This hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of the centre. We loved this property because you really get the sense that they care about their guests. Every single employee was friendly and they could basically write a customer service manual for most hotels. Do not expect to watch tv in your room (because they are no TVs). The pool was immaculate. The drinks were strong but not too much. You really are paying for the customer service and friendliness. Our room was clean, large, and the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant can offer some vegan options but the absolute BEST part of the hotel was Carlo, the french bulldog. Every morning he sat on the patio and greeted all guests with a larger than life french bulldog personality. 5/5 would recommend this place

The hotel was beautiful and quiet, but expect avery remote location. You do have to take taxis or bikes everywhere, which adds cost so be aware. The staff were friendly and helped as much as they could. The free breakfast was not very exciting, same thing everyday, yogurt, granola, fruit and biscuit, I skipped it most often but it was fresh when I had it. The last day, there was a very loud group that checked in that partied in the pool and their rooms till 2am, kept me up, but there are no staff onsite overnight so not much could be done about it. The rest of the trip was very peaceful. AC had issues in beginning but it got resolved. No fridge, and limited filtered water, so just buy a couple bottles to keep in room. Overall though the place was clean, safe, beautiful pool area, people are friendly and responsive, mostly quiet, but expect remote location and not a lot of dinner choices unless you walk for a bit. Thank El NIDO, I needed to recharge.

The hotel is a tranquil place to stay. The soft music adds to the ambience. Brandon was very polite, friendly and professional. The rest of the staff were also very professional. The swimming pool and the area around it is a nice place to relax. The hotel is quite far from Centro so transport is required otherwise it's a 30-minute walk, which in the sun isn't advisable. There are very few restaurants nearby. The menu at the hotel has limited options. During my stay the cook was on holiday so the menu was even smaller. It would have been nice to have had more meal options available because as a vegetarian I am unable to choose widely. Besides this I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and I would really recommend guests to stay here as well.

The hotel itself is beautiful with a lovely breakfast and clean cool with hammocks. The location of the hotel however it is in the jungle area so walking distance to the centre of town can be tricky. Also, they didn’t have the bicycles on hand so we had to take taxis. However, if you were looking for solitude, it is very close to an amazing beach that doesn’t have lots of people which can be worth it. Sadly, we went during mosquito season so you have to be in your hotel by 7 PM. Otherwise you will be eaten alive.

Es ideal para estar aislados y disfrutar del silencio, proporcionan un buen servicio, son muy amables y se siente la calidez por parte del equipo. Property was very pretty, very close to beautiful Punta Cocos. Staff was excellent and very charming. About 30 min outside of town altho very easy to walk or take taxi. Beware there will be puddles if taking taxi, just a special part of Holbox.

El Nido is such an Incredibly Romantic Gem. The ambiance was felt immediately by My Partner & I. The Proprietor has done an Exceptional job creating a delightful and uniquely tranquil atmosphere. The energy of the space was just what We were hoping for on the Island. Very well managed & maintained. The staff was great…helpful and very detail oriented. They definitely made sure Our stay was pleasant. We will absolutely be returning for another stay next time We make it to Holbox. What a Beautiful Property!!

Das El Nido ist ein toller Ort. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Super neue Anlage, alles mit Liebe eingerichtet und super sauber. Das Frühstück ist inklusive, aber nicht so groß. Für uns war es aber ausreichend. Die Lage ist etwa 3 Min zu Fuß zum Playa Coco, aber etwa 30 Min zu Fuß zum Zentrum. Wem das zu lange dauert, muss per Taxi fahren oder sich ein Golfcard oder Fahrrad leihen. Über die Preise sollte man sich im Vorfeld erkundigen. Es gibt keine Fahrräder am Hotel zu mieten, oder welche die für frei zur Verfügung stehen. Wir haben sie Zeit sehr genossen. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und wir haben super gut geschlafen. Den Poolbereich haben wir auch gut genutzt, da er auch sehr zum entspannen einläd :) Alles in Allem ein sehr toller Aufenthalt für uns. Kommen gerne wieder :)

Frühstück ist etwas klein, aber dafür inklusive und für uns war es ok :) Es sind zu Fuß etwa 25min ins Zentrum. Wem das zu weit ist, muss per Taxi fahren oder sich ein Fahrrad mieten. Das Hotel hat keine eigenen und auch keine kostenlosen anzubieten. Zum Playa Coco sind es nur 3 Min zu Fuß. Paya Mosquito ist am anderen Ende des Zentrums noch weiter raus. Zui Fuß etwa 1h. Wer die Ruhe sucht und mit ein bisschen Weg um mitten im Geschehen sein fein ist, ist hier sehr richtig.:) Preis-Leistung ist gut. Bisschen mehr Auswahl beim Frühstück und Fahrräder vom Hotel wären sicher noch toll, dann wäre es eine 10/10 Wir würden wieder kommen :D

If you don't want to be near the centre, this is perfect. The manager is exceptional - and works long hours (but there isn't a permanently manned reception, so service may not be available promptly). Rooms are basic - no fridge, would have liked a filtered water dispenser in the hotel and I had to move to have a room with a desk and chair (not all have them). I can't fault the service or cleanliness. You can see the sea - on the horizon, between buildings- but it isn't on the beach.

