The hotel is spectacular and the staff are amazing. A huge well equipped gym, secure underground parking, amazing breakfast, nice roof top bar and pool, smart comfortable rooms. The only downside is the hotel is in town I’m not such a nice area. The area around the hotel doesn’t look nice. This isn’t a problem though as you would just drive or get an Uber where ever you want to go. You wouldn’t want to walk around outside the hotel, especially at night. I highly recommend the hotel. You get much better value staying there than some of the over priced hotels where you are mainly paying for the view. I will stay there again on future visits for sure.

The staff were nice, the rooms were lovely and clean, the breakfast was good and differed slightly each day. The location is a bit away from anything else but taxis are easy to get about. The roof top pool is more in a bar, so it’s a bit odd to try use it when others are fully clothed having drinks. I wouldn’t go expecting to use the pool at all.

Very nice, central hotel. The staff however needs to be managed better. Our one room was only cleaned 18:00 the one night we stayed there. The Gym was dirty, TV and Aircon in the Gym not set. Doorman upon arrival did not greet us or helped us how the process worked on checking in. While having breakfast in the morning, there are no active waitering staff to help with coffees. When I asked to have a flat White coffee, I was told that I need to pay for it. I paid for a breakfast coffee. The next morning we walked across the road to buy proper coffee atSeattle with good service. This hotel can do so much better.

We stayed at the Rockefeller Hotel Newmark for five nights and left with mixed feelings. The hotel is stylish, modern and well-located, but a few practical issues held the experience back. We had several incidents in our room that needed attention. To their credit, the staff eventually resolved everything, but it took multiple phone calls and repeated follow-ups before things were properly fixed. The willingness to help was there, but the responsiveness wasn’t as polished as it should be. Another frustration was discovering only on arrival that the rooftop pool would be closed for private events on two of our five days. We had chosen the hotel specifically for that space, planning to use it as part of our downtime. Losing access for almost half the stay changed the experience. Guests should be told in advance—before arriving—when key amenities won’t be available. Breakfast was also a challenge. The food hall becomes extremely busy in the mornings, with no real flow or organisation, making it feel chaotic rather than relaxing. The hotel has strong potential, and with better communication and smoother operations, it could be excellent. As it stands, it was a comfortable stay with a few avoidable frustrations.

Great experience at the Rockerfella. The room was spacious and well maintained. The restaurant and breakfast excellent and one of the best equipped gyms I’ve seen at a hotel. Very good value for money. Need to be a bit careful walking around the area though.

The property is very new and the bed is very comfy. Location wise is fine and accessible with taxi around the city. The only minus is that the room was not properly cleaned and there are broke glasses on the carpet.

An excellent hotel! Very clean, with spacious rooms as well as friendly and helpful staff. It was a bit of a mission for us to find hotels that had (proper) bathroom doors - we're happy to confirm that this hotel provides that. :-) We also appreciated that we were able to regulate the room temperature to our likings.

This property was disappointing. We stayed in 3 different rooms in 2 nights. Room 724 had limited lighting and was dark. The AIRCon was broken and there were no USB outlets, so this was difficult for us as foreigners as we had no 220 plugs. We were eventually moved to another executive suite that was a huge improvement, but it definitely complicated our stay at a time when I was feeling ill. We also expected the 11 minute walk to the waterfront area, but it was more like 25 minutes and not an easy walk. Hopefully management will improve some of he executive suites so that others do not have the same experience.

Very nice and clean hotel. Staff is very friendly. It’s the only hotel I’ve stayed in the world that didn’t provide any wash cloth in the bathroom. Also, there was a tv in the room but I was unable to watch regular live tv. When I asked the front desk, they said that you can only watch Hulu, YouTube and Netflix. Except for those two issues , it was a very nice stay.

The rooms are a bit small, and dark. The hotel in general is nice and safe. The gym is decent. Don't walk at night time. You can walk to the waterfront in the day- just stick to the main roads. Otherwise uber is so convenient and comes within minutes.

The hotel is very modern. The room was very clean, but small. No desk/chair for using laptop. Only one luggage rack and no counters for other luggage. Bathroom was super small. Not well designed with a pedestal sink. No place to put toiletries and no bathtub. Shower was nice, but didn’t like only having rain shower head. The water pressure was low. Only two bath towels for two people. No extra towels for drying hair. We went to the buffet breakfast every morning, but not being from your country, enjoyed the different choices. But the food was served in “hot” serving dishes, but was not hot. Only warm at best. There was omelettes being made, but the chef didn’t understand “English”. Unfortunately, ignored us.

We stayed at the rockefeller for a couple of nights. Wwe had nothing but great service, and were well looked after. The room was comfy.i had a bit of a struggle with the shower door, but once i got in, it was divine. The room had everythjng we needed. It was comfy, clean and quiet.

Beautiful hotel, but the check in and check out process has zero flexibility. I waited about five hours alongside about five other guests trying to check in because rooms weren’t ready. I requested late check out about five days prior with zero accommodation. The restaurant is a nice touch, and breakfast is reliable and open every day at 6am. However, I went there for dinner and didn’t get serviced for about 20 minutes. Bit of a nightmare. I liked the location and general safeness of the hotel, but for the most part they seem wildly understaffed. You’ll find about 10-20 people on average lingering in the lobby on a daily basis, waiting to check in. Very busy and active area if you’re looking to relax in the lobby, go elsewhere. Rooms are nicely sized and you can see the mountain from most of the rooms.

