excelente localização. O hotel fica em uma cidade muito central na região de Rioja, com fácil acesso aos principais pontos de visita. O restaurante do hotel é muito bom. Achei apena que a área aberta do hotel (pátio) é muito mal explorada. Embora estivesse frio, os móveis estavam todos sujos e cobertos, de modo que não dava para usar.

Beautiful recently renovated hotel set in a centuries old mansion built into the 11th century wall of a quaint medieval village (current population about 7-800 people). 1 block walk from the village square and stunning views from the 2nd / 3 floors (common terrace on the 3rd floor (listed as 2nd floor since ground level is "zero" in many European hotels). Lovely staff and magnificent restaurant. Had lunch in their wine cellar which was fantastic.

Wonderful hotel in the quaint town of Briones. Tasteful and modern design with a beautiful courtyard and small terrace on the 2nd floor. We stayed in a junior suite that was spacious, well designed, with great views and probably the biggest and most comfortable bed we have ever experienced. The gastronomic restaurant is a true gem with a thoughtful menu boasting well-balanced, surprising flavors and combinations. A restaurant that’s easily on a Michelin star level. They also have a small but well equipped gym we really enjoyed. So overall the perfect stay!

Excellent service. Hi to Maria and the rest of the crew. Personalized service form the moment we walked in. Property is beautiful and clean. It was quiet this time of year but we prefer it that way. Room was ample, clean, beautiful with a great bed that is very comfortable. Perfect place for relaxing as a couple and enjoy good wine in Rioja. Taxi service was arranged by hotel. The grounds are beautifully maintained. They have kept the medieval nature of the surrounding with modern amenities at this great hotel. Food is delicious and Allegar as well as Calao is excellent in every way. The best tarta de queso Vasca that I’ve had had has been at the restaurant at the hotel. . Thanks for your hospitality. Will highly recommend

We had the opportunity to meet the owners who have a lovely story as to how and why they purchased the property and turned it into a luxury hotel. Less than 25 rooms total and the 3rd floor has stunning views of the Rioja Alta.

We loved that this boutique hotel was a former manor house from the 1500’s in the medieval hilltop town of Briones surrounded by vineyards. It was beautifully restored and renovated to blend the old with the modern The courtyard built against the town wall is charming and relaxing. Some of the historic features include the old wine cellar, now the Calado restaurant. The breakfast buffet was a work of art with a wonderful array of choices including different daily pastries. Dinner at the Allegar Restaurant was excellent with food and wine selection and beautifully prepared. We had a bottle of wine on the upper-level terrace overlooking the vineyards and enjoyed a memorable sunset.

By far my favorite place I have ever stayed. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience. The hotel was immaculate and felt so high end. From the attention to detail in the room, to the attentiveness of the staff, to the Michelin star restaurant located IN THE HOTEL. Make sure to set your alarm because you will not want to miss out on breakfast either. The town is small and has a strong feel of community. It is located amongst about 600 wineries in the area.

A fabulous hotel on top of an historical village. We stayed in room 16. A nice bottle of complimentary rioja wine was waiting for us. Just perfect on decoration, confort and cleanliness. Every night a little home made bag of cookies were left with a fresh flower. The restaurant is amazing and a must. Breakfast is also a feast with local and fresh products. The team is just wonderful, professional and extremely friendly. Always a smile and very helpful. Maria was a top hostess and she showed us around the place and the great cave! We can only highly recommend this place. We will return.

Beautifully renovated historic building, blending the old with new. Rooms a little dark and would have liked a bath. Restaurant staff for dinner and breakfast were excellent as was the food. Reception provided great advice and booked in a tour of the local Bodegas for us. Only downside was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and bar service was slow.

Stunning hotel in the middle of a medieval city. The rooms were spacious and beautiful and the bed is probably the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on in any hotel! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful directing us to wineries and other activities in the area, and the breakfast was the best we experienced in Spain. Can’t say enough good things!

Great hotel , great staff and food. But the church next block bell rings every 30mins or so 24 hours , prevents you from sleeping, I have never seen bell ringing at every hour of the day, including night time, very ridiculous and disappointing.

Great staff, our first time in Rioja. Hotel was amazing, excellent renovation combining old and new. Staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Special thanks to Maria for taking such good care of us. Desire also was fantastic in the morning, remembering all our beverage orders each day.

We enjoyed a day of walking, visiting the wine museum and eating lunch at Vivanca. The beds are extremely comfortable. The hotel restaurant is very good and, for lunch, the 4 Arcos is excellent and just around the corner (limited opening times). The church bells ring every quarter hour and then on the hour (maybe choose a room that faces the vineyard or courtyard if this is bothersome for you.

Nice newly renovated hotel in old manor house. Excellent breakfast and nice small city with structures from medieval times. Close and convenient location for visiting many Rioja wineries with tasting options. Driving on narrow and steep streets can be challenging at times so go slow.

The hotel in quiet and pretty village . The owner is super nice person, they have gourmet restaurant and the food deserve a michelin star. Room and bathroom was big, famous wineries are 10 minutes by car. Perfect place!

It was an excellent stop over in La Rioja. The town itself is incredibly gorgeous and charming. Note if you're there during a weekday, it's dead but that's anywhere in the countryside in Spain. We were there on a Tuesday and it was empty but that made even more magical. Great hotel and service.

My husband and I really enjoyed our two night stay here. The room was very comfortable and all sitting areas of this property were charming. Sunset on the terrace was spectacular. Dining was great in the cave, garden, and restaurant. Loved having wine suggestions for our dinners in the cave. The staff was welcoming, made great recommendations, and made sure we enjoyed our experience. We didn’t go out any where else at night because we didn’t want navigating challenges and because it was so comfortable and lovely at the hotel. Being close to Vivanco was nice too.

This hotel is elegantly decorated , we felt such a peace there … It has a restaurant, Allegar , that has Michelin stars ! The service at the restaurant and at the hotel was outstanding . As soon as we arrived, we felt right at home , like Javier and María , the owners wish that people feel in their Alma de Hotel . Javier came to meet us and showed the facilities in detail , along with stories of its transformation . The location of the hotel is excellent to make it a base to visit Museo Vivanco , Haro , Logroño… Stay in this hotel and enjoy it’s atmosphere 💝
