Front desk person was incredibly rude. Didn’t greet me at all upon arrival. I stood in front of her for four minutes before she spoke to me. The cleanliness of the hotel overall is not good. The pool area burned our eyes so bad we couldn’t even enjoy it. My card was also charged $30 more than what is stated on the receipt. Wouldn’t come back here and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Chlorine is soooo strong in the pool, you can barely breathe, eyes instantly burning. Breakfast was gross.

Good for a nights stay. Hot tub and pool were working so the kids enjoyed that.

This property is perfect for an overnight stay if going to the airport early in the morning. The shuttle was very convenient. The pool is also nice with a hot tub which was very nice to relax in.

Great place to stay, next to the Quik Park, with scheduled shuttle runs to Detroit Metro.

On the listing it says free parking and airport shuttle. Not the case at all, when they told us it would be $75 for up to 6 nights (we only needed 4), we said your listing said it was free. She goes “ya, we don’t have control what it says”. We choose that hotel due to that amenity and it was disappointing how they responded. Was the hotel clean, yes. Would we stay again? No.

Return costumer. Easy parking at the parking lot beside with shuttle service to/from the airport.

The jacuzzi had so much chlorine that most of my family got sick and the stuff was very nonchalant about it even when I called corporate it was disregarded I believe we had chorine poisoning and the front desk said they tested the water but I know it should read for less the the pool the general manager said it tested correctly but me and my 8 yr old throw up and my to cousin throat and chest and throat was burning we checked out a day earlier

We stayed at the hotel the night before an early flight. The shuttle service to the DTW airport works very well. This was the most important thing for us.

Upon check in, the lobby, all common areas, and the hallways reeked of marijuana. Not cool for a smoke free property

We had to take our daughter to a doctor due to bed bug bites.

Checking in was easy and the room was clean. However by 10pm I noticed a strong smell of weed entering my room. I called front desk and they said they would check. By 1am the smell was so strong I could not sleep. I called front desk several times until the lady said she couldn't see which room it was coming from as it had permeated throughout the hallway. By 2am I packed my bags as the smoke was throughout my room. I checked out and Tara at the front desk gave me the card to call the manager to be compensated. I sat at Detroit airport from 230 am until my 7am flight. I tried calling the manager the next day and tge line was constantly busy so I tried through expedia who said the manager declined to compensate. So if you like your room full of smoke then this is the hotel for you, but not for me

Very clean

There was trash on the floor in the room. The beds were the very creeky because there were no box springs. Very noisy during the night - horrible. We specifically chose the suite because of the couch and extra t.v., and the t.v. did not work. Very disappointing. Paid extra for something that didn't work.

Not a good experience this time around. I normally stay here for the park and fly package as its so convenient to hop next door to Qwik park. The room was a bit dirty on arrival (counter tops not clean, hair on the sink) The room must have been above some machinery as the bed was shaking almost all night and I could hear a noise below.

Very outdated and the bathroom needed a deep clean. Pay 20 or $30 extra and stay at a decent place.

The first room I checked into absolutely reeked of marijuana. I asked for a new room immediately. I received a new room quickly, but it was a handicapped room, which I do not like. I talked to another guest at breakfast the next day while we were waiting 15 minutes for eggs and sausage patties. She had almost the exact experience. Mine was first floor, hers was second floor so there were at least two rooms that smelled STRONGLY of pot.

In our opinion, we recommend that you do not stay at this Fairfield! We stayed here for 4 nights and this is one of the worst Marriott properties we have ever stayed at. The air conditioning unit in the room was so loud and rattled so much, that you could not sleep or hear the TV without turning the volume way up. After 72 degrees, the heat comes on! Either super hot or super cold. The thermostat does not have a separate setting for heat or cold. We asked about changing rooms but the maintenance man said all the a/c units in every room are just as loud. The pillows were so soft and thin, we woke up with headaches every morning. The mattress was also too soft. Pillows, mattress and a/c unit needs to be replaced. In 4 days, we noticed that housekeeping did not vacuum the carpet in the hallways and the elevator. Carpet is old and stained; also needs to be replaced. Breakfast, although complimentary, is far below what you would expect and is less than what other hotels provide. Breakfast ends at 9:30am but they started to take items away before 9:30am. Even the front desk staff said “don’t expect much” so we went to Bob Evans right down the street and it has a great breakfast all day. Coffee was good and they have a coffee station set up at 4:30am. The rooms do not have a safe to store your valuable items. Overall, this property needs major updates and new management. We would not stay here again. There are many other hotels near the airport.

