bar too! Highly recommend hotel.

The property istself and amenities are very beautiful. We booked a room with the pool right outside… and while Thailand has mosquitos I feel like this place offers a tropical oasis inside the city which helps the mosquitos to flock to this area. We had no issues with them just a lot more here and other places. The check in process was quick but unlike any of our other stays when we upgraded the room with free included mini bar… everything here was still a little pricy. I had high high hopes for this hotel and just wasn’t everynting I hoped it would be….. but overall a great place to stay in Patong.

Definitely include the breakfast if you're going to stay here. The pool is excellent and the staff are very helpful. Its also convenient to have a coffee shop in the hotel. There are lots of bars and restaurants withing walking distance and the beach is also a 5 minute walk.

The Grand Mercure is like a sanctuary away from the craziness of Patong. Hotel space is well thought out. Our room (Deluxe Pool Access Room) was fantastic. To have the ability to step from your room into a pool reserved for these rooms only, makes you feel spoiled. Restaurant, pool bar, café and other amenities are a good size and comfortable.

This is a great property which this time seemed to be struggling to keep up with the high season demand. Limited service at breakfast and the frustrating issue of sun beds being claimed early in the morning but hours later still vacant. The hotel needs to monitor this.

Stayed in a pool access room which was great in the heat. Buffet breakfast was amazing. Spa services fantastic. Close to Patong beach, Bangla road, and otop markets just across the road from hotel. Loved this hotel. Will be back again.

Cons. The rooms were very old and we had problems with the high humidity in the room, even though we turn on A/C so much. They provided a device to make it better but it didn't really work well. Could be cleaner. We left after 5 days. I would not stay there for 2 weeks. Pros. Breakfast was awesome. Stuff nice. Location good.

Good hotel, great service. Good location, great breakfast variety and halal options too. However the reason I have given 4 stars instead of 5 is because of how damp our room smelt. Even though the weather was very humid, I've never been to a room that smelt that damp. Also I was surprised by how many activities they charged for in kids club. Alot of the free things in kids club were for much younger children but for my daughter who is 5, would not enjoy those ones as she is too old. The ones she would be interested in are the ones they charge for of which one of them was to paint a clay model and that was more suited for her age. So yeah that was disappointing, charging for kids club activities suitable for older children and having nothing free for them thats suitable for them.

私は6階の部屋に泊まりました。部屋に入った瞬間にカビの臭いがしておりました。 6月の雨季に行ったため湿気が酷かった事もありますが、そもそも部屋の換気設備が悪く部屋の中が異常な湿度になっておりました。ベッドのシーツも湿っており、床は水滴で滑るほどでした。蚊が多くいる為窓が開けられず、湿度が非常に高い部屋で数日間過ごさなければいけませんでした。部屋はカビの臭いで充満しており、湿ったベッドでは熟睡できませんでした。

Great location with lots of local restaurants. 5 minutes walk to Patong beach. Very conveniently located. Staffs are very friendly. Pool area is great. Not too crowded. The only problem is that the humidity makes the floor of your room wet. You might need a dehumidifier.

Great location to Patong Beach, Central Plaza, and Walking street. Very reasonable price point, good food, and friendly staff. Everyone is very accomodating. I would definitely stay here again if/when we return to Phuket. My only recommendation to the hotel is to improve the lighting in the rooms. The lighting is awful.

For a five star hotel, the quality of the room (Superior king bed) was quite run down and could do with a renovation. There's also very little storage space in the wardrobe and the bathroom is small. The breakfast was good though and the location is excellent.

We stayed in a pool access room opposite the pool bar. This was very noisy with both the bar and the kids pool right beside it. I'd suggest you go towards the end of the hotel away from.the kids pool, if you want a quite holiday. The bed was a solid as a rock and the pillows flat as a tack. Liked, the breakfast of a morning was great.

Nice hotel, well decorated room, comfortable bed. We stayed in a pool access room which was great ( although very humid, the humidifier struggle to keep up and needed to be emptied every six hours. Excellent buffet breakfast, great staff especially Panckae ( yes that’s her name ) who did everything to ensure a comfortable stay. Yes this is a family hotel but Management should consider placing families booking pool acces from nearer to the kids pool, and couples at the other end of the hotel as these rooms could be relaxing, as nearby screaming kids means I would not book here again.

The hotel seemed under staffed for the amount of rooms they have. The front desk was difficult to deal with. Breakfast available does not mean included, there was no option to include when we booked so copped a $65 a day breakfast charge. Our room didn’t get cleaned or made up until late on the afternoon, 5-6pm. The pool is tiny compared to what you see in the photos. No late check out is poor given the flight home with Thai Airways isn’t until after midnight, waiting in the lobby for 2.5 hours is a bit of a joke.

