Great two night stay, ate dinner outside on the terrace next to the trout brook, room was very comfortable and well appointed, our room was on the first floor at the back of the building overlooking the brook and cricket pitch so quiet, all the staff very helpful, we ate dinner both evenings during our stay, the food was superb.

Second visit to this beautiful hotel. Lovely riverside room. Friendly, efficient staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. Warm and relaxing reception area with log burner, good outdoor space too.Great food, especially breakfast. Dog friendly. Recommend

My husband and I stayed here while visiting the Cotswold's and it was a fantastic stay. It is close to all the main little towns you would want to see (all within a 45min drive) but, it is also completed secluded which is so nice too. The hotel itself is lovely- warm, cozy, modern, clean. They have a beautiful outdoor terrace, opened even in the winter. The restaurant is great too, when we came it was very busy and they ran out of a lot of their menu options which was a bit annoying but, we it didn't affect our trip at all. The people working there were very helpful and kind. I would recommend this hotel to everyone!

This place is an absolute gem! from beginning to end, everyone was so pleasant and helpful. The rooms are delightful and there are so many lovely touches, such as a drink on arrival, wellies and bikes to borrow! The room was beautiful and I love how dog friendly the hotel is. The food from the restaurant and the breakfast is really good. I really can't fault anything. Even when an issue arose (not of their making), they dealt with it without fuss, and professionally, I really felt they went the extra mile, and I would like to thank Alena from the restaurant for providing such good service. A really pleasant stay and I will definitely be returning.

Stayed here in March for 2 nights with my partner for our first year anniversary and this place didn't disappoint at all, it was amazing. The room was stunning, milk was left outside of our door each morning which was a lovely little touch. My partner messaged beforehand to arrange a balloon and rose petals which were ready in our room on arrival. Parking was really easy, always space available. We had breakfast each morning downstairs and the food was lovely. On our last night, we had pre-booked a pod outside and it was gorgeous, lovely and cosy with the mini heater inside and the blankets, we took such lovely photos. Staff were all professional and went the extra mile during our stay, shared photos on our instagram and even 2 members of staff I work with have since stayed here following our recommendation

We had a lovely one night stay here, the food was really good and the breakfast menu included in the room rate we were really impressed with, staff were friendly and helpful the only thing that we didn’t like was as we had to check in later due to getting stuck in traffic there was a lack of parking spaces available we found. But apart from that we enjoyed our stay and would come back.

Came into the room and the mirror was filthy covered in dust, was there was a used champagne or Prosecco cork under the bath. The pantry was very basically and not very clean. Expected more for the price per night

Fantastic hotel! The rooms are very clean and quality decor, with classy little touches. The hotel building and adjoining restaurant/bar were spotless and felt very welcoming, which also was helped by the friendly and helpful staff members. The breakfast was amazing as was the evening meal we had on the first night! We will be back and highly recommend.

We were a little disappointed with the smell of damp and cleaning standards in the room. There was a large amount of dust and fluff under the desk on top of the skirting boards. This was raised with reception but was not rectified. However, the menu and food was fantastic with plenty of options for celiacs. The service in the restaurant was good and we were looked after well. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

A lovely quirky hotel and so pretty. We loved our room it was comfortable and had everything we needed. We particularly liked the shoe and coat storage. Everything was spotlessly clean. Our only downside and why it doesn’t get 5 stars is because of the sheer volume of dogs staying there, it felt more like a doggy hotel. One night 2 of them were barking late at night and another morning the dog below us howled for an hour non stop. We also saw a waitress stroking dogs, letting them lick her hands and then she went and got fresh cutlery out of the drawer to set a table. If dogs are to be allowed there needs to be rules in place about leaving them in rooms on their own and basic hygiene rules to protect guests. Other than that it was a great stay.

Lovely hotel and restaurant but left a little disappointed. The room was not in great condition, paint peeling off walls in a number of places. Walls marked, sealant on bathroom door coming away, window frame broken at bottom.

This hotel is lovely and has such cosy vibe. You can definitely get away, drink a nice cocktail and relax by one of the many log burners. The evening meal is nice enough, breakfast was lovely. This place has so much potential but it’s extremely noisy in the rooms. Ours had a connecting door and noise ruined the entire trip. In the evening it was noisy above us with people moving the room around until past 11pm. It’s dog friendly but everyone has a dog there, so one barks and sets the rest off. We were then woken by the adjoining room with their dog barking at 4 am and the doors, extractor fan blowing as they were clearly awake. So what was meant to be a relaxing reset, meant we were left extremely tired after a ridiculous wake up.

Our stay was lovely. Couldn’t fault the service the only downside was the bed and pillows were not comfortable and the rooms are hot, so could each do with a fan in at least rather than having to get one from the pantry

We had an absolutely fabulous stay here - the small details such as fresh milk, a pantry you can grab extra supplies from and the smell of wood fires just made this a magical experience. Our room had a roll top bath in which I happily used and had a glass of wine in and the shower, when they say a powerful rainfall shower they were not lying. Minor negative side is the toilet seat was a little... hard... We had dinner in their restaurant and whilst the portion sizes were on the smaller side everything tasted heavenly. I love stick toffee pudding and I can tell you this is THE BEST I have ever tasted. Only minor point is that upstairs the tables are a little close to each other but once we got seated in a booth we were much more comfortable and all the waiters were just fabulous - friendly, professional and so so welcoming.

