The property was beautiful. There was no one there at first to greet me on reception. Eventually someone was there to assist as I was unsure where to park. An email explaining this before check in would be beneficial. My partner arrived late there were issues with the gate not opening properly causing damage to his wind mirrors on the van! The gate to exit is even smaller. I had to get assistance from the lady in the cafe next to the hotel as my car seemed too wide to exit. In order to get out she assisted by entering the code to the entrance and I exited that way. A bit inconvenient when you are on a deadline to get somewhere in the morning and no staff on site to assist. I enquired about staying an extra night and the lady on the other end of the phone didn’t have booking access to quote me a direct price through them. So advised to just book through a third party.

A really nice hotel in a quiet neighbourhood. It is within walking distance to the university. The room was really nice with a large comfortable bed and a large bathroom with shower and bath. Unfortunately, I stayed only one night. There is no breakfast available, but there are options nearby

Love the quality of the rooms, bit of a noisy road and a bit lonely as there are no public areas or facilities, be nice if cutlery were available in the room as I had to eat an Uber with two teaspoons! Would like wider gates too, almost impossible to get a Range Rover in!

Great little place, own private car park. Quiet, spotless and spacious art deco room. Communication with hotel was promptly answered. Out of the way from main city buzz so no regular buses - have to walk a bit to get trams or buses. Plenty of Uber and Bolt taxis around. Would recommend.

Loved staying at this hotel the room was a nice size with a gorgeous bathroom, coming and going was made really easy, secure and free parking, only 10 minutes walk into the centre, also a great breakfast place round the corner, would highly recommended staying here, will definitely stay again.

A short stay for my fiances birthday, was very nice and cosy, price was very reasonable for what we got, only issue we had was the WiFi wasn’t so great for streaming but we made do with our mobile hotspot. Bathtub in the room was a very nice touch and the large waterfall shower was very enjoyable. Would appreciate if there was a deadbolt on the door, for added sense of security.

The room was very clean and the bathtub was lovely but there is no food at the hotel. There are a few nice places around. The fire alarm went off at 7.30am on Sunday morning so scuppered any chance of a lie in which was why I was staying there in the first place. There was no staff on site to switch it off and it went on for over 30mins. Eventually we switched it off ourselves. I have tried contacting the hotel by email but it is not working. It is a shame as the room was nice.

The room and entrance hall were an art deco delight, clean, elegant and user friendly. The free standing bath in front the bay window and french doors was an interesting departure from the norm particularly as the room had a big en-suite with a huge walk in shower, the peculiarities of interior design!! Overall a very comfortable stay.

We booked here very last minute after being let down by our previously booked accommodation. Great location for us for the University. Rooms are spacious and bed linen and towels were good quality. Changed daily. Nice touches with ground coffee and bikkies. Communication was excellent and parking a bonus. All in all excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Room itself was beautiful and clean with some nice little touches, very comfortable bed nice bathroom with a big bath in the room although it was situated in front of the window which was awkward. No fridge in the the room and only had standard freeview on tv but apart from that it was perfect

I stayed in the Deluxe room yesterday and my experience was awful. I enjoy taking a break and have stayed at many hotels/houses, and Edgebaston House looked beautiful. When I arrived, I was taken to the room, which was beautiful. However, there is no reception after 8 pm, so once I actually got into the bed, I realized that the bed had two different parts and was dipping. The bed is very uncomfortable; I must say the bed is so uncomfortable I didn’t get much sleep. The room itself is nice visually, but the facilities are not in place or don’t work. There was no body wash or toiletries, and the carpet was filthy with hair all over it. The room itself felt like there was no air, and the walls had damp on them. The TV didn’t work besides normal channels. The water left was warm and fluffy. I was going to book another night, but I have decided to go to the Regent, which has a fantastic located directly down the road for a cheaper price and higher quality

Parking facilities good. Room was large and comfortable. Boutique-style hotel with beautiful bathroom and bedroom fixtures. However, it could do with deep cleaning. Skirting in bathroom dusty. Loft windows filthy, totally spoiled room. Stair carpet not cleaned in corners/edges. Seemed very miserable to climb the dark, dusty stairs. No explanation as to the steep, curved stairs to get to the loft. It didn’t feel safe if there was a fire. Only high roof/skylight windows that didn’t open and felt trapped up there so hard to relax .

Fantastic stay, we were given room 14 which was round the back which felt more private and had a massive bathroom and roll top bath. Room was incredibly well put together and the bed was really comfy - would 100% come back next time we're in Birmingham

We had an amazing night away here - I've wanted to visit for ages and finally got the opportunity on my birthday this year. We were given room 16 which is huge and has a gorgeous free standing bath. The room had been decorated with petals and towel swans!! Felt totally spoilt. Appreciated the Cafetiere and ground coffee on the tea tray. Fresh milk in the fridge would've been a nice touch but that's my only quibble.

