24시간 온천을 즐길 수 있는 곳으로 도착하자 바로 마중나와 차량까지 캐리어 2개를 들고 3층의 숙소까지 전달해주었다. 근무하시는 모든분들이 항상 편안하게 지낼 수 있도록 신경써 주시는 마음이 너무도 고마웠다. 편안하게 잘지내고 왔습니다. 석식,조식 모두 만족합니다. 감사합니다.

We (a couple) had a wonderful time in this very nice Ryokan. We stayed 2 days. The food was delicious and of high quality, the private onsen as well as the public mixed awesome very enjoyable. I would highly recommend Yusakaso and thank you so much for this unforgettable experience! Arigato gozaimasu!

The hospitality at Yusakaso was absolutely stellar. Extremely clean, gracious staff, delicious presentable breakfast and dinner served in-room. The Japanese-style bed was comfortable, and my room was spacious. There is one outdoor mixed-gender onsen which becomes women-only from 20:00-21:00 (8-9pm) and two indoor onsens for women-only and two for men-only. Each day, guests can reserve the private onsen for 30 minutes. There are 3 hotel rooms with private open-air onsens. Please note the hotel rooms without private onsens do not include showers, so you will need to shower in the shared gendered shower rooms. (You use these same showers before getting into the onsen.) The hotel was easy to locate. It is a 16 minute walk up-hill from Hakone-Yumoto station. I would recommend bringing only light luggage if possible. There is a bus that takes passengers from the hotel to the train station at 9:40am for 200¥. The hotel provides mosquito repellent machines, make sure you use them if you are susceptible. My first night I was bit all over my face and arms before learning about the machine. Overall, I had the most wonderful and relaxing stay at Yusakaso. My experience was very needed after surviving the rush of Tokyo!

Booked one night here because the onsen looked nice, now I wish I would have stayed a whole week. We arrive to quite friendly staff who treated us like royalty. The hotel has a traditional Japanese feel that I haven’t experienced anywhere else in Japan! To our surprise our room came included with Breakfast and dinner all elaborately served to the room. The staff did everything to make our stay enjoyable and I can’t recommend this place enough!

We had a wonderful stay at Yusakaso! It was our first time in a ryokan and everything was explained clearly upon arrival. We were lucky to stay on the 3rd floor as this is the floor with the onsen. On the women's side there are two women-only onsen, on the men's side there is one men-only onsen, and outside there is a shared onsen for men and women. There is also a private onsen that can be booked by everyone in the ryokan for 30 minutes per evening (availability until midnight so everyone gets a chance to go, even if it is late). My boyfriend and I were surprised at how much we loved the onsen. The shared one made us a bit nervous, but I (female) went in over 6 times and was only ever alone or with my boyfriend. When other people arrived, they would give me privacy until I was out instead. If women are concerned, there is a women's hour at the outdoor onsen from 8-9pm, and it is men-only from midnight to 6am as a safety measure. Upon arrival we received slippers and yukata, both very cozy. We loved the tatami floors, clean private bathroom (toilet and sink only - bathe in the onsen), window overlooking the hills, and kaiseki meals for breakfast and dinner. The meals do taste fairly fishy which can be difficult in the mornings, but we loved it for the cultural experience. We knew there may be noise from young children, but aside from some loud steps during one of the evenings it was otherwise very quiet. We would recommend Yusakaso to couples, families, and friends!

This was a perfect spot if you are looking for a traditional Japanese onsen experience. The staff were courteous and thoughtful, and the service in room was excellent. The private baths, as well as the public bath outside, were clean and well maintained, and the outdoor bath was tastefully designed. Traditional japanese dinner served in the room was very tasty. I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a retreat!

Yusakaso understands Japanese hospitality to a T! This was my boyfriend and I's first time to a ryokan, but we were readily accepted and treated like royalty. The food at this ryokan is exceptional. Super clean rooms with well cared for tatami, with great views into the surrounding plants/garden. The onsens themselves were incredible. The private onsen is a perfect amount of space, with rolling windows/doors that can make it an open air experience if desired. The public onsen was also gorgeous-- however, a slight warning to those who have never been in an onsen. We *did* have another couple staying at the ryokan, using the communal onsen with us, who were doing inappropriate activities in the water (if you catch my drift). However, this is in no way the ryokan's fault and can't really be helped.

Very approachable for a more cultural, traditional experience. Was very easy for an American foreigner like myself to have a truly authentic experience. Staff is incredibly hospitable, helpful, patient, and capable. My first ryokan experience that I have Yusakaso to thank. Quality onsens, extraordinarily clean.

Rent och städat, fantastisk personal och man kände sig väldigt bortskämd! Riktigt bra traditionell mat, dock svårt att få vegetarisk. Kanske kan gå om man hör av sig i god tid innan. Inga problem om man kan äta fisk.

모든 직원분들이 아주 친절하였고, 음식도 정말 맛있었습니다. 침구가 불편하긴 했지만 이건 해당 객실 특성상 어쩔 수 없는 부분인 것 같습니다. 바닥에 까는 형태의 이불에 익숙하지 않은 분들은 침대가 있는 방을 예약하는 걸 추천합니다. 아주 만족스러운 여행이었습니다.

