Worst experience ever. Poor reception staff and unhelpful. Lifts not working. Gym is building site obviously for quite some time Spa not wotlrki g. Room dusty. I checked out within an hour of arriving. Told abruptly by staff nothing would be refunded. So left losing over EUR1,200 ... Promotion of hotel is misleading and I am now considering options on steps to take.

The property is very nice, rooms are spacious and bed is very comfortable. Location is a bit sketchy to walk alone at night time, but it is a safe street where the hotel is located and you have 2 good dinning options in that street. Gym was out of service which I wish they would have put it in their site, since that was one of the reasons we picked the property. Overall it is a good option if you are looking for room comfort. ( which towards the end of this trip we needed a comfortable bed)

The wyndham grand is a nice hotel. The pool is very cold, i wish they would warm the water because as it is, it was practically impossible to swim in it. Other than that, the breakfast was not ok also.

Die Unterkunft liegt nahe zu Omonia, eine der unsicheren Gegenden in Athen. Zudem ist direkt neben dem Hotel ein Kreisverkehr, welcher auch Nachts stark befahren ist, das heißt viel Lärm. Das Pool ist nur von 11-19 Uhr geöffnet und es sind nur 8 Personen gleichzeitig erlaubt. Das erschwert diesen überhaupt nutzen zu können. Das Gym ist ein kleiner Raum mit 4 Cardiogeräten, einigen Kurzhanteln und 1 Multifunktionsmaschine. Das Spa hatte leider ebenso Öffnungszeiten, welche für Touristen, die die Stadt besichtigen, nicht besuchbar sind. Wir waren bereits in einem Wyndham Hotel in Deutschland, welches um sehr viel mehr zu bieten hatte.

The staff and lobby were great and beautiful. It was our honeymoon so they complimented us with chocolate strawberries and a bottle of wine which we greatly appreciated but honestly the room was not clean. The floors were dirty and the bathroom had unfinished walls and the flooring was terrible and not nice, where the shower was completely open to the toilet area also. Idk who designed the rooms but they should be fired. The room was dirty and the shampoo and body wash were empty. The pillows were also wayyy too fluffy like two pillows in one. My neck was killing me. The bed was two made into one. Would probably not come back based on the hotel rooms alone. The staff and service were great. The room was just not it at all

The front desk lady was very rude. when we checked in. The shower had Mold. I have pictures from check in date and check out date. I asked them to clean it they never did. We showered in the tub. It was horrible. I will never recommend or stay there again. I should get all my money back. Because that mold could cause health issues down the line.

My son got bitten by bedbugs from a rollaway bed and we moved four times because the air condition was not working the first night. We had to sleep with the windows open and listen to the loud sounds of the street finally on the second day, they put us in a suite after moving for a fourth time. The staff was lovely obviously the front desk was not at fault for the air issues or the bedbugs. Without those serious issues, I would’ve given it an average rating. I thought the rates were pretty high for outdated worn out furniture and carpets in all of the rooms. I expected so much more for a Wyndham, but learned they are independently owned. Horrible way to kick off our vacation.

Terrible cleanliness and disappointing housekeeping. I did not want to believe the poor reviews but after witnessing this on my own I can tell that it was very sad to confirm the state of the rooms. The shower had mold build up on the edges of the glass walls. Mold and dust were noticeable present on the room walls. Dust was visible on several surfaces. The fitness center was very poorly maintained and it was extremely hot.

We were so disappointed in our Athens hotel stay. The room was advertised as 5 star and it was really tired and dirty in areas. The bed leg was broken and the whole bed was worn and scuffed. The bedding was pulled and torn. This was not a comfortable sleep due to the lack of leg at one corner. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor and was dirt and mould around the seal area and drain area. There were hairs all over the bathroom floor. The bathroom counter was covered in marks along with the bedroom table area. Although the neighbourhood is outwith the hotels control, I felt unsafe. There were adult worker shops all around the hotel with constant clients coming and going. There were used needles lying in the streets and I walked passed a drug user using on the pavement outside. The manager changed our room due to the damage in our room, although I had asked for a refund so that we could move hotels. She explained that this was not possible, due to booking with a third party and that we were welcome to leave. We loved Athens itself, but wished we had never booked this hotel as it never delivered what was advertised.

