Although the location is nice and it looks cute the mattress was the worst I’ve slept on in a very long time. Spring in my back all night and the room was dirty. I don’t know where these rooms are that got these ratings but the bench in my room was dusty and the seat was disgusting. For $250 a night clean it, get an unsplintered door, and get a new mattress! And for the kicker only 1 TV for the whole building to share for the whopping price of over $250 a night

This inn is a very old, but lovingly restored, quaint, old building near the centre of Keene. Our host was excellent. He went out of his way to greet us even though we were a little late arriving. He kept us informed with a few, key emails. The breakfast was simple, but there were many options. Parking was free and wasy.

Joe is so sweet and accommodating! He met us in the parking lot and showed us to our beautiful room. The house is very comfortable and lovely. It's like being home away from home. Walking distance to town. Private parking. Beautiful breakfast was waiting for us when we woke up. This is the best place to stay, and we would definitely stay here again.

The property was absolutely lovely! The decor was country chic. I felt transported back in time to a simpler, gentler age of less technology. If you like a tv in your room this place is not for you. I did not miss it at all.

Loved our stay. Beautifully decorated and I was able to play the house guitar in common room which was a unique touch I really enjoyed. Would gladly stay here again.

We found the Carriage Barn Inn to be clean, comfortable and quiet. The proximity to downtown Keene is a plus. The owner greeted us personally and made us feel welcome. I would recommend it to friends and family looking for a place to stay in Keene.

The place was so quaint and quiet! Such a beautiful cozy inn! Extremely clean and the innkeeper Joe was great! It’s also a very safe area too. Bed was so comfortable and shower was warm with great water pressure. And once again so clean!

Joe is so friendly and made our stay feel personal. We enjoyed talking to him in the morning over breakfast. He picks some great combos of pastries, yogurt, and fruits and so it is a pleasure to wake up for breakfast at the inn. I felt so at home the two nights I stayed at the inn. Our room was so quaintly decorated and I loved the small touches that made the inn unique - board games and a chess board, thoughtful room furnishings, candy bowls and fruit out for snacks, and even a ukulele! Joe also went above and beyond for us. We didn’t have a car and had a last-minute need to get a razor to look nice for a family wedding. Joe literally drove my boyfriend to a local convenience store so he could grab what he needed. It was so incredibly kind. I’d definitely recommend staying here for anyone looking for a quaint, personalized experience in Keene.

Joe went above and beyond for us. I recently had surgery and needed a chair to put in the shower (not the typical request) and he found me one within ten minutes of asking. He also had a lovely breakfast and was enjoy to talk to

I was in town for the Harris Hill Ski Jump Challenge in Brattleboro, VT and decided to stay in Keene, NH a town I always wanted to visit. I couldn't have picked a better location. What a lovely place and a brisk 5-minute walk got me into town with a great bakery, running store and restaurants. I'll be back, so much more to do and see. Even got an afternoon of skiing in at Granite Gorge.

I had an amazing seven night stay at the Carriage Barn Inn. It is very cozy and Joe is a wonderful host. Excellent breakfast options and a great, quiet location that is perfect for visiting Keene and the surrounding areas. Couldn’t recommend more!

I had an amazing seven night stay at the Carriage Barn Inn. It is very cozy and Joe is a wonderful host. Excellent breakfast options and a great, quiet location that is perfect for visiting Keene and the surrounding areas. Couldn’t recommend more!

Joe is so friendly and made our stay feel personal. We enjoyed talking to him in the morning over breakfast. He picks some great combos of pastries, yogurt, and fruits and so it is a pleasure to wake up for breakfast at the inn. I felt so at home the two nights I stayed at the inn. Our room was so quaintly decorated and I loved the small touches that made the inn unique - board games and a chess board, thoughtful room furnishings, candy bowls and fruit out for snacks, and even a ukulele! Joe also went above and beyond for us. We didn’t have a car and had a last-minute need to get a razor to look nice for a family wedding. Joe literally drove my boyfriend to a local convenience store so he could grab what he needed. It was so incredibly kind. I’d definitely recommend staying here for anyone looking for a quaint, personalized experience in Keene.

This inn is a very old, but lovingly restored, quaint, old building near the centre of Keene. Our host was excellent. He went out of his way to greet us even though we were a little late arriving. He kept us informed with a few, key emails. The breakfast was simple, but there were many options. Parking was free and wasy.

Joe is so sweet and accommodating! He met us in the parking lot and showed us to our beautiful room. The house is very comfortable and lovely. It's like being home away from home. Walking distance to town. Private parking. Beautiful breakfast was waiting for us when we woke up. This is the best place to stay, and we would definitely stay here again.

What an absolute gem, I love everything about this property! The rooms are quiet and private, the continental breakfast and separate seating areas are adorable, and the owners Jodie & Joe (and their family) were super helpful with all of our Keene State College-related questions. I can't wait to visit again - everything was perfect and we highly recommend!

Parking and check in were a breeze. The room was comfortable with charming touches like antique school desks for nightstands. We had full access to common rooms and the fridge had free drinks and snacks. The inn was very close to downtown with lots of shops and eateries. Continental breakfast includes fresh fruit, yogurt, huge bagels and scones, coffee and a great selection of teas. Joe was a pleasant and easy-going host. Would gladly stay here again.

The continental breakfast was good - a variety of fresh baked goods, yogurts, fresh fruits, granola, teas, and the coffee was excellent! It would have been nice to enjoy a hot breakfast on the cold and gloomy morning that we were there, though. We enjoyed meeting our friendly host, Joe, and had a nice conversation with him as he explained the history of the property and some future kitchen renovations he has in the works. Parking was no problem - plenty of space, well-lit, felt absloutely safe. Our room and private bath was clean and well-appointed. All in all, it was a very comfortable & enjoyable visit. I'll be back!
