If I could give this negative stars I would!! I booked this through Hotels.com which is always amazing. I had to call them to complain about our room, as well as the establishment. Kurt from hotels.com contacted the front desk was while I was on hold & they were extremely rude to him. Wouldn’t give their name nor speak with him. Said they would speak with us directly & were just as rude to us!! Came into the room & shot down every complaint we had plus told us we should be thankful we had a bed to sleep in. I mean really?? The room smelled terrible & there was some kind of spray to camouflage it. Stains all over carpet, hair in sink & shower. Granted the room was not modern, but it didn’t need to be in order to keep it clean. The pictures online did not match the actual room by far. Would 100% not recommend this to anyone and if I were the owners or even the manager I would look to hire new front desk help. A paying customer should not be spoken to or treated the way we were. They would not cancel our reservation or refund us so we could find a different place to stay, so we sucked it up and stayed the one night BUT we did it begrudgingly!!

Nancy at the front was very nice. Clean room. No pool but fresh tomatoes!

Our room was clean and quiet, staff friendly and the grounds well kept. For an economy stay we are quite happy with this place. Being just outside of Sturbridge, we escape the heavy traffic yet its close to all Sturbridge has to offer.

For check in we had to wait for staff to come from downstairs. The room had only small lights on the celling and one lamp. Poor lighting so you couldn't read. One of the pillowcases had stains on it and so did one bedspread. Only 2 wash clothes for 3 people and one was stained with something, and one towel was stained too. The mattresses were like concrete, and the pillows were so flat you had to double it up to get any kind of support. When we went to check out the doors were locked and we had to leave the key in the drop box. Thank goodness it was only one night's stay. Would not recommend this place at all.

The owners are great- very kind! The hotel rooms are okay. They are dated and could be a little cleaner in some areas. The areas that mattered most like sheets and towels. Those were clean. I think they would benefit from replacing the shower curtains though. Overall for the price it’s worth it depending on what you’re doing.