I loved this property, beautiful design, clean, friendly and welcoming staff. It’s a short walk from a beach that looks wild - which I appreciated. The staff was friendly and helpful. Also, unlike the properties downtown that blast loud music that no human should be exposed to-you could actually get good sleep at this hotel as it’s in a peaceful location.

The hotel itself was very quiet and well appointed. Large rooms and everything worked well. Staff was lovely and breakfast was very nice. I tend to get up early the staff brought me coffee before the 8am breakfast time. Only real disappointed was the golf cart rental. We rented a golf cart for several days and the hotel charged much more for it than if we rented directly. We also asked if we could rent on for less than a 24 hour period. We were told that was the min time...found out we could have rented for a shorter time period.

Für uns war es aber ausreichend. Die Lage ist etwa 3 Min zu Fuß zum Playa Coco, aber etwa 30 Min zu Fuß zum Zentrum. Wem das zu lange dauert, muss per Taxi fahren oder sich ein Golfcard oder Fahrrad leihen. Über die Preise sollte man sich im Vorfeld erkundigen. Es gibt keine Fahrräder am Hotel zu mieten, oder welche die für frei zur Verfügung stehen. Wir haben sie Zeit sehr genossen. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und wir haben super gut geschlafen. Den Poolbereich haben wir auch gut genutzt, da er auch sehr zum entspannen einläd :) Alles in Allem ein sehr toller Aufenthalt für uns. Kommen gerne wieder :)

Das El Nido, ein wunderschönes Hotel, mit tollem Interieur, Pool und super schöne große Zimmer/Bäder. Alles sehr sauber und tägliche Zimmerreinigung. Frühstück ist etwas klein, aber dafür inklusive und für uns war es ok :) Es sind zu Fuß etwa 25min ins Zentrum. Wem das zu weit ist, muss per Taxi fahren oder sich ein Fahrrad mieten. Wer die Ruhe sucht und mit ein bisschen Weg um mitten im Geschehen sein fein ist, ist hier sehr richtig.:) Preis-Leistung ist gut. Bisschen mehr Auswahl beim Frühstück und Fahrräder vom Hotel wären sicher noch toll, dann wäre es eine 10/10 Wir würden wieder kommen :D

El Nido Staff were warm, caring, friendly, & so helpful with suggestions & local knowledge. making suggestions for us to explore on our own which we love to do. They were also available and willing to arrange any and every detail (which they handled with perfect, ease-filled results) . Breakfast & afternoon snacks & drinks were prepared with great attention to our special allergy needs & preferences. Fresh individually prepared Breakfasts included. Full restaurant services were not available when we were there. Surroundings were elegant AND comfortable & casual, a superb combination! The pool was sparkling, the grounds hand groomed,. Rooms tended with care. This intimate boutique hotel is our idea of Aaaah! We loved the location, quiet & serene.

If you don't want to be near the centre, this is perfect. The manager is exceptional - and works long hours (but there isn't a permanently manned reception, so service may not be available promptly). Rooms are basic - no fridge, would have liked a filtered water dispenser in the hotel and I had to move to have a room with a desk and chair (not all have them). I can't fault the service or cleanliness. You can see the sea - on the horizon, between buildings- but it isn't on the beach.

El hotel es bonito, el personal es amable y está cerca de Punta Cocos, pero alejado del centro (aprox 30 minutos caminando). El desayuno es rico (café o té, jugo, yoghurt, pan dulce y huevos o molletes o tosta de aguacate) y suficiente para empezar el día. Hay una jarra de agua en la habitación, lo que me pareció buen detalle. El wifi funciona bien. Sería bueno que tuviera un lugar para poner el equipaje y un espejo de cuerpo completo. En general, fue buena experiencia.

