The hotel and apartment were great; my only complaint would be that it's a good distance from everything and no where is friendly towards pedestrians; there's a small shopping mall opposite the main road but everywhere else you need to bus/taxi/drive too (including the larger City Centre Bahrain shopping centre which is less than 300m away that you need to walk around and under the highway to get to) but this is more of an issue with Bahrain in general rather than the hotel.

The hotel really needs an upgrade, the first room provided was filthy, the door didn’t lock it was awful. I complained and they swiftly changed it. The second room was better but I wouldn’t stay again. This is my second visit to the hotel, I stayed here during f1

The rating on Expedia was deceptive. I would not have picked this place to stay. At best it deserves a rating of 5 or 6.

There was a lack of room cleaning - once in 9 days, despite us asking for it. We had to ask for clean towels and toilet paper which were delivered at 12:45 AM and the hotel staff didn't see anything wrong with it. Broken equipment - TV remote (it wasn't replaced) and the electronic "do not disturb", "clean the room" buttons did not work either. There was a strong smell coming from the drains in the bathroom and the hotel staff did not do anything about it either. We asked to be relocated to a different room and that was not actioned either. This hotel should NOT advertise as 4 star as it is nowhere near. As for the positives, the gym and sauna were ok. The hotel itself is in a decent location but so is Ibis next door.
