Superbe Hôtel très bien entretenu. Service excellent et très très réactif . Un merci particulier pour Roger qui aà fait preuve d’initiative et de réactivité . Grand sens du service. Douche et transats gratuits pour les clients de l’hôtel disponibles sur la superbe plage à 5 minutes

I love boutique hotels and Leyenda is no exception. The grounds are quite beautiful. They greeted us with a welcome drink! We stayed for 3 nights total, family of 5. We had the superior 2 bedroom and the room was good but we did add an extra room after our first night for more space and another bathroom (my fault for thinking the 3 beds/1 bath would be sufficient with two teens). We enjoyed the big pool! Wished it was a bit cooler to be a refresh from the heat, or that a part of the pool had some shade (never thought I’d say that!) We ate 3 dinners here and each dinner was AMAZING! I can not recommend their dinners enough. Warning: the portions are HUGE and very shareable. Unfortunately, the complimentary breakfast buffet was not as good as their dinner. However, the made to order cappuccinos were lovely. We took the shuttle to the beach one day and I highly recommend Playa Carillo as it was the best beach we visited in Costa Rica. Just stunning! The next day we drove our rental car to the beach and back. Overall, I would return here again. For the price, the location and amenities are a great deal. PS. The Asiatic restaurant is not open, which we were looking forward to. Luckily that main restaurant had a large variety and incredible food.

Rooms are modern, quiet and beds are very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was ok, nothing spectacular. Good location, short drive to the beach and sodas. The swimming pools are very nice, the bar was open until late. Parking was at the front. Overall a good night stay.

Nice hotel, not pleased and a shame we were notify or in expedia it did not said they were renovating the main pool! We were looking for a nice quiet stay for our daughter to study during the weekend and us to rest which was not possible due to the loud noises of the renovation plus constructors workers having loud and uncomfortable conversations

Very nicely kept. Unfortunately they were repairing the main pool which is eventually going to be amazing. The personnel was very attentive. Things were very nice and clean. The food was good nice options.

Me and my wife stayed there 9 night and we took advantage of the dining at the facility,food was absolutly wounderful and the portion were generous,the room,pool restaurant was clean to perfection . The staff were wounderful has well and very polite and professionnal we would return in a flash ,we had a relaxing time thanks again

Rooms are clean comfortable beds and quiet. Restaurants both have great food and service! Pools are lovely! Beach amazing, they supply lounge chairs, shower and bathroom. We will be back.

Nice hotel but overpriced for what is on offer especially if you are places in the older rooms above the reception area. Our room was very loud as it was above the restaurant and the screen door feel off. Staff were awesome and moved us to a different room for the second night. Great location and nice grounds but there are nicer options in the area around Playa Carrillo for a similar price.

Wasn't within walking distance of Samara but we had a car so that was ok. Very clean and modern and the pool area was beautiful! Would stay here again for sure!

The property is absolutely stunning and impeccably maintained. The staff are exceptionally kind and attentive, making our stay truly special. Roger at the front desk was a standout—his extensive knowledge and willingness to offer advice and guidance made a significant difference. This is my second time staying hotel is a bit out of town for those who want to be in Samara but also kind of perfect, because you’re away from the fray, and you have ready access to Carrillo Beach, which I prefer The grounds are lovely with beautiful plants. The staff is attentive, breakfast is included , this a very nice step up from an American Hotel breakfast. This is such a nice contrast from those hotels where there are not enough seats around the pool and everybody’s competing; lots of space, a very relaxing place to stay

Absolutely love this hotel! Every single staff member is so friendly and the grounds are beautiful! The restaurant is delicious and we are going to extend our stay because we love it that much! Highly recommend!!
Absolutely love this hotel! Every single staff member is so friendly and the grounds are beautiful! The restaurant is delicious and we are going to extend our stay because we love it that much! Highly recommend!!