The room was nice and clean and aesthetically pleasing but there was a very bright green light above our head that kept us awake as well as some rattling sound from a white box in the wall. We were told to call a number for problems but when we called someone said hello in a very sleepy voice and then cut the call. We called again twice but no respone. The room was not sound proof and the floorboards above us creaked ever time someone walked aswell as if someone closed the door or spoke on the ground floor. The room was cold despite turning the temperature to max.

The hotel was safe and nicely done out. Had a ground floor room, so there was some noise from people walking around upstairs and as I was right by the front door, also got all the noise from people coming and going. My daughter's room was at the back, so would suggest asking for a back room for quiet, although she too said she could hear noise from people above. It's not clearly signposted where to park, so that's easy to miss. But overall, we thought it was good.

Really nice room but, directly outside of our ground floor room was a very loud air source heat pump. This was on all night and was too noisy. Above us the occupant could be heard walking round due to very noisy floorboards

Woke up in the middle of night sweating as the room was very hot with temperature 22 degrees Celcius!!!!! Thermostat not working!!!! Called the out of hours Hotel Manager for help who was not helpful.He said there was nothing he could do at that time of the night. A really terrible experience and would like to make a formal complaint about the service!!!!

Unsafe. No manned reception after 8pm meant that when arriving back from dinner, we had no way of getting back into our room due to a faulty key. Out of hours contact number was just not being answered. Absolutely unacceptable.

Room 18. Noisy as it's by the front door. Sinks in bathroom didn't drain. Plaster on wall damaged. For the money, UHT milk is poor when they could provide real milk in the fridges. Main issue we encountered was in the middle of the night a machine outside of the room malfunctioned, emitting a high pitched noise, resulting in a really poor night's sleep. No one is on site to resolve the issue. Rang the contact number in the morning but no one called back. Escalated via hotels.com for a refund but it was declined. Just poor service for the cost of the room.

No one is on site to resolve the issue. Rang the contact number in the morning but no one called back. Escalated via hotels.com for a refund but it was declined. Just poor service for the cost of the room.

Nice room and friendly staff. Noisy guests playing music one night but I called the service number and they dealt with it promptly. Would stay again.

The room was very clean and the bathtub was lovely but there is no food at the hotel. There are a few nice places around. The fire alarm went off at 7.30am on Sunday morning so scuppered any chance of a lie in which was why I was staying there in the first place. There was no staff on site to switch it off and it went on for over 30mins. Eventually we switched it off ourselves. I have tried contacting the hotel by email but it is not working. We booked here very last minute after being let down by our previously booked accommodation. Great location for us for the University. Rooms are spacious and bed linen and towels were good quality. Changed daily. Nice touches with ground coffee and bikkies. Communication was excellent and parking a bonus. All in all excellent. Would definitely stay again.

A really nice hotel in a quiet neighbourhood. It is within walking distance to the university. The room was really nice with a large comfortable bed and a large bathroom with shower and bath. Unfortunately, I stayed only one night. There is no breakfast available, but there are options nearby

Great little place, own private car park. Quiet, spotless and spacious art deco room. Communication with hotel was promptly answered. Out of the way from main city buzz so no regular buses - have to walk a bit to get trams or buses. Plenty of Uber and Bolt taxis around. Would recommend.

Loved staying at this hotel the room was a nice size with a gorgeous bathroom, coming and going was made really easy, secure and free parking, only 10 minutes walk into the centre, also a great breakfast place round the corner, would highly recommended staying here, will definitely stay again.

I would definitely stay here again only a half hour walk into the town close pub near by the hotel so easy for food perfect stay room was lovely we stayed in and loved the bath ,I would book here if I ever got to Birmingham again

The room was stunning - the art deco features were delightful and unique. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Two nearby pubs - The High Field and The Physician - are in a couple of minutes walk and provided lovely food and exceptional, friendly service. Edgbaston House was a highlight of my tour of the UK and highly recommended.

The room was nice and clean and aesthetically pleasing but there was a very bright green light above our head that kept us awake as well as some rattling sound from a white box in the wall. We were told to call a number for problems but when we called someone said hello in a very sleepy voice and then cut the call. We called again twice but no respone. The room was not sound proof and the floorboards above us creaked ever time someone walked aswell as if someone closed the door or spoke on the ground floor. The room was cold despite turning the temperature to max.

The property was beautiful. There was no one there at first to greet me on reception. Eventually someone was there to assist as I was unsure where to park. An email explaining this before check in would be beneficial. My partner arrived late there were issues with the gate not opening properly causing damage to his wind mirrors on the van! The gate to exit is even smaller. I had to get assistance from the lady in the cafe next to the hotel as my car seemed too wide to exit. In order to get out she assisted by entering the code to the entrance and I exited that way. A bit inconvenient when you are on a deadline to get somewhere in the morning and no staff on site to assist. I enquired about staying an extra night and the lady on the other end of the phone didn’t have booking access to quote me a direct price through them. So advised to just book through a third party.
