It was very stripped down. No carpeting, metal box frame under the bed. The dresser drawer had been ripped part and poorly put back together. The exterior door to the hotel did not latch. The door to the room had a good 3/4 inch gap between the door and the frame. The door had a large sign that stated"Bolt the door for your own protection."

Window shades held up by duct tape. Only one ice machine not working. Dirty carpeting throughout the building.

It was conveniently located and easy to get to. However, it was dirty, pretty broken and all of the amenities except wifi were not available.

It was ok. A bit outdated in some features. No elevator in building

Asked front desk clerk for a couple of extra towels since it was a jacuzzi room and he refused. Not that it mattered because jacuzzi didn’t work and when I brought it to their attention he merely stared at me and said and did nothing so I checked out in disgust and went somewhere else

The place look decent but the hall way looked dirty and had a strange smell. Some of the electrical outlets did not work. Curtains barely covered the light. Hair dryer did not work.

A decent basic place. Things are getting a little run down here and there, but it's clean and the room is large. There are no hangers or hooks to hang your jacket on. Some little things like that they could improve.

Almost across the road from SUNY Albany Health Sci campus. Otherwise in the middle of nowhere. Closest place to Rensselaer Amtrak, but 35 min walk is too long for most. Decent condition overall. Efficient desk. Plenty of parking. Quiet.

It was ok... a lot if garbage around facility. Price was enticing though, especially for last minute.

Laundry not working unfortunately, great value for the money could use a little more cleaning though

The room smelled bad and was extremely dirty. Everything there, from the chairs to the refrigerator to the carpet, was extremely old and needed to be replaced.

Terrible smelling and dirty

This hotel redefined for me what I previously thought was possible for a one star hotel. The level of filth was frankly shocking. Everything was rundown, dank, dirty, broken, cracked, smelled bad. I wanted to leave the moment I walked in. I don’t consider myself overly sensitive and I’ve stayed in lots of cheap hotels but this was jaw droppingly disgusting. I wish I had never set foot in that place.

This was the worst room we have Ever had. Had to remove bugs (I think they were cockroaches). Smells bad, carpet & walls and furniture dirty and in need of repair. Floors dirty in the corners and near the walls. Wall paper stapled at seams. Holes in the wall patched but not painted. Moldy and falling apart ceiling. Had a large puddle of water under the bed and AC when we woke up in the morning. I wouldn’t expect such a bad room for the price we paid. I wouldn’t stay here at Any price.

Checked in. Got into the room and it smelled terrible and was unclean. Lifted up one of the mattresses and found so much black particles that we were not even sure what it was. Stayed 5 minutes and left. Dropped off the cards and told them we were not staying.

We got to our room & found heavily stained linens & pillows. We asked for another room & found it no better. We turned in our keys & left foe anotjet hotrl

The most disgusting place ever so dirty DO NOT STAY

I found it to be unsafe. It looked like a place with rooms rented by the month for transients, which is not a problem except they were sitting outside their rooms and I did not feel safe. My room was filthy, vinyl bedspread that looked like a table cloth. I lifted it up to see the sheets, they were not tucked in and came off exposing the mattress pad that had blood on it in many areas. I went to the office and said I could not stay here. They said I had to contact you for a refund because they did not want to pay the $20 processing fee you would have charged them. I could not get through your phone AI. I kept putting in the invoice# and it would not go through. I would like a refund. Please direct me as to how this can be accomplished.

Odor of mildew/mold everywhere. Dead insects in room.

I booked a King bed/NON SMOKING room. Checking in was a breeze, the guy was very friendly and helpful. Went to my room, and I immediately noticed a stench of nasty stale smoke.. gross! So much for a non smoking room!! The room itself was nasty... dirty, dusty and not clean at all. Stains on the walls. The bed had a metal frame, which every time you moved, it made a noise. The bottom of the tub had packed in dirt... as in, they don't scrub/clean the tub. Blinds and curtains broken. Sadly, they were completely booked, so why ask to be moved. When I checked out, there was a different person working. I asked to speak to a manager... apparently there is no manager, I was told " they just work there, no manager works here". That tells me alot, no one seems to care about cleanliness at all. Needless to say, I will never stay there again. I'm thankfully it was for only one night while passing through town. Stay cleae of this place!!!

Spacious rooms, great staff. One issue but due to medical conditions the hallways had a strong smoke smell.

The staff at this property were really nice, and check in/out was super easy. I would not, however, recommend staying here. I stayed in a room that smelled like cigarette smoke despite the whole building being labelled as non-smoking (I now have to wash all of the clothes I brought with me), there were huge chips in the paint, obvious replastering of the ceiling, dust on the ceiling, hair in the bed, the thinnest blanket of all time, no Kleenexes, no garbage bins, there were stains on the walls, no hot water in the sink, the shower produced water from the tap and shower head simultaneously, there was a huge brown stain on one of the towels, and the safety lock on the door was broken.

