Right next to Salamanca, above a great pub with free parking. Rooms are tired and basic but so am I. For the price, parking and convenience its worth it if your intent is just a base to operate out of/lay your head. Its pub accommodation, friendly, good value and does what it says on the box.

Gorgeous area of Hobart, especially with the autumn leaves atm. Pub had live music that finished by 8, good meals and friendly staff. The rooms are renovated and very comfy! The coffee machines in the room a nice bonus!

We spent 2 nights at this hotel. The rooms have been renovated and are really comfortable and well appointed. Coffee pod machine is an added bonus. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Free parking and great location to explore Hobart city. We were happy with our meals in the restaurant. Would highly recommend.

The cleanliness and condition of Room 19 was abhorrent - we walked in and there was a dirty sock on the floor, one lamp missing and the other barely hanging on the wall, a window that would not stay open, brown sweat stains on one of the pillows, torn and ripped bedding ensembles, cracks in the walls, cracked and missing tiles in the bathroom, a toaster that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in well over 5 years, the bathroom door couldn't close, and the shower was either piping hot or freezing cold (there was no in between) and lost total water pressure. We are very easy going people and are do not care for high end fancy accommodation, but the state this room was in was decrepit and appeared as if no staff had visited the room in years. Only reason we have not given one star was the manager was easy about giving us a new room, but the fact we needed to ask for a new room is a problem. Keep in mind you're on top of a pub, extremely loud in the rooms and cigarette smoke constantly coming through the windows.

Lovely location, really good views from our room. Our room was dirty. Severely cracked toilet bowl, which was dirty, wouldn’t have passed basic health standards. Someone else’s hair in bath tub. Thick dust along bed headboard. Washing in bags piled outside of our bedroom door. Dirty carpets but the sheets were clean, I checked them out thoroughly.

I liked where the hotel was situated, beautiful Battery Point. Room was clean and tidy. Had a meal in the restaurant there, was enjoyable. Would stay here again.

Directed at the condition of the room. Very poor condition and unclean. It looked like the room wasn't vacuumed or dusted for quite a while. The small fan provided was laden with dust that spewed out when it was used. The facilities were archaic. The bathroom had soap and body wash that had been open and used previously. On the positive side, the check in was well done and location was perfect for me.

Disgusting accommodation. Worse than a backpackers lodge. All rooms are on the first floor accessed by a central corridor. The paint work is chipped and filthy. The bedroom door hasnt been decorated, like the room, for years if not decades. The carpet was unbelieveably filthy. The bedroom was quite disgusting. I have seen homeless shelters with better decoration. The bed sheets had been changed although the sheets were so thin you could see the mattress colours beneath. The electrical wiring was most definitely a tragedy waiting to happen. I stayed 5 minutes and just walked out. There was no point going to the reception to ask for a room change as I am certain all bedrooms would be identical. Bottom line - thepub may be fine but the rooms are not.

Great location and nice and quiet. Rooms small but were great for a quick getaway. For at the on site restaurant was delicious. Easy walk to Salamanca and on site free parking was a bonus

Right next to Salamanca, above a great pub with free parking. Rooms are tired and basic but so am I. For the price, parking and convenience its worth it if your intent is just a base to operate out of/lay your head. Its pub accommodation, friendly, good value and does what it says on the box.

Gorgeous area of Hobart, especially with the autumn leaves atm. Pub had live music that finished by 8, good meals and friendly staff. The rooms are renovated and very comfy! The coffee machines in the room a nice bonus!

I liked where the hotel was situated, beautiful Battery Point. Room was clean and tidy. Had a meal in the restaurant there, was enjoyable. Would stay here again.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel. The rooms have been renovated and are really comfortable and well appointed. Coffee pod machine is an added bonus. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Free parking and great location to explore Hobart city. We were happy with our meals in the restaurant. Would highly recommend.

All facilities were clean, staff were friendly and helpful, great parking for walking around Battery Point and Hobart CBD in general. Trip was for dark mofo. Blackout blinds in the room were perfect, bed was comfy.

Genuinely one of the best places to stay in hobart for affordability and just overall enjoyment. The rooms are lovely, tv has all the streaming services you need, bathroom is clean and beautiful. Had delicious food down at the bistro, plenty of parking and its in the perfect spot where its quiet but so close to city you can walk to the cittly centre in under 15 minutes. Will be recommending to all my friends and family to stay here when they visit hobart.

Friendly and very helpful staff. Great location with on-site parking. In an historically beautiful part of Hobart. Awesome food in restaurant , would highly recommend The Prince of Wales. Will certainly visit again .