Es ideal para estar aislados y disfrutar del silencio, proporcionan un buen servicio, son muy amables y se siente la calidez por parte del equipo. Super hyggeligt lille hotel. Morgenmaden en anelse lille, men fantastisk med ny friskpresset juice hver dag. Vær opmærksom på det ligger lidt langt fra byen. Man skulle overvejer at købe et headset til rengøringen så man ikke skal høre på hendes høje musik imens hun hver dag gør rent. Vandtrykket i badet var absurd lavt. Et dejligt roligt og fredeligt hotel. Lidt hippie vibes. Latterligt at servere laks og ikke noget lokal fisk. Ikke et sted man bruger hele dagen, grundet lidt høje priser kontra kvaliteten på maden.

El Hotel está muy cuidado con muchos detalles, es un autentico hotel Boutique regentado por una pareja Italiana y el gran Carlo, muy atentos y amables, el Staf también, el desayuno cuidado hasta el ultimo detalle, la ubicación esta a unos 25-30 min andando hasta el centro o a 10-12 min en los carritos-taxi que te cuestan dependiendo del taxista entre 150-200 pesos el viaje, la ubicación del hotel esta justo en punta cocos las playas magnificas... lo malo del hotel.. no hay TV (malo & bueno) no hay nevera en la habitación, y lo del aire es criminal... solo funciona de 22h hasta las 6-7 de la mañana... hay ventilador en el techo, pero hace una calor en la la habitación que vamos... Pero sin duda repetiría y recomendaría este hotel si quieres poca gente y relax.

Lovely modern boutique hotel with very friendly staff. The location was a little remote, about 30min walk to the central part of Holbox. The room was spacious but we could hear our neighbours at night... The breakfast was small - additional items (avo toast, espresso etc) were charged extra.

The hotel is a tranquil place to stay. The soft music adds to the ambience. Brandon was very polite, friendly and professional. The rest of the staff were also very professional. The swimming pool and the area around it is a nice place to relax. The hotel is quite far from Centro so transport is required otherwise it's a 30-minute walk, which in the sun isn't advisable. There are very few restaurants nearby. The menu at the hotel has limited options. During my stay the cook was on holiday so the menu was even smaller. It would have been nice to have had more meal options available because as a vegetarian I am unable to choose widely. Besides this I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and I would really recommend guests to stay here as well.

If you want to relax, just book this amazing unique boutique hotel. From the moment you arrive you can switch off and enjoy the hospitality of Alberto and Dani. If you want a big, corporate, soulless hotel, keep on looking and go elsewhere. The rooms and outside space join seamlessly and you are at one with the nature that lives there. The hotel is about a 25 minute walk to the town centre, or you can grab an easily arranged taxi, that will take 5/10 mins. There is a small shop less than 5 mins walk from El Nido and there are good restaurants about 15 mins walk away Alberto makes amazing fresh pasta meals daily that you can grab for lunch of evening meal, along with a wine or beer. The hosts are great for asking for recommendations and bikes are available to hire to explore further. We would thoroughly recommend this hidden gem to anyone who wants to get away from it all. Great place, lovely location and super well taken care of by Alberto. Would defo return. As for any comments about distance from town, potholes etc, it's a pleasant walk, the potholes are passable after rain, and there's a shop super close by.

If you want to relax, just book this amazing unique boutique hotel. From the moment you arrive you can switch off and enjoy the hospitality of Alberto and Dani. If you want a big, corporate, soulless hotel, keep on looking and go elsewhere. The rooms and outside space join seamlessly and you are at one with the nature that lives there. The hotel is about a 25 minute walk to the town centre, or you can grab an easily arranged taxi, that will take 5/10 mins. There is a small shop less than 5 mins walk from El Nido and there are good restaurants about 15 mins walk away Alberto makes amazing fresh pasta meals daily that you can grab for lunch of evening meal, along with a wine or beer. The hosts are great for asking for recommendations and bikes are available to hire to explore further. We would thoroughly recommend this hidden gem to anyone who wants to get away from it all. The hotel itself is beautiful with a lovely breakfast and clean cool with hammocks. The location of the hotel however it is in the jungle area so walking distance to the centre of town can be tricky. Also, they didn’t have the bicycles on hand so we had to take taxis. However, if you were looking for solitude, it is very close to an amazing beach that doesn’t have lots of people which can be worth it. Sadly, we went during mosquito season so you have to be in your hotel by 7 PM. Otherwise you will be eaten alive.

El Nido is a lovely boutique hotel in Holbox, away from the hustle and bustle of the island. The pool is lovely and the hotel has a really nice decor, with spacious rooms. I really enjoyed the quietness of the place, especially in the evenings! One thing to flag is that is a bit away from the centre of the island, so you either have to walk or take taxis (around 200 pesos per taxi) which is a bit inconvenient at times. The closest beach is 5 minutes away at Punta Coco however if you want to go to other beaches, is a bit of a walk

We had high hopes, but the trip was a disaster. Literally covered from head to toe in mosquito bites. No way to leave the property in foot without getting shredded with bites and dodging mosquito infested waters. Great pity. Franco tried his best, but it was hopeless.

