Would have expected a directory of services booklet in the room. Didn't know what TV channels there was and if we could take room towels to the pool? Also no instructions for the phone, didn't know if we could ring reception? Otherwise room was good. Pool was great. The only downside is that park was a distance from the room.

positives. The family unit had a large bedroom. the unit was clean and given the age of the premises in good clean order. Walking distance to a large independent grocer and a nice cafe for breakfast negatives. the property had some flood damage due to a recent storm so we were unable to enjoy the dining room, maybe on the next trip. the people in the unit next to ours stood at their front door to smoke which would then drift into our room, perhaps a smoking area would be possible.

Great location, staff were very friendly. Unfortunately our children couldn’t use the pool as the heater was broken for our entire stay. Room was spacious & quiet, but the cleaning was average. We returned late one evening to find our room had not been cleaned.

Pros: -supermarket only 2 minute walk away -Picturesque setting complete with duck pond -Indoor pool open 8am-10pm -Comfortable bed -In room cooking facilities -In room bath great for kids -great accommodation rate through wotif -Short drive to Westfield Marion Cons: -No working freezer (out ice-cream spoilt) -Pool closed across the two hottest days of our stay 5 day stay and also the morning of our departure -Overnight security was lacking. The pool got broken into on the last night of our stay. The premises was not alarmed and there was no one on call to report this to. -Very thin blanket on sofa bed, no extra blanket provided for comfort -No follow up as to how the stay was going on the two instances contact was made with reception. The kitche was not fully set as a kitchen. No toaster, no towels provided for the pool. Which stopped us swimming. Ask to provide a security deposit of $100 in case damage occured. This does not happen with other motels or hotels?

The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and seeing the ducks in the pond under the willow trees are so lovely. Not the most disability accessible property, however, and some of the rooms smell a bit musky.

Room very clean and all staff very helpful especially on arrival male staff had eftpos issues and didn’t delay my check in - instead gave me keys and tour whilst on hold. Extremely pleasant experience and will be back for sure! Thankyou

It was quite dated, but it was good value for the money. Only major complaint was the fact that the bed was very uncomfortable and needs blockout blinds. A microwave would also be handy.

Staff were nice on arrival. Room was noisy, lounge was hard and stained, bed saggy, spa well passed it’s used by date. Noises from above were offensive firstly the spa and then after those people moved as their spa didn’t work properly someone took it upon themselves to use the room for a sex romp until the wee hours with periods of loud talking and clomping around the floor. The lock on the door was also insufficient. Cobwebs on the ceiling. I won’t be returning.

St Francis is in a very nice location and the staff are all very friendly and helpful, however the rooms are not sound proof, so we had noisy neighbours on the first night (not too bad) and there was a private function on the second night that kept us awake into the early hours, if you choose St Francis winery's for your stay away from home i would recommend packing earplugs.

Deb went above and beyond for us and I couldn’t be more thankful for her help from check in to check out. The place was comfortable, clean and tidy…. The only down fall was having a shower the next morning almost scaulded ourselves with hot water as cold water tap was broken and wouldn’t work other than that everything was amazing.

My daughter and I really enjoyed our time at your resort. Wehad arrived for my youngest son's wedding and your resort was within 15-20 minutes driving. Our room was good and clean. The staff are excellent, cheerful and helpful. I was unwell while there, not feeling inclined to attend the dining room .. on being asked for a mug for cup-a-soup" and a small meal for my daughter, they stated "no problem" and delivered both to our room. The meals we had in the dining room were really good.. tho a bit large for my smaller appetite, We loved the huge old trees and the available outside tables. If I was better in health I would have used your pool. You had an Engagement party while we were there, but we were not disturbed by noise or preparations. Will definitely keep your resort in mind if needed again or to recommend to others. Thank You ..

The only issue we had with this booking was how long it took for the person checking us in to : 1. stop what he was doing and serve us 2. initially couldn't find our booking and was suggesting tht we had not made one, took nearly 40 minutes to get checked in and after a 5 hr drive we were exhausted and having to go through this was a little too much

The manager.was very rude. The night staff was really rude. We were harassed at midnight, at car park by the manager. Ppl smoking at family area. Very rude staff over all. It seems like they dont know how to behave in a multicultural environment. I complained at the reception but not sure if the complaint will be registered. Expedia miss guided us. Also Expedia is not reliable servise.

We spent one night here and found the room quiet and comfortable. The surrounding grounds were lovely with lawns and large trees. There is a supermarket a few metres away if needed, and plenty of parking on the premises. It was convenient having a restaurant on the premises where we enjoyed dinner.

Convenient, roomy room, good facilities, great WiFi, good restaurant meals and close by local shopping centre. Great service. Plenty of off street parking, however some distance from your room. Regular customer over 30 years

Lots of paint off in room. No access to room service, app didn't work, when I went to get a meal no tables available. Shower very temperamental.

A very nice, comfortable room with spa. Meals were delicious. Room service option could be advertised in room with a menu. There was no information about this and also never saw the pool that was mentioned at check in. It would be good when booking to be notified re climbing stairs with baggage. Not everyone can do this. Also I didn't realise when booking that the breakfast is only served on weekends so that was a tad inconvenient having to organise another option on a work day.

Rooms were comfortable. Microwave would be handy to have in the room. Meal in the restaurant was lovely. Staff friendly and helpful. Setting is lovely, sadly we had noisy neighbors on the 2nd night

We had 1 night in a spa room and the room was clean spacious and the bed was comfortable and the shower and spa very good. Staff were pleasant and our meal in the restaurant was nice with a great range of local wines to choose from.

Would have preferred a second tv in the main bedroom for the people there. Nice room overall. Staff good. Dinner wait was an hour and staff got distracted easily with other things and forgot to bring water, forks, cups and our dinner but we have been coming for years.

We wanted to stay at a winery and found St Francis thinking that this met our needs. Not so as it is not a winery, and hasn't been for 40 years or more, it is really a party and wedding venue which is very tired and in need or a great deal of work to smarten it up. We had booked a superior room but there was nothing superior about the accommodation. The restaurant was mediocre and the meal not worthy of any comment. Would not stay again under any circumstances.

Lovely rooms. Spa, but could not use it due to disability. Lovely, helpful, kind staff. Restaurant was amazing. Lovely swimming pool, but didn't get to use is. Lovely manicured grounds.

Wow staff were terrific, room was awesome, quiet, kookaburras and other bird life, I can honestly say that out of a number of places I stay when seeing family this was by far the best experience. Highly recommended…

The room had a strange musky smell on arrival. When the heater was turned on there was a strong stale cigarette smell produced which indicates the room used to be smoked in. Only 1 of 2 windows opened to air it out. Needing the windows opened due to the smell meant that you could hear hwy traffic all night. The place is old, somewhat maintained but the carpark is a shambles. The bathroom tap dripped all night. The beds were actually comfy so theres a good point. We wont be back however.

Don’t be misled by the name and the pics - this place is right in town and just off a highway. No bucolic getaway this. Room was fine for our needs - but a bit tattered around the edges. We didn’t expect much for the price and were not disappointed.
