Hôtel Château Cléry

Prachtig chateau. Sliepen in de cottage. Sfeervolle hal. Kamer oké. Bedden wel hard en je hoort de gasten in kamer boven lopen. Ontbijt was uitstekend. Goed verzorgd en vriendelijk personeel. Bar was uitgestorven. Duurde lang om iets te bestellen en hadden lang niet alles wat op de kaart stond. Heel erg jammer dat restaurant gesloten is want het is een prachtig chateau met mooie ruimtes en grote tuin. Wat oudere dame bij receptie zou wat vriendelijker kunnen zijn en spreekt ook geen woord Engels.

Beautiful building & lovely garden. Our room was huge & very nice. The staff were very helpful. The reason this is not “excellent”overall is that we were there on a Sunday & the restaurant is closed. That was not a major problem but you do have to drive somewhere for dinner & we’d been in the car all day. We were directed to the nearby coast & it was lovely. But when we returned about 8pm thinking we’d have a drink in the sun in the garden, so the driver could enjoy a drink, the bar was also shut! The receptionist very kindly made us hot drinks but it wasn’t quite the same! We’d return but not on a Sunday ( or a Wednesday when the restaurant is also shut)!

Beautiful property, very clean, grounds are stunning, even a hedgehog on our entry to the property. The gentleman at reception was so warm and helpful. Breakfast was really nice. To stay longer, we would need a fridge in room to keep child's milk etc - although I am sure this is available from reception.

Good parking and quiet. Faded glory which could do with update and improvements. Very few staff . Nobody on bar after 8 pm to serve drinks to guests. Good for 1 night stay only.

Pleasant rooms, all with good views of gardens. We visited during a very hot spell, and room could have been pleasant with an aircon unit, but the fan helped. Good breakfast and a lovely garden to walk through. Visited during a time when kitchen was unavailable, so there was no dinner at hotel. But staff recommendation of restaurant in nearby Boulogne was very good.

Perfect country hotel for a stop over on the way to our holiday further south. Beautiful grounds and an excellent breakfast.

Mooie en ruime kamer, deze lag buiten het hoofdgebouw. Alle voorzieningen aanwezig met het nodige comfort. Ontvangst vriendelijk en veel uitleg gekregen. Sportfaciliteiten aanwezig, mooie tuin.

Château was very pretty, inside was ‘tired’ needs updating, furniture, carpets, curtains, decoration etc.. Room was nice but window was cracked and not clean. Gardens looked unloved but could be so beautiful and you can see that they once were. Staff very nice,kind and helpful. A lovely chateau but is in need of some love.

Ambiance château du XIX ème. Tout est correct, calme, propreté, chambre dans le château donc décor et meubles style XIX eme. Personnel sympathique (sauf 1l . Quelques petits bémol : salle de bain très moderne mais baignoire difficilement accessible. Surtout petite mesquinerie : plateau d'accueil le premier jour dans la chambre avec comme classiquement deux sachets de thé et deux tubes de café en poudre. Pour un hôtel de cette classe on s'attend à ce que ce soit renouvelé chaque jour, comme dans tous les hôtels. Ben non. Rest ecsue la bouilloire. Le soir on descend à l'accueil pour demander un sachet de thé. La le préposé pas sympathique nous donne un sachet et nous compte le prix d'un thé servi en chambre tarif room service. Plainte de notre part au moment du départ pour le prix sur la facture. Heureusement après explication le concierge annule ce room service. Restaurant : joliment décoré, mais repas bon mais bof bof. Scampis froids (et même très très froids en entrée). Puis le choix entre trois plats on ne peut plus classiques : blanc de poulet, rumsteack et dos de cabillaud. Le dos de cabillaud est servi "sec", sans sauce (on aurait pu ajouter une hollandaise ou une mousseline ou même un beurre blanc- que neni). Donc globalement moyen malgré un service très correct.

Cadre extérieur superbe accueil correct mais chambre très moyenne literie vétuste matelas déformé téléviseur grand comme un timbre poste hôtel loin d'être à la hauteur des autres Najeti. Très Déçu

Bruyant, vétuste, Odeur insoutenable dans la première chambre, TV non fonctionnelle, Wi-fi inexistante ... Restaurant effroyable (Foie gras et morilles massacrés par la cuisine). Le seul point positif est le service et un personnel souriant.

De dunne wanden tussen de verschillende kamers zorgte er wel voor dat je de 'buren' kon horen. Met oordoppen prima op te lossen als je het gesnurk van anderen niet wilt horen. Wat wel jammer was is dat je geen koelkastje of waterkoker op de kamer hebt. Maar voor 1 nacht een fijne plek om te ontspannen.

Stunning property in expansive grounds. The room was clean and immaculate. The staff were engaging and super friendly. Restaurant food was extremely good. Would stay again.

The outside of the Chateau is lovely we booked a superior room paying extra to find it was under a staircase to the 2nd floor so it was VERY noisy as people went up and down the stairs avoid Room102 spoke to receptionist about this who wasn’t interested at all, he said “that’s unfortunate “ Which is not the reply you expect due to language barrier couldn’t get much further with Him didn’t offer an alternative or anything Restaurant is ok food very 1980’s in presentation and dated choices I felt it was expensive for what you got Overall we were disappointed

Because it is an old building, there was a lot of squeaking floor sound.

La réceptionniste accueillante et extrêmement courtoise. Le cottage décoration champêtre dans son jus, initialement non choisi mais proposé à l’arrivée du fait d’avoir un chien (même petit). Faire attention à l’eau chaude car pas de mitigeur. Cottage chauffant rapidement par plusieurs radiateurs. Très beau parc environnant. Le forfait de 30€ pour un chien, exagéré n’incite pas à voyager avec son chien.

Sejour decevant malgre un cadre plaisant. Acceuil spartiate par un personnel avare d’explications qui vous laisse trouver votre habitation sous la pluie et au milieu de la nuit. Chambre glaciale sans moyen de la rechauffer. Equipement correct et bon petit dejeumer

Top endroit charmant accueil parfait

The staff is not hospitable or accommodating. A bit snotty. The hotel is full of police who are working on the coast. They have taken over the hotel with their meetings and dinners and drinking at night. Not pleasant. Will not recommend.

Excellent sejour .hotel et accueil tres agreables mais le restaurant etant ferme nous avons eu des repas en bocaux de depannage.pour ces derniers on ne peut que conseiller de les eviter et de changer de fournisseur.cet hotel est neanmoins a conseiller si on veut etre au calme dans un joli cadre a proximite de la cote .

Beautiful hotel in nice location. Perfect breakfast. Lots of old fashioned little french quality touches that you used to there all time 20 tears ago.

My husband and I both loved staying here from minute we walked through the front door or even driving through the gates was amazing . Staff so helpful and friendly . The dining experience was amazing at the Najeti Restaurant. Definitely worth a visit . We will be returning in the near future all being well .

A little sad we couldn’t have our evening meal as the restaurant was full both nights.

Lovely hotel, stayed before. Nice room and beautiful grounds. However this last minute one night stay was spoilt by only being told after we had booked (on Expedia) that the restaurant that night was full. Nearest off-site restaurants are a 15 minute plus drive away (not good after an 8 hour drive). Bar snack alternatives were v poor.

Very disappointed. We booked the restaurant in advance but when we went for dinner it was closed! We wouldn’t have booked this hotel as very inconvenient. Had the hotel been honest with us we would have booked another hotel. Very poor

We both loved this hotel from minute we drove through the gates . Staff extra lovely , helpful anf very friendly . Food excellent especially the a la carte menu dining experience. Hopefully we will return in the near future
