Loddon Retreat- picturesque country escape

Absolutely perfect location & venue for large groups. House was amazing & had everything we needed. Plenty of space & tha alpacas were an added bonus!

Nice place and quiet

The home was spectacular with large, well appointed communal spaces, indoors and out. The bedrooms were also generous and comfortable. The views from every window were idyllic.The location is fantastic, very close to Daylesford and a short drive to Kyneton, Trentham and the surrounding features of the area. Loved being able to take a short stroll through the property to the gorgeous Glenlyon General Store for a coffee or light meal.

I chose Loddon Retreat as it was large house and would cater for my siblings given it had five bedrooms. I also liked the rural aspect. I celebrated my 70th birthday on the weekend we spent there. The large dining table was perfect for our dinner. The house has 3 living areas if you include the covered outdoor area - we used all three areas which was perfect. Also the bed linen was lovely to sleep in. We all loved the house and were sad to leave!

We had a wonderful time. The interior of the house is just wonderful. Beautifully clean and appointed with every appliance you could need provided . The outside of residence could have been better with lawn area and garden not up to standard shown in photos on web site. BBQ also dirty and had to be cleaned before use. Alpacas were the highlight for my grandchildren.