Our room is in need of some serious attention. The only good thing was that it was spacious and our sheets seemed to be clean. The rest was kind of gross. The two chairs in the room for sitting in front of the TV were stained with so many different things, I couldn’t believe a business would allow them to remain. Same goes for the office chair. The walls were all stained up and chipping. The shower never did get hot and the shower handle all but ripped out of the wall when turning on. Although I still can’t wrap my head around how a business can operate like this…I guess you get what you pay for?

There were sheer curtains on the window with only narrow side panels which did not close. I was uncomfortable regarding privacy, so I used a clip to hold the side panels together and partially block the view. Also, because the drapes did not close we were awake at first light. Bedding and bathroom were clean.

We got there, checked in. It didn’t look like the property we saw on Expedia. We got to our room. Went out for supper across the street. Came back to find the bathroom had water all over the floor. We tried to use the phone in the room, it didn’t work. So I walked up and reported what happened. The owner came and looked, bought old worn out towels, put them on the floor. She then proceeded to go upstairs the room above us. She couldn’t find anything. Another hour goes by, went into the bathroom water was still leaking from the ceiling. It looked like it was ready to collapse. In the meantime the upstairs room sounded like a lot of people and children, the children running around. When the owner came back to check the leak we complained about the noise upstairs. She said she would talk with them. Nothing changed she gave us her cell phone number to call if there was more problems. We called again the noise was still going on. She said she would have them move to another room. They didn’t move. We called again at 9:30 pm with the noise and the water dripping. She said she could move us to another room, really! She didn’t offer when we first found the leak around 5:00. We are in our late 70’s and never complain. The noise continued all night. I called her the next day and told her the noise continued all night long. She said she couldn’t help that. I hanged up. I know some people were living there and not renting. I would not recommend this place to stay.

The hotel conditions are terrible, customers service are awful the front door to the reception is always locked. We needed to check out very early in the morning and no one was available to open the door and help us, we had to go back to our room and leave the key in the room. No planing to stay there again.

We checked in and left immediately for a concert 2 miles away. Came back after the concert and the door opened without the key card. Upon inspection the lock was drilled out. Deadbolt didn’t work. There were two cigarette butts on the windowsill, squished out with ashes. The interior room was absolutely disgusting and human bodily fluids were a parent on the bedspread. The windows would not shut completely completely or lock. The room was filthy and disgusting. we called the front desk and they give us a different room. This room was even worse. We went to the front desk to get a refund and leave as we were not safe with the door not even locking, plus it appears that they are renting most of their rooms to the homeless community because they were all outside, smoking and drinking. They couldn’t give me a refund until the room was checked the next day. They said that because the room was utilized for four hours (while we were not there and at the concert), we would not be getting a refund. I called Hotels.com guest services and they were no help either and said I would have to get the refund from the hotel and not them. This room literally looked nothing like the pictures and it was completely unsafe. I hold Hotels.com responsible for renting places in this condition with fake advertising pictures for their customers and then supporting customers in a situation like this. I will be contacting Better Business Bureau for both hotels.com and the hotel.

God service

In area for basketball game in Albany. Booked hotel online. Location of the hotel was in a questionable area. Rooms were kind of old and smelled. A few strange people hanging out in the parking lot and hallway. The coffee maker was in the bathroom! Don’t think I would return.

Easy to find. No kindess from the receptionnist. Not clean in public corridor. Accommodation was basic. The AC was noisy. We have to ask for two missing towels. Well located, close to Albany's downtone and commercial area. Correct for one night

This place was okay, there were sketchy people hanging around but the place was cheap and convenient with ample parking.

Its really a Motel where people even live there. Rugs were disgusting. Bathroom toilet didn’t work properly, shower wall broken. Pillows very old. Comforter not comfortable. It looks like a guetto area. No where clise to eat clean food.

I booked because there was a concert at the MVP arena, and this was located a short drive avay. The hotel itself appears to be fine (not run down, clean), but looks can be deceiving. It seems that this place doubles for housing. When I got back from the show, there were 2 police cars and an ambulance (this was in the middle of the week). I had to ask the police if I was able to proceed to my room. The next day there was a commotion which appeared to be a heated argument between two residents. Two police cars showed up, and they had a tazer on one of the residents. As i was leaving, three more police vehicles rushed in. So not stay here, despite the convenient location.

My refrigerator leaked. There was no hangers and no iron. The bathroom was dirty. The comp breakfast was disappointing.

Coffee should be in lobby not only in mornings

Smoking room, I had requested nonsmoking. Once I'm settled I don't wanna be bothered switching..it was only 3 nites but next time really prefer nonsmoking. Hairdryer nonfunctional. Only tried on my checkout day so again, not worth mentioning to staff. Website said breakfast included. Needs to be updated. Staff very pleasant, friendly, helpful.

This place is about average for a 2-star property. First impressions: It looked like a crowbar had been used to force the door open in the past and the deadbolt on the door would not engage. I found the smell of the cleaning agents used were a bit put-offish but did not interfere with my sleep. The blanket on the the fold out bed had some goo on it and the staff quickly provided a replacement. The bathroom while clean, had a tub that had been repaired (badly) multiple times - and I would recommend you don't look up. A continental breakfast of coffee, cereal, some carbs (muffins) and fresh fruit was included and available in the front office. The staff was friendly.