Our first time at this resort and we are very happy that we choose. The staff and manager (Josephine) was very friendly. Many thanks to Eddie and Henry the servers and chef who cooked our "catch of the day" for three days on the row. Chelsea,the receptionist helped us booking another 2 days and we didn't have to move the another room. The pools were very clean and the breakfast was delicious. We can't wait to return to this piece of paradise and we highly recommend it.

The property is beautiful. Alberto at the front desk was so helpful and even came out to our car to help with luggage. Josephine, the owner—perfection! So happy to find this gem and be welcomed so warmly!

I love boutique hotels and Leyenda is no exception. The grounds are quite beautiful. They greeted us with a welcome drink! We stayed for 3 nights total, family of 5. We had the superior 2 bedroom and the room was good but we did add an extra room after our first night for more space and another bathroom (my fault for thinking the 3 beds/1 bath would be sufficient with two teens). We enjoyed the big pool! Wished it was a bit cooler to be a refresh from the heat, or that a part of the pool had some shade (never thought I’d say that!) We ate 3 dinners here and each dinner was AMAZING! I can not recommend their dinners enough. Warning: the portions are HUGE and very shareable. Unfortunately, the complimentary breakfast buffet was not as good as their dinner. However, the made to order cappuccinos were lovely. We took the shuttle to the beach one day and I highly recommend Playa Carillo as it was the best beach we visited in Costa Rica. Just stunning! The next day we drove our rental car to the beach and back. Overall, I would return here again. For the price, the location and amenities are a great deal. PS. The Asiatic restaurant is not open, which we were looking forward to. Luckily that main restaurant had a large variety and incredible food.

The property is kids friendly. I think they could of had better choices for breakfast. We order off the menu and there were 6 items in it to choose from. The hotel has shuttle to the beach which is very convenient. We also used the complementary beach chairs and the bathroom at the beach.

This is my second time staying hotel is a bit out of town for those who want to be in Samara but also kind of perfect, because you’re away from the fray, and you have ready access to Carrillo Beach, which I prefer The grounds are lovely with beautiful plants. The staff is attentive, breakfast is included , this a very nice step up from an American Hotel breakfast. This is such a nice contrast from those hotels where there are not enough seats around the pool and everybody’s competing; lots of space, a very relaxing place to stay

Wasn't within walking distance of Samara but we had a car so that was ok. Very clean and modern and the pool area was beautiful! Would stay here again for sure!

Rooms are modern, quiet and beds are very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was ok, nothing spectacular. Good location, short drive to the beach and sodas. The swimming pools are very nice, the bar was open until late. Parking was at the front. Overall a good night stay.

Me and my wife stayed there 9 night and we took advantage of the dining at the facility,food was absolutly wounderful and the portion were generous,the room,pool restaurant was clean to perfection . We had such a great stay. The pool was pristine and great with young kids. Delicious meals and drinks and I liked being outside of Samara in some peace and quiet. Highly recommend

Nuestra estancia en este hotel en Costa Rica fue en general agradable. La limpieza de la habitación fue excelente y el aire acondicionado funcionaba muy bien, lo cual hizo la estancia muy cómoda. También las instalaciones del hotel estaban limpias y bien cuidadas. Sin embargo, el desayuno ofrecía poca variedad para vegetarianos. Además, siempre había solo dos tipos de fruta disponibles, lo cual resultaba algo limitado. La zona de la piscina era agradable, pero había muy pocos lugares con sombra, lo que dificultaba relajarse durante las horas de más sol. La playa a la que se ofrecía el traslado era una playa local, pero no muy atractiva, con muy poca sombra y pocas instalaciones para visitantes. En resumen, el hotel tiene puntos positivos como la limpieza y el confort de las habitaciones, pero también algunos aspectos mejorables, especialmente en la oferta gastronómica y las zonas de sombra.

Beautiful property, wonderful included breakfast. Close enough to Samara to go into town. Did a spa treatment and it was ok, expensive for Costa Rica, and nothing special which was too bad when everything else was so lovely
