Driving up on the location made me instantly regret making a reservation. There are apparently two hotels in the same Building, the Wingate and the Baymont. There was no signage on the building and I would have thought it was close if it had not been for people walking in and out of the rooms. My room ended up on the third floor, on to find out they they do not have an elevator to the third floor (Well they do but it was out of order.) The room's curtains did not cover the window, and there was a bright parking lot right outside the window. I was able to maneuver the curtains so they blocked most (like 80%) of the light. In the morning, there no sugar free options for the free breakfast. Just pancakes, muffins, and sugary cereals. Asked if there was any plain oatmeal meal but the answer was no. Ended up going to a Starbucks. I would not suggest this place.

The good: Comfortable king-size bed; room included a coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator, and there was a good variety of items in the breakfast area. The bad: The premises were not well maintained; the only elevator broke down during our stay, therefore, we had to take the exterior stairs to get to and from our room on the 3rd floor; and nobody was at the front desk when we went to check out.

The property itself is going through a renovation and will seem offered when checking in as their front desk handles both Baymont Inn and Wingate Inn. The Wingate Inn rooms are on the third floor in the room I was in was quite nice.

No one was there when I checked in. Waited 15 minutes to see a human. The room was very damp and smelled like chemicals. Only 2 carts available and both were broken. The breakfast area was very dirty. The halls were hot. Would never stay there again.

The room was clean and comfortable. Only needed it for sleep. Gym was under renovation. Breakfast hot item was always sausage gravy and biscuits. I love some B&G but eggs would have been welcomed. Toast, waffles, and cereal were also available.

I expected a Wyndham hotel to be a Wyndham. This hotel was literally a Motel 6 with a Wyndham sign on it. First two floors all had exterior doors like a motel. Third floor had interior doors but the elevator to get there was outside. One rolling cart to the whole place. Funny smell to the whole place. Run down everything. Zero amenities - even the outdoor pool was closed with no apparent plan to reopen it. Room was semi clean but furniture was cheap and wobbly. Bed was clean and comfortable. That’s literally the only positive thing.

We were so disappointed with our choice. Spent one night on our journey home. The room itself was ok. Comfortable beds, good air conditioning, but we put out dogs kibble on a plate on the floor and woke up to it covered in little ants. The hallway could have used a good vacuuming. Outside, the grassy area was covered in dog feces. (Just pick up after your damn dogs) The breakfast the next morning was pitiful. Such an unwelcoming area with few choices. The dollar store pastries were a complete turnoff. Never again.

The Wingate on Miller Lane in North Dayton is the dirtiest hotel I have ever seen. The carpets were filthy, the towels and sheets were stained, and there was dirt and mold throughout the bathroom. It was completely disgusting. We did not stay and fortunately the manager did not argue and immediately refunded my money.

Would not recommend this hotel! When we got off the elevator, the hallway looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a very long time! Once in our room, we had no hand soap or any amenities at the sink. No hair dryer, the lotion container on the wall didn't have anything in it. There was an empty shampoo bottle in the shower. Was it cleaned? The ceiling above the bed looked like it could fall in. The washcloths were so thin you could see through them. There was a washcloth hanging on the sprinkler system. The breakfast area was not clean. The cereal area had a brand of cereal under the cylinders that was not one of the options that morning. The counters were not clean, nor were the walls. Their were not many options for breakfast either. We have stayed at Wyndham's before and have always been satisfied. For what we paid.. we were duped. We will think twice about staying with you again. Will definitely do our homework next time!

Was so disappointed when we first took the elevator, dirty, smeared yuk on the stainless steel,the room as clean, carpet is nasty, toilet seat has something on it, wouldnt come off, holes in the ceiling. Shower had marks going down tge walls, NASTY! Complained, they gave us a different room, woke up to an ANT infestation, just NASTY! I really desrve my money back, i have never had this type of experience in my life!

The property was filthy, room was gross, dirty and stained, faucets leaked, toilet and shower were gross, stained, old, with soap residues and long women’s hair, amenities very poor. Front desk staff didn’t seem to know what she was doing, wasn’t helpful at all in directing where the room was located or how to get in, and was still on shift and leaning over the counter sleeping upon check out. Was immediately told the TVs were out of service, and then was demanded an extra $50 for my two dogs as I entered the lobby a second time with my hands full trying to find how to get to my room. Corridors filthy with garbage, flickering lightbulbs on the staircases, parking lot full of litter and unsafe to walk dogs around without worry of them eating something. Almost seems like a half-way house. I was too tired after driving for 9 hours to find another nearby hotel for the night, I made due for a nap and checked out. Pros - bed was comfy, but sheets smelled and pillows supplied were all of a different variety/size/or well worn. I would NOT recommend this property. It needs major work from staff to cleanliness to safety of the property. I didn’t even leave a tip, as it doesn’t appear as though they have housekeepers on the property.

I had to get a room on third floor. Paint smell was overwhelming. I asked for a first floor room as I have a bad back. Door was opened which was concerning. Bathtub was dripping and I was too tired and overwhelmed to call to front desk. I slept with the TV on so I would not hear dripping.

Property is easy to get to off 75 - it’s very close -but that means it has quite a bit of interstate noise. Good value but you aren’t getting a 4 star kind of place. This latest visit the shower would not work, only the tub. I like that there are a large number of restaurants within a few blocks. Free breakfast is simple but good enough.

Mattress was decent and the bed clean. Room was pretty clean too. But attention to detail wasn’t there. Cracked window, broken louvers on the AC unit, something was surly missing from the wall in the bathroom as the exposed screws were still there. The hallway was a sauna, but room was ok.These things don’t really matter all that much, but they certainly don’t allow for a 4 - 5 star rating. I guess this is becoming average.. :-/ Lots of choices of places to eat close by..

