House was lovely, location was ideal however Professional Holiday Homes Calla Bay who manage the property were less than professional and capable in their management. On arrival the backyard was littered with the previous guests dog poo which we had to pick up.No gas in gas bbq bottle and no spare bottle anywhere despite the handbook instructions stating there was one.A face washer was supplied in place of a tea towel. There was only one bath mat and hand towel provided between two bathrooms. We called the after hours number supplied and the person I spoke to took a message and said somebody would call back during office hours but nobody called. We then rang the office number repeatedly, placed in a queue only to be disconnected or left a number to be called back on as directed but nobody called. It was only when we went to the IGA at Callala Bay on our last day that we discovered the office. We went in and was greeted by staff who only gave excuses why our calls went unanswered and to the reason behind the sparse linen supplied and that we could have got a gas bottle from the local provided however how would we know this because it wasn’t in the handbook and nobody took our calls. We paid a premium price to be there at that peak time it is not our fault that you are understaffed and unprofessional. I would definitely rent the house again but under different management. And despite filling a complaint form nobody has followed up.

We had a wonderful stay at Hanalei in Myola with my Mum and our dog Rosie. The house was clean, inviting, and very comfortable – a real home away from home. Rosie loved exploring the secure fenced yard, and the well-stocked kitchen had everything we needed. Having two bathrooms was great, especially for my Mum who preferred the walk-in shower. The location near the water was so peaceful, and we loved watching the native birds and even kangaroos nearby. Such a beautiful property in a relaxing spot – we’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful location opposite the river. Comfy bed. Heater provided. Outdoor chairs on the verandah a lovely place to sit. Lots of birds and kangaroos in the garden. Walk to the beach. One small niggle was a hot water system in the shower that was hard to keep a consistent temperature but otherwise all good.

The location of the house is great for fishing, located just in front of the creek, the boat ramp is a couple of hundred metres, so is the ferry wharf, the house is very well maintained, everything needed for the stay was available,

Shoalhaven, New South Wales

Location

Located in Myola, this vacation home is in a rural area and near the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Jervis Bay National Park and Saltwater Swamp Nature Reserve, while Fleet Air Arm Museum and Nowra Museum are cultural highlights. Traveling with kids? Consider Nowra Aquatic Park and Shoalhaven Zoo. Jet skiing and kayaking offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with horse riding and cycling nearby.