The best Acropolis view from my room and the roof top restaurant. Excellent front desk who let us check-in early at 1 pm. Staff in the restaurant were also very good.

I don’t know what needs to happen to have a star taken away from this hotel but it is 100% not a 5 star. Our air conditioner did not work properly and despite 6 phone calls in 3 days to the front desk no one ever came to look at it or fix it. The area was not good for walking, felt extremely unsafe and we had to take taxis everywhere due to not wanting to walk around the neighborhood. Also beware that if you have a room on the 8th floor you can hear chairs from the restaurant on the 9th floor being dragged across the floor when you are trying to sleep. The only redeeming thing was that the room was nice and big and it was clean and we did have a beautiful view of the acropolis. But honestly not worth it for the zero service, bad location and no air conditioning.

It is best to not walk around the hotel as the walk can be unpleasant. It is best to take metro or taxi to other places. Our rooms were clean, but the toilet was leaky and the shower door was not sealed properly which produced a huge puddle of water everytime we took a shower. Also our coffee machine was cracked.

Great place to stay in Athens. Loved the rooftop bar the pool and the location. Close to Plaka and the Acropolis. It’s. 30 minute walk. Very kind and discreet staff. We arrived at 1pm and they had a nice room on the 6th floor all ready for us.

An aging queen…our first room had leaky ceilings in the bathroom. Our second room could barely get WiFi..they last saying they’d reset the router but that never worked. The room keys had to be renewed every day and the front desk staff was half surly/half pleasant. The breakfast was the same every day and the eggs were luke warm and tasteless. On the plus side, the restaurant staff was very friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff were amazing. The bell boys were also very helpful.

Location was good easy to walk everywhere, staff unfriendly, restaurant very slow service. charge for illy pods in room. gym closed. Spa services very limited guest services person told me to do my homework on tours to take. Overall it was just ok but I had expected better. Booked an executive room and it was small not executive great Vietnamese restaurant just outside hotel. Location was good easy to walk everywhere, staff unfriendly, restaurant very slow service. charge for illy pods in room. gym closed. Spa services very limited guest services person told me to do my homework on tours to take. Overall it was just ok but I had expected better. Booked an executive room and it was small not executive great Vietnamese restaurant just outside hotel. Worst experience in Athens! Absolutely horrendous. I asked politely THREE times for them to clean my room. House keeping for some reason miraculously forgot to clean my room while they were doing the floor. Shocked as how that can even happen. I did not pay for a disgusting used room, with no clean towels. I cannot believe even after telling front desk THREE Times, they would be so inconsiderate and unprofessional and not do the very basic minimum. How hard is it to ask the cleaning staff to clean your room???? I even had the sign up outside my room saying “Makw my room”. I don’t know how awful you have to be as a hotel to not take care of basic things like cleaning a room and supplying fresh towels. They claim they are a 5 star hotel? I would give them 2 stars with awful Customer service. Had this been in any other country, staff involved would be fired. But I guess this is Greece where incompetence is the name of the game. Absolutely disgusting experience and really sad to go through it. I was going to stay for several more days at this hotel - bit after this experience, I am done and will never return. I will also let everyone I know what an awful hotel it is and to not stay here. Hotels pay an arm and a leg to get repeat customers, but this is the way to loose them forever. Shocked at this experience and will never ever stay here again.

The Hotel was great and had an amazing view from the restaurant and pool area on the 9th floor. The staff was excellent. Livian was very helpful during my check in and provided me with good information about sites and directions. Nicole was friendly and provided great customer service. Vasiilis was very professional and helped me to resolve my situation at check out.