Un séjour inoubliable ! Nous souhaitions découvrir un ryokan et les fameux onsen. Mais aussi vivre l’expérience de dormir sur un matelas dans un chambre uniquement composée de tatamis. À cette expérience géniale grâce à la gentillesse de tout le personnel s’ajoute les incroyables dîners et petits déjeuners japonais.

This ryokan with onsen is in a beautiful location. The staff was very friendly and the dinner and breakfast were that of a traditional ryokan, which we very much enjoyed (fish, soup, pickles). We were a bit wary of sleeping on the traditional bedding, but it was surprisingly comfortable and we both had a great nights sleep after soaking in the gorgeous onsen! The larger one is located outdoors which was so lovely with the fog and steam coming off the water. There's an indoor/outdoor onsen as well, that you can book for one hour which we didn't use as the outdoor one is much more scenic. The place itself needs a major update. The decor is lacking and it really needs to be revamped to include better lighting. There are stains on some of the wall coverings and the lighting in the room was so bad (overhead bright fluorescent lamp) and a small table lamp that was just for reading. This ryokan with onsen is in a beautiful location. The staff was very friendly and the dinner and breakfast were that of a traditional ryokan, which we very much enjoyed (fish, soup, pickles). We were a bit wary of sleeping on the traditional bedding, but it was surprisingly comfortable and we both had a great nights sleep after soaking in the gorgeous onsen! The larger one is located outdoors which was so lovely with the fog and steam coming off the water. There's an indoor/outdoor onsen as well, that you can book for one hour which we didn't use as the outdoor one is much more scenic. The place itself needs a major update. The decor is lacking and it really needs to be revamped to include better lighting. There are stains on some of the wall coverings and the lighting in the room was so bad (overhead bright fluorescent lamp) and a small table lamp that was just for reading. We used one of the floor lamps from the hallway to give the room a bit more ambiance, which helped, but was still very dimly lit. It has potential for being super cute and for the money spent should definitely be overhauled. You have to take a bus or taxi as it's too far to walk from the train station if you have luggage (maybe a 30 minute walk) which isn't a problem, but the trip back from the hotel was a bit more difficult because the bus was standing room only because everyone in the area was checking out at the same time.

Each day, guests can reserve the private onsen for 30 minutes. There are 3 hotel rooms with private open-air onsens. Please note the hotel rooms without private onsens do not include showers, so you will need to shower in the shared gendered shower rooms. (You use these same showers before getting into the onsen.) The hotel was easy to locate. It is a 16 minute walk up-hill from Hakone-Yumoto station. I would recommend bringing only light luggage if possible. We had a wonderful stay at Yusakaso! It was our first time in a ryokan and everything was explained clearly upon arrival. We were lucky to stay on the 3rd floor as this is the floor with the onsen. On the women's side there are two women-only onsen, on the men's side there is one men-only onsen, and outside there is a shared onsen for men and women. There is also a private onsen that can be booked by everyone in the ryokan for 30 minutes per evening (availability until midnight so everyone gets a chance to go, even if it is late). My boyfriend and I were surprised at how much we loved the onsen. The shared one made us a bit nervous, but I (female) went in over 6 times and was only ever alone or with my boyfriend. When other people arrived, they would give me privacy until I was out instead. If women are concerned, there is a women's hour at the outdoor onsen from 8-9pm, and it is men-only from midnight to 6am as a safety measure. Upon arrival we received slippers and yukata, both very cozy. We loved the tatami floors, clean private bathroom (toilet and sink only - bathe in the onsen), window overlooking the hills, and kaiseki meals for breakfast and dinner. The meals do taste fairly fishy which can be difficult in the mornings, but we loved it for the cultural experience. We knew there may be noise from young children, but aside from some loud steps during one of the evenings it was otherwise very quiet. We would recommend Yusakaso to couples, families, and friends!

Thankfully you could reserve the use of the private family onsen for 30 minutes. We used this time to experience the hot springs and took advantage of the shower facilities there since there is only a toilet and sink in your room. We wanted to experience the traditional Japanese Ryokan and this is really it. The food was very good and plentiful, and again quite traditional. We stayed here just for one night and enjoyed all the highlights of Hakone using the 2 Days free pass. This was one of our favorite areas to visit, and the experience at Yusakaso was definitely part of it. We were very pleased.

Booked one night here because the onsen looked nice, now I wish I would have stayed a whole week. We arrive to quite friendly staff who treated us like royalty. The hotel has a traditional Japanese feel that I haven’t experienced anywhere else in Japan! To our surprise our room came included with Breakfast and dinner all elaborately served to the room. The staff did everything to make our stay enjoyable and I can’t recommend this place enough!

Meget venligt personale, der konstant stod klar til at hjælpe og gjorde en dyd ud af sit arbejde. De serverede overdådige måltider, og man fik virkelig lov at smage en masse traditionel, japansk mad. Der var lækre badefaciliteter, og det fælles onsen var frit tilgængeligt hele tiden.

