Motel 6 Soledad, CA

This place is newly remodeled and has a restaurant. It’s very close to shopping. It only has two pillows per bed and you have to request a hair dryer. Coffee is a machine in the lobby. The hot tub was not working during our stay.

The hot tub jets didn’t seem to be working. Otherwise I enjoyed sitting in the warm water. One of the staff recommended getting Mexican food at La Placita but when I went there I found the prepared food counter closed at 6 pm. Would have been helpful to know ahead of time. Thank you to JuJu for coming to my room to show me how remote controls work!

It was nice that bed was made daily & replaced with fresh towels & soap. The pool had dirt on the floor (perhaps from windy days), not sure if this is an ongoing issue, and no towels by the pool so had to ask for extra towels from the front clerk. We still enjoyed the hot spa and pool. During weekdays Thurs-Friday the motel was quiet from folks, however, Saturday adult males talking loudly in the hallway, then noisy young kids arrived at 10:30pm & settled down at 11:40pm once I called front desk. It was nice that parking was available & food options were nearby.

Good stay for the price. The jacuzzi was warm, we wished it was hotter to relax our muscles after hiking all day at Pinnacles. The pool and jacuzzi also needed a paint job. The room had nice updates and it was clean. The bed was comfortable. The hallway was a bit noisy, but overall nice stay for one night.

Good little hotel! We loved the outdoor hot tub! Room was clean and spacious. Hotel itself was nice - easy parking, easy to find. Nothing bad to say at all! Would definitely stay again!

Description stated that there was a jacuzzi and pool. The jacuzzie and pool were not working and would not be available until after 4/30/25. We would have gone to a cheaper hotel had we known that.

Jacuzzi was cold

This is a nice Motel 6. My room has a microwave and mini-fridge, and coffee is available in the lobby 24/7. There is a hot tub; though I didn't use it, there are others enjoying it. There's no carpet (yay). My room is spacious, appears clean, and I feel safe. The girl who checked me in was very helpful and friendly. It's a good location, and good coffee (Folgers). Yes, I would stay here again.

We were staying overnight to hike Pinnacles National Park. Room was spacious and clean. We were disappointed that the hot tub was freezing cold as well as the pool especially since we picked this hotel for those amenities. When we spoke to the front desk clerk she said that those features weren't available.

The property is clean and safe feeling, the room was clean and up to date. Felt very relaxed in the room.

Only two choices to stay in Soledad. Super 8 seemed cleaner but they booked up the day we were in town for my cousins wedding down the street. There were sewer flies all over the room. Asked for a different room but they had no vacancies. It took us an hour to clear the room out. Then we had to go down to CVS to buy cleaning products and gloves. The bathtub was dirty and there was brownish stuff in the sink. After bleaching the tub, sink and toilet looked much cleaner than we got it. The bedding was somewhat new. But after lifting the mattress there was dust. We had a vacuum we used for the car, and used our own blankets. I’ve stayed at motel 6’s before, for an overnight stay but maybe it was just the location. Also felt unsafe seen a lot of suspicious activity. Only plus was the Windmill Restaurant next door.

They had dirty towels, no hair dryer, no shampoo, the room had lots of flies, puke on the bottom of the bed. Floors were dirty. But easy check in.

With virtually no hotel options in the area, we booked 3 nights at this property for our trip to Pinnacles NP. The room was shabby, bath towels were tattered, tiny and paper thin. The bathroom floor grout was revolting, COVERED in mold and mildew. On one of the beds, the fitted sheet had a huge stain on it - use your imagination. The mattresses were hard as a rock. The front desk was attentive, and when we asked for multiple towels, multiple times they were prompt. Regarding the dirty sheet, we asked for a new one ourselves and changed it rather than bother the limited staff. Regarding the floor, we peeked in other rooms that were open and they were all very similar. Book with caution and knowing what you're in for.

The motel was very clean, which we appreciated. The staff was very friendly. It was perfect for our trip to the Pinnacles National Park.

The property is very old and it smells horrible The drugs addicts rent rooms for monthly’s so they bikes and trash are all outside. It was pitbull grading the motel after it had gotten dark and a non smokers room there was burn holes in the cover on the bed . Toe nails left in the bathroom they said house keeping was coming to clean and they never showed I had to go buy covers from Walmart drive 30 minutes because I couldn’t find another room for the weekend .

This was not a good experience, the sheets had yellow stains and I asked if they could be changed, they said they would look in to it with house keeping, we came back to the room late and the sheets were not changed still had yellow stains, how it's described is not at all what it looks like it's deceiving it's dirty, dusty, mildew on shower curtain, no iron or blow dryer.

This is the epitome of a roach motel. It was a last minute business trip and all other hotels were all booked. Got to my room and notice my bed sheet had a stain. Room was extremely dirty due to sticky floors and stains. There were roaches crawling throughout the room.

This is my second stay at this hotel that cleanliness is an issue. The towels are old and dingy, shower had mold bathroom counter had hair in the corners. The bed made me feel itchy. I paid $180 for one night and there's not many options to stay in Soledad. They don't care that their beds smell and rooms are dirty. It's gross stay away from here if at all possible!