Great hotel with great view from roof top restaurant of Acropolis. Nicki the concierge was very helpful and the Mironi restaurant across the street was fantastic (better than what we had in the old town dining district). Rooms were clean and bed was great. Short distance with hop on hop off bus to all the sights in old town Athens.

Reserved room, but there was no room upon arrival! This property has a lot of pluses, but there were significant issues. I arrived late at night and was told they didn’t have room for me and put me in a “Sister” property. The other property is inferior: noisy room faving the street, located in a bad neighborhood - walking there at night, and I could go on. The inconvenience of being shuttled to another property, the noise from the room – all added up to a horrible experience. A discounted rate would have been the minimum compensation, but instead they upgraded to a higher floor. Also, they have a beautiful pool, but they close it early in the evening and don’t open it until late morning – allegedly, so people in the restaurant are not disturbed (there are other times that the pool is open when people are eating, so I don’t think this is a valid reason).

Had amazing views of the Acropolis from the rooftop. Staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the hotel was located in a bad area with homeless and drug activities. It is best to not walk around the hotel as the walk can be unpleasant. It is best to take metro or taxi to other places. Our rooms were clean, but the toilet was leaky and the shower door was not sealed properly which produced a huge puddle of water everytime we took a shower. Also our coffee machine was cracked.

This is a large hotel that services conferences, cruise shipsand couples like us. It is well run and and the rooms are spacious enough. There are a few very good dining options very near by too. While the area might be scruffy to some we walked around it and found it interesting. Also there is a metro stop very nearby that is convenient to use that takes you to museums and the Center in about 10-15 minutes.

Great location for immediate access to subway. Its not too far from the Acropolis, museum, and palace. Staff is very friendly and helpful with any questions you might have. This is a good hotel if you’re doing a quick Athens stay or have a cruise as many people like myself were using it for both reasons. The offered breakfast has a great selection on the rooftop with a beautiful city view of the sights.

Great place to stay in Athens. Loved the rooftop bar the pool and the location. Close to Plaka and the Acropolis. It’s. 30 minute walk. Very kind and discreet staff. We arrived at 1pm and they had a nice room on the 6th floor all ready for us.

Excellent location. Right next to the metro. Very helpful staff. Breakfast buffet is extensive. Recommend heading to the breakfast place before 8:30 to get an excellent spot and avoid the high rush. Breakfast with a view of Acropolis. Plenty of restaurants just outside the hotel. Highly recommend MIRONI, just outside. Beautiful view of the acropolis. Highly recommend splurging and booking a room with a view. It was a lot of fun for me and my son to locate our hotel and room from both acropolis and lykabettos hill!

Pleasant modern hotel popular with groups. Great roof top views. Breakfast and cocktail hour were busy with inadequate staff to serve and oversee. Surrounding area is rather seedy, but there were two great local restaurants nearby. We tended to get Uber into The Acropolis area.

This hotel is in a very bad area of town. There’s slums and condemned properties all around, but that is most of Athens, honestly. The room was great, but the shower and tub flooded and we were moved to another room. That flooded as well from the shower. It’s rundown, BUT we felt safe and the staff was great. The metro was located across the street so we could travel to all other areas of interest.

Room was clean and staff was friendly enough. There was one night where we went for a drink at the bar and it apparently was a private party and we were told to go downstairs to the bar after a staff member engaged us in a nice conversation about a particular alcohol. when we went down stairs that bar was apparently also closed as no one was there. when we asked the desk staff they said that the bar was closed yet drinks did finally come down to us. It did appear that staff was not well informed during 2 conventions.

Unfriendly Receptionists, dirty restaurant at the bent house, I saw cockroaches under the table for three days in a raw during the breakfast. Old furniture. The towels stink. All in all it was not worth the high rate I paid for it. I will not stay there again for sure.

The hotel was nice, but only one of the three restaurants listed were open. The description of time to get places was definitely off. If you book I would double the time they list on the hotel sites to get places.