Great place to feel the traditional Japanese Onsen and hospitality. There is an onsen for women and you can shower in the locker room since you only have a toilet and sink in your room. The walk and stairs pass a beautiful river, but the steep stairs with luggage is not advised . Take a shuttle or cab if you want an easy walk. It’s 15 minutes uphill. The food is overwhelming, so don’t eat before arriving. Dinner and breakfast was way too much to eat, but everything was enjoyable and a great experience.

The food was amazing and our host Tomo and the staff really made us feel at home. With the help of a translation app, we were able to communicate without a problem. The private bath was great for our family to use. The property was on a hill so it would be a little too much to walk with luggages but otherwise totally walkable to the train station.

The hospitality at Yusakaso was absolutely stellar. Extremely clean, gracious staff, delicious presentable breakfast and dinner served in-room. The Japanese-style bed was comfortable, and my room was spacious. There is one outdoor mixed-gender onsen which becomes women-only from 20:00-21:00 (8-9pm) and two indoor onsens for women-only and two for men-only. Each day, guests can reserve the private onsen for 30 minutes. There are 3 hotel rooms with private open-air onsens. Please note the hotel rooms without private onsens do not include showers, so you will need to shower in the shared gendered shower rooms. (You use these same showers before getting into the onsen.) The hotel was easy to locate. It is a 16 minute walk up-hill from Hakone-Yumoto station. I would recommend bringing only light luggage if possible. There is a bus that takes passengers from the hotel to the train station at 9:40am for 200¥. The hotel provides mosquito repellent machines, make sure you use them if you are susceptible. My first night I was bit all over my face and arms before learning about the machine. Overall, I had the most wonderful and relaxing stay at Yusakaso. My experience was very needed after surviving the rush of Tokyo!

Gives you an experience that Japanese locals would do on their time away from the city while also being able to cater to foreign travelers. Onsen was amazing with a lovely backdrop of the Hakone mountains. and the food was a great alternative to the overhyped cuisine many people recommend over social media. Staff was welcoming and accommodating. Spoke English and communicated the rules clearly and described the dishes we had. The room itself was spacious, smelled sweet of tatami flooring and was air conditioned. 10/10 would recommend to anyone travelling to Hakone If you are limited in mobility, travel arrangements can be made as the properly is located 15minutes uphill

The building is a beautiful building of traditional hot spring. We enjoyed the Onsen. The meals, dinner and breakfast, were not prepared. They said they were going to close the inn completely after the Golden Week but they opened because of us. The convenience stores, Family Mart was a good walking distance if you love to walk for a distance, not convenient.

Booked one night here because the onsen looked nice, now I wish I would have stayed a whole week. We arrive to quite friendly staff who treated us like royalty. The hotel has a traditional Japanese feel that I haven’t experienced anywhere else in Japan! To our surprise our room came included with Breakfast and dinner all elaborately served to the room. The staff did everything to make our stay enjoyable and I can’t recommend this place enough!

We had a wonderful stay at Yusakaso! It was our first time in a ryokan and everything was explained clearly upon arrival. We were lucky to stay on the 3rd floor as this is the floor with the onsen. On the women's side there are two women-only onsen, on the men's side there is one men-only onsen, and outside there is a shared onsen for men and women. There is also a private onsen that can be booked by everyone in the ryokan for 30 minutes per evening (availability until midnight so everyone gets a chance to go, even if it is late). My boyfriend and I were surprised at how much we loved the onsen. The shared one made us a bit nervous, but I (female) went in over 6 times and was only ever alone or with my boyfriend. When other people arrived, they would give me privacy until I was out instead. If women are concerned, there is a women's hour at the outdoor onsen from 8-9pm, and it is men-only from midnight to 6am as a safety measure. Upon arrival we received slippers and yukata, both very cozy. We loved the tatami floors, clean private bathroom (toilet and sink only - bathe in the onsen), window overlooking the hills, and kaiseki meals for breakfast and dinner. The meals do taste fairly fishy which can be difficult in the mornings, but we loved it for the cultural experience. We knew there may be noise from young children, but aside from some loud steps during one of the evenings it was otherwise very quiet. We would recommend Yusakaso to couples, families, and friends!

E’ stata un’esperienza fantastica. Vivere le abitudini domestiche del Giappone di un tempo. Cena e colazione tipica giapponese effettuata privatamente in modo da poterla vivere pienamente, utilizzo di abbigliamento tipico (Yukata), dormire su futon (più comodi di quanto pensassi). Onsen sia privato che pubblico disponibile con vasche interne oppure all’esterno della struttura. Lo consiglio vivamente se siete in zona Kamakura o Hakone, ma se dovete trasferirvi da Tokyo a Kyoto vale la pena pernottare una notte presso questa struttura.

En suite toilet, not shower ( as onsens) It's a 9/10 hotel But the option of private was great, there is also a same sex pool, and you can then move into the mixed pool which is outside and in a lovely space.
