It was a place to stay. It was old. The Lobby was beautiful.

The reception staff is friendly and welcoming. The breakfast area is in a loft off the lobby, and is charming compared to most small hotels. The continental breakfast is pretty standard fare. As stated in another review, this is an older property, but clean. The bathroom area is small. The TV remote didn’t work well. Batteries? Or replace it entirely.

The lady at the front desk was awesome. Got in the room and the toilet was plugged before we got to even use it. Called in maintenance and he was pissed off from the time he walked in the door. Tried to get it unplugged couldn't do it. Told us we would have to leave the room and go somewhere else. I said no sir not going to work that way and he just got more asinine about it and walked out the door. Followed him down to the front desk. Talk to the front desk clerk and she said we could stay in the room to which his reply was I never told you you couldn't stand the room which makes him a liar... his name was Matt Jr. Him and I almost got into the fight because he was so rude to me. It is impossible to get another room in this town because of how busy it is so in essence Matt Jr was trying to throw us out without any place to go. Again the front desk person was absolutely wonderful. But it's a shame that she could not get a hold of a plumber to come and take care of the problem it's a very simple task to unplug a toilet. All it takes is a snake. Plunging it normally does not do it. I am very upset at the service that I received from the maintenance crew and the attitude he had when he walked in our door. He did not want to be there and he made it known that he did not want to be there. He was very rude to us. I have never been treated so poorly at any hotel I've been to In the last 50 years. Plus we found out in the morning breakfast is not served till 8:30. That's almost unheard of in our travels. 6:00 to 9:00 is the norm. I believe they don't start till late because that way they don't have to serve so much food because everybody has already left. And also none of the ice machines worked and have not worked for a long time

They have spring beds and they are the most uncomfortable beds. My husband and I were in so much pain from sleeping on these beds. I was also disappointed that the pool had no water in it.

The lobby and breakfast area were really cute and cozy. The employees in the lobby on Saturday were incredibly friendly and talked to each guest at breakfast. Our room looked ok at first but outdated and things were starting to get worn out and broken.

The pool area is a nice place to sit around, but here lately it has been closed.

Clean, economical place to stay. Continental breakfast is Sat and Sun only and a great selection. Great breakfast place next door for weekdays. Pool was well maintained and floats provided. It is next door to a hospital so understand life flights and sirens happen at all hours. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Gentleman who answered the phone was very pleasant. The room smelled like it was just cleaned and was very neat. Ample parking right outside of the hotel. Safe neighborhood.

my stay here was great, I enjoyed the free breakfast in the mornings Saturday and Sunday. Everything was fresh and tasted great. The hotel room was clean and in great condition for our arrival. the whole stay was great and for my daughter and I only it was a safe area. the only down side is the room next to us kept slamming their doors throughout the whole night and it would wake my kiddo up. otherwise the pool was clean and in great condition, we enjoyed our stay.

It was very clean when walk into our room.

The rug was filthy and sticky and left the bottoms of our feet black. The bathroom, although clean, had years of old soap scum on the shower and looked dull. Bathroom door had mold, splattered paint on the wall and very poor dry wall repairs. It was a nice room gone terribly bad.

Hotel definitely needs some work. Bath fixtures were corroded and the room smelled horribly of mildew. AC worked well, but the air smelled bad and felt wet. Breakfast was very good, large selection of fruit.

Found few cockroaches in my room.

No hair dryer. Carpet was sticky and feet got dirty walking on it. Nice breakfast but apparently they only have it on weekends. Beds were okay and it was quiet. Would not stay again.

Staid for only 1 night. It's old school, cheap, Texan own, looked and smelled clean but there where bed bugs.

Location was fine but rooms are dated, carpet is dirty, furniture is old. Linens were clean

The room was clean. The bathroom waa cery small. A little uncomfortable.

Staff was very friendly. Everything no was clean. Super dated facility. beds were very hard and pillows were paper thin. Our deadbolt on our door wasn’t working as well

The look of this property as you drive up is cute. Located just a couple minutes drive from Main street, amazing breakfast café next door and a great HEB just down the road. When you walk into the front office, it looks just like the online photos, very cute and quaint. The staff at this property are incredibly friendly and very accommodating, along w/their adorable feline helper. Sadly, the quaint décor stops at the front office. Guest rooms leave a lot to be desired. We are fine w/basic 'no frills' lodging as long as basic amenities are done exceptionally well enabling restful sleep so you can actually enjoy your destination: 1. Safe, Secure & Quiet Property - Covered! 2. Clean Room - While clean, rooms are very outdated. 3. Clean/Functional Bathroom - Clean but desperately need repair as old stains make it look dirty and lighting is awful. 4. Excellent AC & Heat - Covered! 5. Comfortable Mattress, Pillows & Bedding - THE WORST! The mattress was so hard you can feel the springs. Pillows were OK. The sweet woman at the front desk graciously added two additional pillows in our room, but I wanted to ask for enough to add under our fitted sheet to make the mattress better! 6. Decent Coffee Setup - There was a 4 cup coffee maker w/set up for one morning and should have had enough for 2 mornings. Guest room coffee is never great but wakes you up enough to find something stronger. We will look for alternative options until or unless improvements are made here.

Really liked the pleasant and professional staff at check in. Quiet hours starting at 10:00PM was an added bonus.

Room itself was good, front desk lady was great, had 1 housekeeping lady that was extremely rude & hateful 2 days in a row. 1st time , we were standing outside of our rooms waiting for our taxi & we moved when she walked by& she smarted off about us being there in her way. Paid 200.00 a night to be talked to like i was a dog by an older housekeeping lady. She rushed in our room our last day & started screaming at me when i asked if i could finish getting ready& get out of the room at 10am & check out was 11am. I honestly have never been treated like that at any place we've stayed.

I arrived in Fredericksburg at approximately 1:00 pm. and went to the front desk. The female that came to the desk was the rudest person I have encountered. She informed me that check in was at 4:00 pm. My husband was not feeling well and needed to rest. I offered to pay an additional charge. She refused and said, "I will not let you check in until AFTER 4:00 pm. She tried to tell me the rooms were not clean. There was not one cleaning staff anywhere and not one car in the parking lotI left and found another hotel that was very accomadating and friendly. I DO NOT recommend this hotel. They are not interested in making anyone's stay a pleasant experience.

Check in was seamless. The woman asked about the purpose of the trip and then went on to suggest and recommend some places and wineries to check out. We did most of them and the trip turned out pretty good.

The king bed was super comfy. The sink water pressure wasn't great. We were very surprised to learn that no breakfast of any kind is offered on weekdays, and there were no creams nor sugars in our room with the coffee maker. Also, we were really surprised that the lobby closes at 9:00 p.m. and wasn't yet opened at 9:30 the following morning! However, if you don't mind those conditions, the price was great!

It was nice and quiet. extremely close to main street which was nice. The rooms were comfy.

The motel was very clean. The shower head actually had water coming out of it instead of spitting like most places. The staff was friendly at check in, during the breakfast and at check out. The motel was maybe a minute or two from the downtown area and was quiet. We will definitely use this as an option in the future.

Location is good, short drive to main street. The property needs to be updated, older property. 2 stars just for being convenient to center of town.

Enjoyed our stay. Historic downtown was only a few minutes drive away. Very friendly staff. Bed was comfortable and room is clean.

The location was convenient to the hospital. But, it would have been nice if there had been breakfast available during the week. Which was one of the reasons I chose this hotel. But, so be it.