Property was very pretty, very close to beautiful Punta Cocos. Staff was excellent and very charming. About 30 min outside of town altho very easy to walk or take taxi. Beware there will be puddles if taking taxi, just a special part of Holbox.

Das El Nido ist ein toller Ort. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Super neue Anlage, alles mit Liebe eingerichtet und super sauber. Das Frühstück ist inklusive, aber nicht so groß. Für uns war es aber ausreichend. Die Lage ist etwa 3 Min zu Fuß zum Playa Coco, aber etwa 30 Min zu Fuß zum Zentrum. Wem das zu lange dauert, muss per Taxi fahren oder sich ein Golfcard oder Fahrrad leihen. Über die Preise sollte man sich im Vorfeld erkundigen. Es gibt keine Fahrräder am Hotel zu mieten, oder welche die für frei zur Verfügung stehen. Wir haben sie Zeit sehr genossen. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und wir haben super gut geschlafen. Den Poolbereich haben wir auch gut genutzt, da er auch sehr zum entspannen einläd :) Alles in Allem ein sehr toller Aufenthalt für uns. Kommen gerne wieder :)

We booked a balcony room, but upon initially seeing it we felt it lacked some basic hotel amenities I would expect for the price, including a full length mirror, fridge and desk w/chair. The staff were great at relocating us to a patio room that had the above amenities (except the fridge). We unfortunately arrived to rain storms, and Holbox isn’t well equipped for this type of weather. Nearly every road in the town flooded making travel around the island very difficult and expensive. El Nido is around a 25min walk into the centre of town but with the flooding, the walk was much more difficult and taxis were reluctant/refused to take us to and from the hotel. Another qualm was the food. Whilst breakfast was good, we had lunch there. We felt it was below average and very expensive for what it was. We previously ate at Nomad (a 15min walk) where the food was far superior and more affordable. My final issue is with their payment facilities, they only accepted cash, whilst Holbox has a reputation for cash only, we actually found that every other restaurant or beach club we visited accepted cards. The cash only policy is out-dated. The review might sound harsh, but let me assure you that every other element of our stay was great. The staff were helpful and kind, the rooms cleanliness was spotless and pool facilities were great. We also appreciated the quietness and privacy of our room. A couple improvements could make El Nido an exceptional stay.

The hotel is a tranquil place to stay. The soft music adds to the ambience. Brandon was very polite, friendly and professional. The rest of the staff were also very professional. The swimming pool and the area around it is a nice place to relax. The hotel is quite far from Centro so transport is required otherwise it's a 30-minute walk, which in the sun isn't advisable. There are very few restaurants nearby. The menu at the hotel has limited options. During my stay the cook was on holiday so the menu was even smaller. It would have been nice to have had more meal options available because as a vegetarian I am unable to choose widely. Besides this I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and I would really recommend guests to stay here as well.

Die Unterkunft war wie beschrieben sehr schön. Der Hotelbesitzer war sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Das Hotel konnte wie alles auf Holbox mit den einheimischen Taxis erreicht werden. Der Strand, Restaurants und kleine Supermärkte sind alle fußläufig mit circa 10 Minuten erreichbar. Zu erwähnen ist nur, dass das inbegriffene Frühstück nur aus Obst, Joghurt, Kaffee und Saft besteht. Sonstige Essen sind mit Mehrkosten verbunden. Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen, wir würden daher wiederkommen.

Frühstück ist ausreichend, Minuspunkte gibt es sowohl für die Entfernung zur Stadt (30min zu Fuss, Taxi One-way 20 Euro/USD.) als auch für die komplett überteuerte Essens und Getränkekarte. 15 Euro für ein wenig Guacamole, Getränke 15 USD für einen Margarita. Wir würden nixht nochmal kommen, die Personen die dort arbeiten sind jedoch sehr nett.

El Nido Staff were warm, caring, friendly, & so helpful with suggestions & local knowledge. making suggestions for us to explore on our own which we love to do. They were also available and willing to arrange any and every detail (which they handled with perfect, ease-filled results) . Breakfast & afternoon snacks & drinks were prepared with great attention to our special allergy needs & preferences. Fresh individually prepared Breakfasts included. Full restaurant services were not available when we were there. Surroundings were elegant AND comfortable & casual, a superb combination! The pool was sparkling, the grounds hand groomed,. Rooms tended with care. This intimate boutique hotel is our idea of Aaaah! We loved the location, quiet & serene.