We arranged to arrive 1 day early before our organized group tour of S Africa. The hotel on request arranged for private car to pick us up at airport after our international flight. When we checked in early, we learned the hotel was completely full. They had upgraded our room for the night to the top floor’s priority suite. We waited for a few hours in the roof bar and pool area while our suite was prepared for us. When the front desk heard that we were celebrating our 50th anniversary we were surprised to find a lovely cake and delightful card from the staff when we arrived in our suite. Truly exceptional service. Next day we joined our escorted tour and moved to the standard hotel room for the next 5 days which was clean, well appointed with everything perfect. We found all the staff-housekeeping, restaurant, and concierge to be professional and polite. The only downside to staying in the downtown area is safety outside of the hotel. We were warned by the concierge to never walk around alone and we heeded that advice, taking a cab to the beautiful waterfront a few minutes away. The African people we met there are caring, friendly and joyful. So happy we took this trip!

This hotel has a serious problem with staff culture. We encountered numerous problems with staff service levels during our short stay. From staff arguments taking place in front of guests, to being ignored at by both check-in and breakfast staff, to sloppy bartenders and waiters, to the way in which staff address guests. It is clear that staff have not received adequate training and management have failed to inspire staff to perform at their best. We will not be returning to this hotel, which is a shame because this hotel, given the facilities and amenties on offer, has the very real potential to be a premium 4-star property.

Nos deram a chave do quarto errado na hora do check-in, ao entrarmos no quarto percebemos pertences de outra pessoa, voltamos na recepção e nos deram a chave certa. Nos deram a chave do quarto errado na hora do check-in, ao entrarmos no quarto percebemos pertences de outra pessoa, voltamos na recepção e nos deram a chave certa. This could be a great hotel but the reception staff were rude & unprofessional with an "I dont care" attitude - and those are the people you meet first & last. We had a number of request at reception from a few staff but they were unhelpful. I would never stay here again.

Cheguei no hotel onde eu iria fazer um check in antecipado um dos membros da recepção informou que eu aguardasse. Passaram 6 horas e ele em nenhum momento informou sobre o quarto. Era muito mais fácil se o mesmo tivesse comunicado que não iria ser possível uma entrada antecipada. Sendo que tinham quartos disponíveis porque era em um dia sem muito movimento.. The hotel is spectacular and the staff are amazing. A huge well equipped gym, secure underground parking, amazing breakfast, nice roof top bar and pool, smart comfortable rooms. The only downside is the hotel is in town I’m not such a nice area. The area around the hotel doesn’t look nice. This isn’t a problem though as you would just drive or get an Uber where ever you want to go. You wouldn’t want to walk around outside the hotel, especially at night. I highly recommend the hotel. You get much better value staying there than some of the over priced hotels where you are mainly paying for the view. I will stay there again on future visits for sure.

Ganz gutes Hotel. Rezeption sehr freundlich. Morgenbuffet war ok und ausreichend. Das Restaurant würde ich nicht weiterempfehlen, da gibt es besseres in der Stadt. Nähe zum Stadtzentrum war ok, wenn man Uber nutzt. Zum Gehen etwas weit.

The staff are excellent! And the hotel itself is quite nice. It worked out with our stay, we just made sure we took uber from the hotel which is very convenient when we want to go places…But the area where the hotel is located is not safe to walk around especially at night. I will still recommend the hotel because of the staff’s excellent service. Especially for cruisers since it’s near the cruise ports.

The hotel is very modern. The room was very clean, but small. No desk/chair for using laptop. Only one luggage rack and no counters for other luggage. Bathroom was super small. Not well designed with a pedestal sink. No place to put toiletries and no bathtub. Shower was nice, but didn’t like only having rain shower head. The water pressure was low. Only two bath towels for two people. No extra towels for drying hair. We went to the buffet breakfast every morning, but not being from your country, enjoyed the different choices. But the food was served in “hot” serving dishes, but was not hot. Only warm at best. There was omelettes being made, but the chef didn’t understand “English”. Unfortunately, ignored us.

Very nice, central hotel. The staff however needs to be managed better. Our one room was only cleaned 18:00 the one night we stayed there. The Gym was dirty, TV and Aircon in the Gym not set. Doorman upon arrival did not greet us or helped us how the process worked on checking in. While having breakfast in the morning, there are no active waitering staff to help with coffees. When I asked to have a flat White coffee, I was told that I need to pay for it. I paid for a breakfast coffee. The next morning we walked across the road to buy proper coffee atSeattle with good service. This hotel can do so much better.

I had two weeks in Rockefeller hotel as solo traveller for vacations and it was a great choice for longer stay. Hotel itself is in safe area and honestly I think the city does not deserve the negative publicity it gets for safety. I walked around both during day time and evenings alone and did not feel threatened. Hotel, its facilities were excellent with friendly staff that went out of their way to be helpful. Restaurant on the other hand was not that spectacular, dined there few times and can’t say it deserved a four star hotel (tried both sushi and pasta and pizza). For no I g around I have used Uber which was super convenient, affordable and max 2 minutes wait to be picked up. Just a comment, would be nice to have a bath robe :)