The rooms were so sparse it was as though they put in a bed and forgot to furnish the rest of the room. No batteries in the TV remote, no nightstands. Just a bed with a lot of empty space.

It was my daughter and I traveling to Pinnacles. The room we were given had a sliding door leading to the parking lot. I did not feel completely safe which made me uncomfortable. The floor wasn’t very clean. The wi-fi did not allow streaming from my own channels even though it was a brand new Roku.

Bed uncomfortable; pillows flat ; awkward side chairs uncomfortable to sit on; no shampoo or lotion in bathroom; towels. Mall and thin.

There seemed to be a lack of furniture, no nightstands in room, no couch in King room. No pictures on the walls.

Basic, clean room on first floor with comfortable beds. We worried that we’d hear footsteps above us, but it was a quiet night. Walked into town and ate at the only place that was open, a fabulous Mexican restaurant recommended by the hotel. No bfast included, but there was all the coffee you can drink in the lobby.

The bed was uncomfortable. It was very high so difficult to climb in to.The mattress was strange - it seemed to be made of thick foam so one sank down into it. Also, finding the TV channels was far more complex than in other hotels. The receptionist was friendly, and it was great to have hot drinks available in reception at all times.

The front desk staff were extremely pleasant and professional. The property is pretty much what you'd expect from a Motel 6. Clean-ish. Wifi was iffy at best. The biggest issue for me was that there is NO soundproofing, and there were just a lot of very loud guests there at the time. Lots of kids and adults who were generally oblivious that there might be others staying there. There's not much to choose from near Pinnacles, so it might be the best you can find.

It is a motel that is just conveniently situated. It’s clean. The beds make a lot of squeaky noise. The restaurant adjacent to it was very good and the restaurant staff was very friendly.

The hotel was not as nice as we were hoping. The website said that it had been renovated. The room was large but mostly empty with a bed and one chair and lots of open space. The bathroom was small and the lobby was not very inviting. We tried to spend as much time as possible out of the hotel during our stay. The staff was nice enough.

I liked that the bathroom was cleaned and they left fresh towels. We had a terrible time checking in. We arrived at 2pm to see if we could get an early check-in but the room wasn\'t ready. We said we would come back later. When we arrived at 4pm, which is an hour later than promised the room still wasn\'t ready. Then the motel clerk said that it was because we said earlier that "any time is okay" therefore blaming us for their ineptitude. Then she said to wait in the car for 20 minutes. In the meantime, the cleaning crew was having their break in their breakroom, which we could see. Unacceptable! Apparently, the management doesn\'t know how to manage. It was a terrible experience to start our stay.

I wasn’t expecting a lot when we booked a Motel 6, but I was pleasantly surprised. Our first room smelled like bug spray but the front desk very willingly found us another room without any problems. Our room was cleaned daily (something that Holiday Inn no longer does). Very friendly staff!

It met our needs and was close to pinnacles. Staff was very accomodating.

The service of the staff. Person at counter super rude. I drove in out of state and got there really late with my family and person was mad that i checked in at the time i did and i wouldnt let them sleep. Kept lauging at us and making smart remarks.

Everyone there is friendly and helpful. They are all very kind. We enjoyed our stay.

Most of the staff working here were nice, however one was rude to my wife when she asked for extra towels for the pool, and also threatened to charge money if we lost our room keys. The neighborhood is a little rough but there is a nice diner in front of the motel. The manager is a really great guy. we were there to hike Pinnacles and also visit Mission Soledad. So, considering it was a holiday weekend, the price for the room was “ok”. The rooms were a B- but they were clean, as were the sheets. Not much soap was offered. The toilet paper is as thick as the towels. Maybe if they bought normal toilet paper they wouldn't freak out so much about the towels and the room key cards...lol But overall, a decent place if you meed to be in soledad. Most of the staff are friendly. If you have a pet, make sure you let them know when you arrive. Even if you told them on the phone and in your reservation. Advice: - bring your own toiletries - bring extra towels - make sure to let them know you have a pet - go to the diner and meet the manager; he’s great - don't walk too far in the neighborhood; it's kind of sketchy - Visit Mission Soledad - they have Mass at 10am on the first Sunday of the month If you have to be in soledad, this is a fine option. We would come here again (if we had to), but would probably look somewhere else first. But not horrible. And we got what we paid for on a holiday weekend.

Easy access to the freeway. Solidad is a nice old town with many good Mexican restaurants.

If you are going to Pinnacles National Park, this Motel 6 is convenient and the best choice in the area. Room was clean and large with a refrig and microwave and all the basic necessities.

Close to freeway entrance. Next to a mall with various restaurants and close to gas station. Overall is clean. Many truck drivers stay there at night. Can get nosy early in the morning. Barely see any staff there. But good for the value

Staff uncertain about our on line reservation. Took long in ok’ing our first Fl hcp Rm as previously requested. Rm very adequate, but worker had parked in our space . Loved fact Restuarant next door
