Gorgeous 3 bedroom - 9 mins to Hartford, Connecticut

The house and the owners are perfect. We stayed here for a concert in Hartford and it was perfect only being 15 minutes from the venue.

Overall I was OK. Wouldn’t stay there again. Had to chase to get the address of the location. Finally called VRBO and they got it for me mid morning. There were sheets from the previous person on the desk. No pillow cases on one of the beds, wet towels on back of bathroom door. The lawn was a foot tall with lots of weeds. Feel sorry for the neighbors. Furniture was beat.

Overall we were generally OK with our stay! Improvements that would be appreciated: Upgrade Dining and Living room furniture, it was dated and in poor condition. Upgrade Kitchen Utensils, no cutting knife, poor quality and quantity of Pots and Pans , the two can openers did not work, it was very frustrating preparing meals. The silverware was low quality. Its hard enough to be away from our families working all week your experience did not fell like a home away from home but more of a cheep apartment when I was in college. Maybe host should stay there for a week!

We were satisfied with our stay after a rough beginning. Would of appreciated a faster response from the owner. We called when we first arrived at 4:00 pm because of missing items and we did not hear back from them until 2.5 hours later. Also, the supplies needed were not provided to the following morning after 9:30 am. Additional things that need to be improved are: -The place needs new pots and pans. Many of the pans at the place are rusted. Baking sheets are needed. -Large bowls would be appreciated for mixing and serving food. -Tissues were not provided. -The side porch was not accessible. Would of been nice to sit in it. -The living room had pictures on the website with two chairs and a sofa. When we arrived, there was only one chair available. With a little more attention, this property would be a great VRBO experience.

Positives: Good location, easy to get to. It's nice to have a large driveway, and the back yard looks great for bringing your pet (we didn't have ours this time). The owner was very responsive/ helpful. Negatives: Overall, the place felt as though it had been turned over too quickly. It didn't feel clean- there was lots of hair on the sheets and in the bathroom. A lot of the infrastructure of the home (toilet paper dispenser, heating elements, walls) had damage, which just left an "unhomey" vibe. A lot of the furniture felt very bare-bones. For example, the sheets on the bed felt very cheap with a plastic mattress liner. There was a fire alarm that was chirping all night. I suppose one gets what one pays for, and this is a three- bedroom, which is nice- each room was a comfortable size. Nevertheless, a little more attention to detail is needed to make this place worth it.