The hotel is lovely the service was good however we had really nosey neighbours with thin walls you can hear everything and they had a new born baby! I have no problem with kids as between me and my other half we have 5 hence this stay was so important to us as my other half lost her dad few months ago and I have saved up for this treat but we didn’t sleep very well atol and could hear everything

This is a lovely hotel to stay we enjoyed our breakfast and had a wonderful meal. We thought the room costs were over priced for the overall experience and found the staff not very friendly.

Fantastic, went above and beyond. Went for my partner’s birthday and she loved it. They couldn’t have done enough. The personal tour around the premises was the most in detail one I’ve ever had. Breakfast being included for the price is unbelievable value and the little extras they surprise you with make it all the more special. Thank you.

Welcomed by lovely lady at the reception and she escorted us to the room and explained the property. Nice dinner at the Crown. We had a wonderful stay and love to go back next year for a long weekend:)

I had a lovely stay at the Wild Thyme and Honey. However I purchased the room with the prviate bath, unfortunatley there was a leak from the bath and we had to escalate this to the staff at 21:00pm. Informed the staff of this and still waiting for a reply to discuss the compensation.

Excellent hotel, easy check in. Staff were very helpful and friendly and made you feel very welcome. The room was lovely and had everything you needed with a few nice extras. I would recommend eating at the restaurant on site also we had an excellent meal and the service was great. I would definitely return :)

Mini break with my husband was great. We love this hotel, food and drink was great. Staff were really helpfull. We experienced a fire alarm activation at 5am, the night porter was great and kept us all informed. Provided blankets to keep us warm outside. He also made a round of teas for everyone once the builing had been cleared by the fire brigade. Will be returning for a third trip i am sure !

This is my second stay at wild thyme and honey, this time with my mum and it was just perfect. The service is great and they go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. The food is delicious too.

My husband and I stayed here while visiting the Cotswold's and it was a fantastic stay. It is close to all the main little towns you would want to see (all within a 45min drive) but, it is also completed secluded which is so nice too. The hotel itself is lovely- warm, cozy, modern, clean. They have a beautiful outdoor terrace, opened even in the winter. The restaurant is great too, when we came it was very busy and they ran out of a lot of their menu options which was a bit annoying but, we it didn't affect our trip at all. The people working there were very helpful and kind. I would recommend this hotel to everyone!

This hotel is lovely and has such cosy vibe. You can definitely get away, drink a nice cocktail and relax by one of the many log burners. The evening meal is nice enough, breakfast was lovely. This place has so much potential but it’s extremely noisy in the rooms. Ours had a connecting door and noise ruined the entire trip. In the evening it was noisy above us with people moving the room around until past 11pm. It’s dog friendly but everyone has a dog there, so one barks and sets the rest off. We were then woken by the adjoining room with their dog barking at 4 am and the doors, extractor fan blowing as they were clearly awake. So what was meant to be a relaxing reset, meant we were left extremely tired after a ridiculous wake up.

Beautiful place to stay for 2 nights and the food was all excellent and great breakfast choices and tasted great. The haddock fish and chips was huge and very yummy. All the staff were very nice and helpful so would highly recommend staying here for a few days.

Fantastic hotel! The rooms are very clean and quality decor, with classy little touches. The hotel building and adjoining restaurant/bar were spotless and felt very welcoming, which also was helped by the friendly and helpful staff members. The breakfast was amazing as was the evening meal we had on the first night! We will be back and highly recommend.

This place is extraordinary. Great for a romantic getaway. The only «\xa0meh\xa0» was our supper. My pasta was mushy overcooked and my husband’s Cesar salad was soaked in vinaigrette and extra anchovies. We intend to return because it’s really lovely, next time we’ll stick to a «\xa0safe\xa0» burger.

Lovely hotel with luxurious rooms and facilities. Lots of areas to sit and relax and all dog friendly. staff always very helpful and friendly. The food was fantastic, the Sunday roast was one of the best I have ever had! My one complaint would be that I did not sleep well. Lots of noise from other rooms and people outside, which unsettled my dog. The hotel also play music outside and throughout the seating areas. This kept me awake on both nights so unfortunately I wouldn’t stay here again. Would definitely come back and have food again.

This hotel is gorgeous for a peaceful getaway. I stayed for my birthday and in the room was a card and some complimentary chocolates. Also complimentary sloe gin! The room is cosy and with everything you’d need. I was most impressed by the food here! I couldn’t believe the breakfast was included, you get a cooked meal from the menu as well as fruit and pastries from the buffet. I’d encourage everyone staying to book dinner at The Crown! The food was incredible and the staff very accommodating.

In an area where there are countless little country hotels, this is a real gem of a find. The staff are incredibly kind, warm and welcoming; food is served all day and is absolutely delicious; the bedrooms are incredibly comfortable and well thought through; and the breakfast buffet is simply delightful!

A tastefully developed pub with ample rooms, stylish appearance and appealing atmosphere. Dinner was a little disappointing (had the buttermilk chicken burger) which felt as if it had been pre-prepared/defrosted and reheated. May have just been an unlucky experience as generally the food reviews are very good and the breakfast was truly excellent and very fresh. Husband's burger was good. Staff very pleasant. We had a waterside suite which looked over the cricket pitch at the back so was quiet. Used it as a base to start the Thames Path walk at its source near Kemble.

Lovely place with great food, we stopped here for one night on our way back home from snowdonia. Room was clean stylish and comfortable but was on the ground floor right where people at the pub sit and drink so it was very noisy until 10pm at which point I think the staff usher them in. Even then because of how public it is you couldn't have your shutters open so felt a bit dark and shut in. I would recommend one of the other rooms on the river side.
