The property was ok . We booked it because there was a pool , when we got there the pool was not open . It was by the lake but you couldn’t swim in the lake by the hotel .

My Husband, son, Niece and I stayed the weekend of January 12 for a basketball tournament. We really enjoyed the lake view and all the decor in the room. This place is probably amazing in the summer! There is a play area for kids, boat ramp, seasonal pool, a BBQ and picnic table (we were downstairs lakeside if that matters) outside the back door facing the lake. Beautiful views, quiet and serene. A park right down the street that is lit up at night for night play. Great place! We can’t wait to come back. Clean room, fridge, microwave, and a little restaurant on the premises.

The property looks clean, the staffs are very friendly. Walk distance to main street library park etc. The only thing I don't like is the dock should for guests only, but some people came from other places can also stay and fishing .

Older property but are trying to keep things updated. Felt clean and safe just old, which is part of its charm. Pool is basic but refreshing. Walk to the lake is not far and there’s a nice grassy area to hang out. Only complaint is there’s a lack of outlets to plug in devices, and chipped paint but we enjoyed our stay.

Unbelievable lakeside rooms- fishing right out your back door- Hikes close by- Wright, Howard & Buckingham peaks on Mount Konocti. Checkin was easy & super friendly- Will absolutely be back!

It's a nice motel, has been for years, in the middle of updating rooms, lots for kids to do, boat docks, kayak and paddleboard rental, good restaurant next door, the pricier rooms have the best beds, there are multiple cottages as well as rooms, beautiful views.

Love this place and stay here whenever in town to visit friends (if there's a room available; in summer it's almost always full!) Friendly, helpful staff and clean rooms, right on the lake, with a swimming pool and kayaks for the lake. Reminds me of a New England style camp I saw in the movies. But it's California, on the largest natural fresh water lake in the state. Thanks for a great visit every time, Skylark~!*

We used their EV charging and it is of course a slow charge. Their fee was $25.00 per hour for just the parking and the charge was extra. We were told by the owners wife that they did not run the EV charger and knew nothing about how it worked. Our total was $191.00 We were never informed that there was a charge for parking. We were the only electric car there and there were 2 spaces. Feel very cheated.

I like to stay at Skylark because they are Bass Fisherman Friendly. Great parking for truck and boat trailer. It's 5min to the launch ramp. Breakfast is next door and across the street.

The property is well maintained. Out issues was that there was an overuse of bleach as a cleaning product in the room and the order was overpowering. As we checked in very late in the evening, we felt there wasn't much we could do about it. I slept the night with a face mask as the fume were hurting my nose and throat. We let the management know if the morning as we checked out and they said that they use bleach to make sure the room is well sanitized. I can appreciate that, however, even hospitals don't use that much bleach. Other than that, it was a nice, older facility that is well maintained.

The older section which allows dogs has deferred maintenance issues. The room smelled like BO and the bathroom smelled of mildew. The sheets were poor quality and the floor turned your feet black. The last time I stayed it smelled of bleach (now I know why). Noise from mini fridge all night and woken up by dogs barking next door at 5am made for poor sleep. However, it is right on the lake in a beautiful setting and we would stay again if in the newer section.

A nice motel on the Lake. I was in a Lake view room which was definitely worth the extra amount for the view. Very strong cleaning smell at check in - I needed to leave windows open and fan on to clear the smell. It was a bit noisy with a large family group with children that took over the back lawn. Children started yelling while playing outside at 8:00 am and adults were drinking outside until 11 pm, even though quiet hours were posted as 10 pm. Would have been helpful to have a channel guide for the tv in the toom.

We were excited pulling into the property and everything was beautiful outside, unfortunately inside the room paint was peeling from the walls in multiple areas, there were spider webs all in the bathroom window and the vanity in the bathroom was falling apart from water damage. The bed was the hardest bed I’ve slept on in years! So disappointing.

Overall this is a very clean and conveniently located hotel. The beds are a bit soft or spongy and feel worn as are the chairs in the room. Other than those issues its a great place to stay and i will stay there again.

A very pretty vacation resort with a nice view of the oldest Lake on the planet. The plumbing was rather worn, The TV small and well used. The grounds were very nicely groomed.

The room was spotless and large. The a/c worked perfectly. The grounds well kept and what a view of the lake from the window. And then the back door to the patio and provided barbecue, table and chairs looking out on the lake to top it all off. Will come again for sure

Very clean and comfortable property. The facilities are older construction but very well kept and maintained. The rooms and beds were very comfortable and the service was excellent. A few of the lake was fantastic.

Location was great … registering was a bit of a hassle them wanting all kinds of ID, verification… etc. … but all in all this place is probably the better of the few motels available in Lakeport. I think they’re worried about credit card fraud etc.

Terrible experience. No hot water in the bathroom. The room was not cleaned by the maids. No outlets for charging phone. When problems were given to registration, they did nothing, with no apology or concern to rectify the situation. They offered no type of compensation. Worst experience at a motel we have ever had.

Had a wonderful stay. Loved that it was quiet on a Friday night. Rooms were clean, quality of interior design was great, its got peels and chips and paint isnt perfect as expected for an older motel. Dont expect 5 star hotel, its a motel, we got a great rate for a motel that was clean, right on the lake, activities for kids and walking distance to Main st. There is also a great public park walking distance. Will stay again. Loved meeting the resident cat! Highlight of our departure.

Went in springtime when the lake was full and the flowers were in bloom. Beautiful location right on the lake, the grounds are great for families. Room was big and comfortable, clean. Staff at front desk was super friendly.

This hotel is located by the lake on main street. Easy walk to a park or Angelina basket which serves great code and pastry and lunch menu is awesome too. Stages were friendly. Thiwish they provide better quality shampoo and conditioner though.room had a strong order

I walked into the place and was blown away by the spectacular view. The staff was great, in helping me get transportation to and from a party on a windy back road with a late pick up. Was VERY appreciative at that. The only negatives are that the beds are very hard, and the worst part for me is there are no actual cups, everything is plastic which is terrible for the environment, especially at a lake. No one wants to drink a cup of coffee out of a paper cup.
