Quality Inn Covington Downtown

Nowhere mentioned is the fact this is a motel..or that they're isn't enough parking for the facility and you have to park across the street. I suppose i should feel safe that it's between a bank and a church... it's what i get for not doing more research on a place. Also...the floors are squishy...and the smell of pinesol is so strong that it gives the impression of clean. Do not recommend.

Comfortable room. Fridge went out, but Jack at the front desk had a new one the next day. Everything else worked great. A little pricey, but worth it when you've experienced the other options in town. Great customer service. Will stay again.

The air condition unit was ripped out from the wall. The one day it got warm, it was very hot in that room. The room was very dark. We had to ask them for a bulb to replace the one that was not working. My son went ahead and replace it himself. The stairs and balcony very dirty.They were replacing the floors of the empty room below me. They were parked in the only handicap parking space they had. They worked on the room until 10 pm. When i called the office at 9:30 pm, he told me he will have them hurry it up. No respect for guesr space. I heard a noise and a man was standing in front of my door on the phone, smoking a cigarette. The manager and staff was very nice but they need to get the place in order and remember that people pay for the convenience of that space.

This hotel is old and needs a lot of renovation. There was a coffee pot in the room but no packages of coffee or cups. The bathroom was nice and had nice towels but no cups. The bed was comfortable and clean. The AC worked fine! Also there was no place to walk my dog and I had to walk across the street and down a ways from the hotel to find a place.

I really enjoyed my stay, it was convenient to beautiful attractions that was a short walk. Had sidewalks the way there not to mention it's right there in the historic town with amazing buildings restaurants and so many unique stores. The inn had an extra parking lot across the street very safe and quiet. Had some great pizza at Michaels. Room was clean smelled great the water was hot and the bed was so nice had a very rested sleep. What a calm town love it! Breakfast was great...owner was great...I don't know why so many bad comments! Thank you

It was close to Lake Moomaw. Parking with a boat is a little tight. But the ownwer worked with us and made it work, He is a great guy!

Stayed there before and it was a good stay. The WiFi and cable were very good and the bed was comfortable. The price was right as I got it through a discount web site. They had eggs and other stuff for breakfast. There also coffee in the room along with a micro-fridge.

Not bad on the outside, though you have to go across the whole town to get to it. However when I got in my room, it smelt like smoke and there were clear burn holes in the comforter… and the sink didn’t drain in the bathroom.

Im very upset had to leave and ger another room because ot said it has washer dryer it did not. Nor did it have vending.

The room i had was great, beds were comfortable. I got to check in early so i didn't have to wait to check-in. Loved the shower.. the bad , no washing facilities available, the breakfast buffet could have been alot better , not much to choose from. Had only salt no pepper.. no fruits , breads or beagles.. i could go on.. too much to type.

This was probably the most disgusting hotel I've ever been to. The hotel room was so dirty and gross. It smelled like puke. There were ants climbing up the walls even on the second floor. You could tell the room was not well cleaned at all. There were stains on the sheets. The common areas of the hotel had clutter and personal stuff that presumably belonged to hotel staff. There were no cups for coffee. There wasn't even anyone at the front desk when we tried to check out. Not that Quality Inn is a high end hotel, but I was surprised a Quality Inn was this bad.

Letter just say its dirty. The laminated floor panels are peeling off the floor. Smells like smoke in here. Needless to say i will never stay here again.

There were hairs in the beds, the bathroom was small and dirty.

Room is super dirty. Stayed for a week and asked for extra towels but never received them. Didn’t bother asking again for them. Bathroom tub and floors looked like they weren’t cleaned. The bed sheets and pillows smelled dirty. As if they weren’t changed out or washed. I wouldn’t stay here again if it wasn’t an emergency.

The floor had gaps and cracks between the boards, the room just felt dirty in general and a strange smell. I felt the need to check the bed covers for stains and fresh sheets because it would not have surprised me if there was bugs or soiled sheets. There was a cigarette hole in one of the comforters.

Room smelled of cigarettes, even though it was non smoking. Everytime you turned the water on it smelled like sewer. Bed sheets were dirty as well. Overall horrible stay

The bathtub was dirty had to ckean it before granddaughter coukd use. The curtain for the window was broke my husband had to fix so we could close it. The door woukd lock but was a gap thar you could see light from outside coming in the room

It was horrible and we were treated horribly by management when I pointed these things out to him I was told to contact Expedia. There was nothing he could do. Our food ruined because the fridge didn’t shut and they had a block propping it so we didn’t move the fridge and he came in and pulled the fridge forward and it shut. It was propped up on a block so I didn’t feel it was safe to move. There was black mold all over the curtains. Both myself and Son woke up sick. Couldn’t breathe and had to take Benadryl. There was trash that the maids piled up in a shopping cart right outside our door so the our area smelled like trash. The walls were dirty. It was absolutely disgusting and way of price for the amount of money we paid. That was like a $60 night motel quality. I just went through a mold detox and have been sick since we left there.