The breakfast was good. Staff and customer service was excellent. I requested for a pool access room. Got it for last two days out of seven days but was reached by staff that there is an issue with the pool access room and to ensure my satisfaction they offered free upgrade to a Villa with private pool and it was amazing. The breakfast basket at the pool i requested was simply amazing. Overall, it was a great experience. Check out time is 12:00 which is good and upon request they complimentary extended the checkout time to 2:00 pm. So, a great experience overall.

One of the best stays i've had in a long time. Facilities are great, beautiful pools, bars and spots to eat. Bed is very comfortable and area is primo. But the best part is the hotel and restaurant staff. Huge shout out to Sita, Beer, Orn, Earn, Sprite, Brittany and all the other lovely people that work here.

I can tell they all love their jobs and take great pride in what they done , service like this is very hard to find these days in the western world , hence will be back for sure …. I had a wonderful experience at the Grand Mercure Hotel. It is in a great area close to everything and the accommodations were great. It was clean, safe, they provide a delicious buffet breakfast and even decorated my room for my birthday without me asking. All around great service. Also check-in was very smooth thanks to Alvin. If staying in Phuket this is a great choice.

This was our second time visiting this hotel and requesting a specific room with pool access (cause they are the best there) so..the start was pretty disappointing since they didn’t find our request and offered us a different room since they are “fully booked” we insisted and provided them a proof for our request and than they upgraded us to a suite on 7 floor for one night and moved the night after to the room as requested. Any how we met Sebastian there ( the hotel manager) who changed the total experience for us just by hearing us and even offered a dinner as a compensation..(which was a perfect dinner). So thanks for that and for the kindness of the staff there who really tried and succeeded making our 4 nights there the best holiday we expected to be.

It was all very nice except for people in the lobby that check you in and out. They were by far the coldest people I met in Thailand period. The greeting was cold and the checkout was worst. I was checking out and informed the woman I did not use the mini bar and she made me wait to verify.i used nothing with a cleaning woman in the room. really insulting and then does not thank us for staying 2 weeks. Shame that occurred with the first and last people you talk with at the resort as that's what you remember

We stayed from May 26 to May 30, 2025. When we checked out on May 30, we were asked to wait for 5-10 minutes and staff would checked the room. I guessed that is standard practice of this hotel and I did not have any problem with this. After the staff checked the room, we were told everything is fine. We were good to go. The deposit 3000 Baht will be refunded in 2 weeks. I wrote an email to H8109@accor.com (the only email I would find) on June 21, 2025, no response. I have not received the refund yet.

I can not recommend this hotel enough. Great location but enough removed from main strip that its quiet. 7 min walk to beach, 10 min walk to night markets and shopping centres. Staff were also amazing. I fell ill and they were great and assisted and catered to my requirements.

Grand Mercure is in an ideal location! After a very long night on Bangla Road having fun we were able to walk back to the hotel if we wanted to but we opted for the tuk tuk for the experience. It’s so many food spots and shops around. Hotel has delicious breakfast options. Swim out pool room was a little small but definitely a great feature.

It was a quiet place in the middle of Patong, so that’s rare and lucky to have. Rooms are decent, don’t look like the photos in terms of lighting or size, but they are comfortable. The rooms do show signs of age though, ours had rust, bits of mould, etc. Their happy hour at the pool bar is daily from 4-6, a special menu comes out during this time, it’s buy-1-get-1-free which is good, however, I wanted a non-happy hour drink from the normal menu however they refused to give me the menu, weird but I just the bar staff couldn’t be bothered. The “4 pools” description is misleading, it’s 1 pool with 3 private additional pools only for people who have direct pool access. The breakfast is decent, there is a wide variety of pastries, eggs, noodles, even Indian food etc. The coffee as part of breakfast is awful, every coffee tastes either burnt or just milk. We stayed for 2 weeks and when booking we thought we booked WITH breakfast, upon check-in when we were told no breakfast, we asked if we could add-on breakfast for every day of our stay (2 weeks) for the same rate as what is advertised online, (hotels usually do this no problem however they refused to agree), unfortunately saying we need to pay full price (1400 baht), this is SUPER expensive compared to the rest of Patong. Unfortunately they lost our custom there, we only had breakfast 3 times, all other days we walked a few minutes to other places.

Grand Mercure is in a great location. Street food right across from the hotel, massage places everywhere, money exchange and walking distance to Bangla Road. Locations to book excursions are also close to hotel. The staff is wonderful and courteous. Everything I requested was bought to the room quickly. The breakfast buffet was good a lot of options. My group also did the seafood buffet one night and we loved it. No regrets.

The only thing I did not like was that not one member of staff over my 11 day stay was supervising the self serve food areas at the breakfast buffet to prevent contamination. I personally saw guests handing/eating food and putting it back into the trays. I also saw staff emptying new trays of food onto old food in the trays which should have been cleared first. Guests were put at risk of food poisoning including myself who was ill for 3 days!