Couldn’t find check in, the lobby isn’t plainly marked. Overall weird smell to the hotel and rooms. Room was drafty, and the reason why was because there was a big old crack in the window. Noisy too. Only thing to recommend is the price.

The property is not what you think of when you here Wyndham. I was expecting a nicer facility. The bathroom was outdated, the tub was dripping and I couldn't get it to stop. I guess for the money it's okay but there are better places to stay in the area.

First and foremost I would like to thank Ashely her hospitality. She’s been the only reason why we were able to tolerate the stay. The other staff members were absolutely rude. As POC I did not expect the other staff member (which are POC) to treat their guest like scum. I had to ask to change my room 4 times until I found a room I felt fairly comfortable in. That’s absolutely ridiculous! The first was incredibly to small and the toilet looked old. The second room had a roach. The third room had a filthy bathroom. The forth room was decent but after my first night I realized that shower’s wall weren’t clean. They do not offer room service. The intercontinental breakfast was basic. Why are they serving gravy with pork?! One would think there would be two types of gravy. I also don’t like that breakfast is no longer served after 9. I believe 1030am or 11am is the appropriate time to stop serving breakfast. This place is NOT fully renovated as advertised. I don’t like that my wife and I could not get extra blankets or towels. There were guests arguing with the staff being loud and rambunctious. Some guest were being thrown out with all of their belongings scattered all in the front of the establishment. The gave me and my family a very uncomfortable experience. This was NOT a four star experience. This felt and smelled like a 1 star experience. The photos are just some things we seen in the second room. I do believe bugs are coming from that hole in that room.

The gave me and my family a very uncomfortable experience. This was NOT a four star experience. This felt and smelled like a 1 star experience. The photos are just some things we seen in the second room. I do believe bugs are coming from that hole in that room.

No one was there when I checked in. Waited 15 minutes to see a human. The room was very damp and smelled like chemicals. Only 2 carts available and both were broken. The breakfast area was very dirty. The halls were hot. Would never stay there again.

Staff didn’t greet me at checkin. Was like I was a bother to them. Breakfast had basically nothing to eat. Toilet seat had plastic peeling off it. Was a dirty towel laying on bed when went in room. Heater ran not stop because it was under window that had a cold draft . Room key stopped working so had to go back to front desk to get another one. Overall not a good experience. Must be why all the other hotels in area had full parking lots and this one only had a few cars in lot. Will not stay here again.

When I checked in the young lady working on the evening of 10/10/25 was on the phone with someone in a foreign language. She never said “hi”, she just grabbed my ID and credit card and kept talking to her friend. She gave me my room card and only said my room number and the directions to the elevator. It was unwelcoming and rude. When I got to the room the window had been left open in 25 degree weather. It was freezing and the window was off track. It took me 5 minutes to close it. The room had some nasty elements that were over looked by the cleaning staff. The lotion bottle was overrunning with layers of old lotion and had dripped onto the floor. There overall experience was not good. Terrible

Property is easy to get to off 75 - it’s very close -but that means it has quite a bit of interstate noise. Good value but you aren’t getting a 4 star kind of place. This latest visit the shower would not work, only the tub. I like that there are a large number of restaurants within a few blocks. Free breakfast is simple but good enough.

Upon arrival (2am) I was charged a $25 fee for arriving late based on when I made my reservation. I tried to get a rational explanation for this from the desk clerk, but he couldn't explain it to my satisfaction, it was late, and I was tired so I let it ride on top of the exorbitant rack rate. (Big demand for Dayton Hamvention) Other than that, the property was safe, clean, comfy. Had some people hanging out and talking outside. Parking for large trucks was not great, but I would have had a better selection had I arrived earlier.

It was a quick one night stay. The purpose of our trip was to see the Dayton Air Show. We booked this location last minute because our previous hotel had bugs. Wingate is nice for one night only. They need to do a lot updates. Especially for being on such a busy road(Miller Lane) that has multiple hotels and restaurants around.

A family came in our door about an hour after we got there. They had a key card that opened our door, and said that our room number was their room. I used to be a maintenance person at a casino/hotel. This facility needs a good amount of work We went down for breakfast. There was not even 1 cup of coffee. There was 1 cup of yogurt and a couple apples. The trash was overflowing. I would not go there again. The beds were comfortable. The shower dripped constantly. There were only 2 towels. There were 4 of us. When we went down to get more, the desk clerk said we had to bring the towels back down when we were done with them. I did not do that.

We were so disappointed with our choice. Spent one night on our journey home. The room itself was ok. Comfortable beds, good air conditioning, but we put out dogs kibble on a plate on the floor and woke up to it covered in little ants. The hallway could have used a good vacuuming. Outside, the grassy area was covered in dog feces. (Just pick up after your damn dogs) The breakfast the next morning was pitiful. Such an unwelcoming area with few choices. The dollar store pastries were a complete turnoff. Never again.

No juice in the juice dispenser, apples in a tub of water, my kids thought the waffles were awful, the doughnuts were mini doughnuts like what you'd get from a gas station but out of a package and displayed on a platter. The toilet in the room overflowed when flushed and should onto the floor. Could hear people talking in adjoining rooms. When first checking in the key wouldn't work.

What they don't mention is that the Wingate in on the 3rd floor and Baymont was on the 1st and 2nd floors. Needed a key to access the 3rd. Room was clean, but need some serious renovation. Ceiling was peeling. Room at some point was painted a different color, but they didn't paint around light fixtures. Breakfast buffet was supposed to be from 7am to 9-10am. Leo was fantastic, helped us with the only luggage cart they had, which was almost inoperable on the carpet. Had to get us different key cards, first ones only worked on the outside door. Room was old, carpet musty smell, toilet seat ready to fall off. This property is in need of repairs.