The only thing I didn’t like was that all the pillows were mushy. I like firm pillows.

The beds are very comfortable. We had a walk-in shower. No towels in the pool area, though.

AC was loud . Other than that it was pleasant

Room was nice, bed was comfy but sleep was difficult due to the airplane “jets” flying overhead late into the evening and again around dawn ~10min.

The room furniture is outdated Uncomfortable beds, along with a flat and dingy down comforter, I was not sure if they were clean. The breakfast was the worst, very limited options, cold eggs or a dry egg and cheese sandwich, old fruit, coffee and no creamer.I could go on. To say the least, the Fairfield needs some improvements.

Room was great only thing in room 132 light from the parking lot comes through alot and ot can interfere with sleep other than that hotel was great.

The front desk staff we encountered offered stellar customer service, answering all of our questions. The employee who was responsible for the breakfast was very friendly, and made sure that all offerings were well stocked.

One person on front desk wasn’t enough for busy hotel near airport

Well, to start, the elevator was not working. I requested a room on the first floor (I have a new hip and use a cane) and you would have thought I asked her to give me her kidney. If I had to pick a word, sour. Very sour personality and unmotivated. The room itself was very clean, the TV worked in and off. Not awful, I was only there one night, but I definitely won’t be staying at that property again.

I loved the property, very clean and comfortable. Very convenient to the airport. The check in person on the afternoon of September 23 was not pleasant, she did not display the friendliness and respect that represents Detroit. I was quite disappointed because I was in Detroit for a funeral of a loved one and I could have used some kindness.

The front desk person who checked us in was not very welcoming and showed indifference in interacting with us. When we asked a specific question about shuttle service to the airport, she would not respond. Later, we were attempting to print our boarding passes, but the printer was not working. We notified her and asked if there was anything we could do with the printer and she gave us an option which did not work. She offered no additional support for the inoperable printer. Also, there was no mention on Expedia that there was a charge for parking. We did like the convenience of the location and the shuttle service to the airport.

After being rerouted to Detroit from Chicago on my flight, due to weather. My wife made a reservation at this hotel, and when I went to check in, they said they’d given my room away. My wife didn’t make the reservation until nearly midnight because of all the delays, and by the time I got to the hotel after getting my luggage, it was after 1:30 AM., and I desperately needed sleep…. But I did not get a room!! I had to sleep in the hotel lobby!! I am now trying to be refunded for this room…so that’s just more work on my part to get this rectified!

Lady working front desk was terrible. Returned from dinner with room access card, but not sleeve and could not remember exact room number. Ask front desk lady politely she wrote down the wrong number sent me trying to get into the wrong room disturbing neighboring guests. Returned to confirm room number she angrily told me it was the wrong number. I handed her piece of paper she wrote down incorrect number. She ignored it and would not admit her mistake. Terrible CustomerService.

Near airport easy to find

The location is very convenient especially it close to the airport (DTW), and there are many stores around it.

The check in was very quick and easy. Clean rooms. Very handy near the airport and off airport parking.

We always stay here before our flight. Never any issues. Clean, always friendly and accommodating. Some good restaurants in the area.

Great place to stay near the Detroit airport. Very close to airport in a well-lit area with lots of hotels. The lady who assisted us with check-in at the front desk was lovely, and there also was a good amount of snacks to purchase upon arrival, which was very convenient after flying in late and missing dinner. Great place. Quiet. Shower pressure was not the greatest but it was still quite good.

Great place to stay overnight next to the airport. Lots of food options.

Cleanliness, quietness, and warm hospitality. I was very tired after a long flight. I found the comfort I was looking for there. The breakfast was also excellent compared to similar hotels.

Advertises a continental breakfast and what was offered was not a continental breakfast.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable king bed, great shower head. Room a little small fir two people. Good enough to sleep only. Delicious breakfast options.

Overnight parking is free here. Nearby hotels look cheaper but charge for parking. The free breakfast was very minimal. No bacon or sausage, and only fruit was an old banana. Excellent coffee!

The hotel room was nice. But the breakfast could have been better. The cereal machine didn’t work. They only had skim milk and almond milk. They had eggs and breakfast sandwiches by jimmy dean. It was more like a continental breakfast than a full breakfast. I won’t stay at this location again.