Booked during Father's Day week. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast average. room older and a little musky but clean. High humidity, poor ventilation in bathroom contributing factor to muskiness.

I liked the size of the room and full size bed. I liked that it did not have carpet. The desk chair was awkward to move to get to the refrigerator. The arms kept it from being pushed under the desk. Put desk on other side of bed near heater Giving space for the nightstand, refrigerator and ironing board to go on the side closest to bathroom.

Service was good. Room was OK - smelled kind of musty, had no chair to sit and the toilet ran at night. Bed was good, shower was good, towels were good - had a fridge too.

It is a nice hotel with great prices. One big problem is you can hear the person upstairs moving around.

The room was 80 degrees, and the air conditioning wasn’t turned on. The air conditioning unit was making all sorts of noises throughout the night.

Our stay, here was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms were very nice.

Weird smell, power switch for bedside light also controlled overhead light which made it impossible to sleep and conveniently charge phone, no channels on TV (got “no signal” error message)

We did not like having to sign in to Wi fi everytime we were in our room. After having gone out. Also we were 1st floor and people in room above us had noisy footsteps at 5:30 am and woke us up.

Check in was smooth and easy.

Mike was the man. We were down to fish moomaw lake. He made sure my boat had a spot to be charged and provided a cord. He also woke up at 4:30 am to make us breakfast for the day. Awesome trip.

prices very cheap for a long stay, very nice room and comfortable bed. staff was so nice and helpful!!

Customer service is great and free breakfast.

First of all the front desk clerk has no personality. She was rude and does not even smile. I have to ask her to at least smile and say Hello ...Hi... or something. The place is a dump...smelly and my room was disgusting and smelly. The breakfast was gross....coffee was cold, and the eggs looks so dried up and no one around to ask question. The whole dining room was terrible and trash and old dishes were all over...DISGUSTING PLACE..

Property is a bit dated, but spoke with the manager and they are working on it. Very nice gentleman who was very attentive to our needs.

The staff was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable on the property.

Front desk agent was super friendly. Not a bad spot to stay if you are passing through and what a great price!

I repeatedly had issues with the lock and key to my room (203). A trip to the lobby was required 2 of 3 days. “Well the light on that door doesn’t work so you have to listen for it to unlock.” I was told both times so they are well aware that a guest will struggle with that room. The first night the night clerk came to the room with me to assist, which I appreciated. The second night was just a reprogram of the keys, reminder to wait 2-5 seconds for the lock, & to listen rather than look for a green light from the disinterested clerk. The room itself was fine for the price point once I was able to access it.

Great place for me to stay for work being so close!

It's right on Main St. Convenient to get to shopping/food. Its so clean and the beds are comfy. Pet friendly as well.

Right Downtown!

My husband and I needed a place to stop for one night on our way to a family reunion on Thanksgiving Day . We wanted something economical so we chose the quality inn. I liked our bed! and the pillows were very comfortable. We chose a room with a king bed and slept very well. I was not expecting a large fancy room! We wanted the economy of a more compact room and were not disappointed. Everything we needed was there but in a compact form. I liked the overall cleanliness we found. There was no armchair in the room but instead we had extra floor space which I personally prefer. We appreciated the courtesy of the staff. This was on Thanksgiving Day and the gentleman that served breakfast was very accommodating with keeping the eggs and sausage fresh and hot. He even fried my waffle for me as well! There were yogurt, fruit juices, and a nice selection of cold options. I am writing this several days later and cannot remember precisely what options there were besides what I ate personally. The neighborhood did not seem trashy. As we drove away in the morning, we passed smaller houses but things were well kept and peaceful looking.

Spent night prior at quality inn in w va that was very nice ,so wasnt hesitant to book in Covington Va. For 120.00 it was awful. Small, very dark in room. Bathroom not clean. Grounds dirty and people hanging outside that looked like they lived there. Breakfast was pretty much nothing and what was there was not good. It was late and we were tired otherwise would have left. Go elsewhere.

The bathrooms are TINY. be prepared. The food was NOT good. Like the pancake syrup container was stuck to the tray and we were the first people there. The syrup also tasted like it had soured. The bread for toast was in the bread bag just all wrapped up no tie or anything. We ended up getting the kids McDonald's

The proprietor bent over backwards for guests. He got up and made coffee early for cyclists who had an early event and hemade sure hotel guests had a full breakfast.

This was by far the most disgusting hotel we have ever stayed in. From Filthy rooms, to NO breakfast and nasty, rude staff. The doors didn't close properly, the bed linens were stained. There were holes in the ceiling. This place should be closed down. The only reason we stayed was because it was non refundable.

Definitely need to update their breakfast area and buffet options

The person who checked is in was very nice and gave us a great dinner recommendation. Our room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The only issue we had, which seems to be common based on Google reviews of the property, is that breakfast wasn't ready by the time we intended to leave. We were told that breakfast would be available at 6. We saw the lights go on there at 6:50, but when we came in at 7, breakfast was still not ready. W ended up getting breakfast elsewhere.
