What a lovely little find for a pit stop with the family. Literally 2 minutes off the M5. Staff were lovely and very accommodating. Food was fab (their coleslaw is amazing). Play area in beer garden is very safe and secure, kept the kids occupied. Room was clean and quiet. Thank you 😃

This was an overnight stay on the way to Cornwall. Very pleasantly surprised as the pub is in a beautiful area with lovely walks along a canal. The pub is very friendly and spacious with outside seating. Breakfast was huge with plenty of choice.

We spent a night at The Globe Inn, and really enjoyed it. The room was spacious and very comfortable, the lunch and breakfast were great, and the staff fantastic. The inn has plenty of parking, a large outside beer garden, and a spacious seating area inside, with sport available to watch. We will definitely be back!

We were visiting friends and the location was perfect. There was plenty of free parking available, check in was smooth and our room was comfortable and clean. The owners are currently updating all areas of the property and the areas that haven’t been done yet look tired. Breakfast was very good with plenty of options and we enjoyed a lovely walk along the canal after breakfast. During our stay all staff members were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Stayed overnight after a family funeral on the South Coast. The Inn is around 200 years old and is in great condition. The car park is vast and is free. It also has free wifi. Food is excellent and the staff are extremely helpful and very friendly. They obviously take pride in the Inn as it’s run exceptionally well. Breakfast with the room is a mixture of cereals if you wish but we had a fried english breakfast which is probably one of the best we have had. Very dog friendly so you can get a cuddle from a wagging smiling happy dog which was an added bonus after a long drive and day. All in all we would stay again and recommend to family members, sure you can stay in newer more modern hotels but you certainly wouldn’t get the standards of service or attention. The room we stayed in was a family room which was vast with tea/coffee making facilities and a large flat screen TV. It had a bath with a shower overhead. A very comfortable main bed with bunk beds in an separate area behind for children.

We had a great stay, excellent location the canal is out the back of the car park and is beautiful. The rooms were lovely and clean with nice white bedding and fluffy white towels. The pub was friendly and the breakfast was excellent good produce, that definitely set you up for the day. We would stay again when looking for accommodation in the area.

We stayed here overnight on our way to Cornwall which we have done previously, twice a year, since 2020. We always stay in the same room; The Younger Suite which although adequate is looking very dated and tired now. The mattress on the bed definitely needs replacing as does the flooring in the en suite. There was evidence of a possible coffee/tea spillage on the back of the door to our room which really should have been spotted and cleaned up prior to our arrival. That aside, we are already booked to return in Spring next year as the accommodation is ideally suited for our trip to Cornwall and the staff are all so friendly and welcoming, always willing to have a chat with a welcoming smile.

Breakfast was lovely. Proximity to motorway and parking were good. The room was clean. Dinner could have been better as mine was really overcooked (fajitas). My husbands fish and chips were good. The pub was very welcoming.

The photos gave the impression of superior rooms but the room was tired, needed a new carpet and decorating. Sash windows, road just outside and over a busy bar. Why 4 then? I'm a bit soft. Staff were great, diets catered for and nothing too much trouble. Breakfast excellent.

A comfortable village-inn stopover for those on the M5 or the north Devon link road. Room was pleasantly decorated, spacious and well furnished although bathroom felt a little tired and basic. Breakfast was excellent but dinner the night before pretty disappointing. I would not recommend the fish and chips. Very good value overall though.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was good, especially the breakfast. We stayed in a room with a four poster bed, it was very roomy but Sadly the mattress was too hard for us.

Very hospitable people. Very relaxing stay Great bedroom, very quiet. Super breakfast. Landlord gave us a tube of toothpaste as we forgot to bring some. Would take any payment for it. Offers to to take us to the train station.

Loved our stay here! They made my daughters birthday fantastic. Coming out with a cake and a card in the morning it was fantastic. Staff where brilliant friendly. Food was fabulous for breakfast and evening. It was only 10mins from where we wanted to go. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed overnight after a family funeral on the South Coast. The Inn is around 200 years old and is in great condition. The car park is vast and is free. It also has free wifi. Food is excellent and the staff are extremely helpful and very friendly. They obviously take pride in the Inn as it’s run exceptionally well. Breakfast with the room is a mixture of cereals if you wish but we had a fried english breakfast which is probably one of the best we have had. Very dog friendly so you can get a cuddle from a wagging smiling happy dog which was an added bonus after a long drive and day. All in all we would stay again and recommend to family members, sure you can stay in newer more modern hotels but you certainly wouldn’t get the standards of service or attention. The room we stayed in was a family room which was vast with tea/coffee making facilities and a large flat screen TV. It had a bath with a shower overhead. A very comfortable main bed with bunk beds in an separate area behind for children.

What a lovely little find for a pit stop with the family. Literally 2 minutes off the M5. Staff were lovely and very accommodating. Food was fab (their coleslaw is amazing). Play area in beer garden is very safe and secure, kept the kids occupied. Room was clean and quiet. Thank you 😃

This was an overnight stay on the way to Cornwall. Very pleasantly surprised as the pub is in a beautiful area with lovely walks along a canal. The pub is very friendly and spacious with outside seating. Breakfast was huge with plenty of choice.

A comfortable village-inn stopover for those on the M5 or the north Devon link road. Room was pleasantly decorated, spacious and well furnished although bathroom felt a little tired and basic. Breakfast was excellent but dinner the night before pretty disappointing. I would not recommend the fish and chips. Very good value overall though.

We had a great stay, excellent location the canal is out the back of the car park and is beautiful. The rooms were lovely and clean with nice white bedding and fluffy white towels. The pub was friendly and the breakfast was excellent good produce, that definitely set you up for the day. We would stay again when looking for accommodation in the area.

Breakfast was lovely. Proximity to motorway and parking were good. The room was clean. Dinner could have been better as mine was really overcooked (fajitas). My husbands fish and chips were good. The pub was very welcoming.

This is a great location just off the M5 but feels deep in the countryside. Has picturesque canal walk. Breakfast was traditional with good breakfast tea. Room was comfortable and lots of hot water. Very handy for Tiverton. The staff really make it a great welcome, all very helpful.

Lovely pub superb food! I had an awesome steak cooked to perfection, the breakfast was also very good although sausages weren't of the same standard as everything else. Could use better mattresss in the rooms but okay for 1 night.

Loved our stay here! They made my daughters birthday fantastic. Coming out with a cake and a card in the morning it was fantastic. Staff where brilliant friendly. Food was fabulous for breakfast and evening. It was only 10mins from where we wanted to go. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff were welcoming on arrival and friendly and helpful throughout our 4 night stay. Plenty of parking behind the Inn. We had a twin room which was perfect for our purposes (a double and a single bed) with an ample en suite. Breakfast was great to set us up for days out with a range of cooked or buffet options. There are only a few places to eat in the area in the evening but the Globe has a good pub menu that we made use of. The area is great and we borrowed bikes from the Globe to ride along the canal which is just behind their car park - it is also a very pleasant area to walk along away from the roads with well-maintained paths and wildlife to observe. We would definitely return as it makes a good base to reach both northern and southern Devon coastlines, Exeter and other attractions (we didn’t visit Diggerland in Willand but could easily have reached it. The bar is very busy in the evenings with both locals and visitors, a great atmosphere and closes at a reasonable time so we were never disturbed by any noise. Highly recommended for a stay, whether as a stopover or for a longer stay to visit the area.
